We booked three rooms- all were very different in size but all really nice ,clean and with good bathrooms. Good location especially for the kids and Hyde Park. The staff were really excellent at front desk.Helpful with all requests. So the hotel was good but wouldnt recommend breakfast .Staff didn't have much of a clue .. waited 15 minutes for bacon and baked beans - not great when you are paying £16
The location is ok, the street is super busy all day and all night, it's a main thoroughfare and you can hear the traffic from inside the room. Across from Hyde Park is nice, but you have to take the Tube or the bus to see anything other than the park, in central London. The room was clean, but if you're a woman who needs to use a hair dryer and curling iron, you're out of luck in the bathroom, there are no outlets in there. You'll have to pull up a chair to the full-length mirror in the chair and plug it in there and use the ironing board as a table for your curling iron. The bed was super uncomfortable. So, nothing remarkable here and we felt it was super expensive for not being remarkable.
The Hilton Hyde Park Hotel is brilliantly situated accross Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park, with the undergroudn station just around the corner. The quality of the hotel and the friendliness of all the employees is fantastic, you feel very welcome and they will help you with anything in a quick and efficient way. We were happy to have stayed here and will definitely come back (Thank you Eva ;-) )
Not as fancy as you'd expect for a Hilton hotel but room was spacious and very clean. Fridge in the room with 2 complimentary bottles of water. Location is perfect. Right across the road from Hyde park, which we walked across to get the the hotel after getting dropped at Victoria. There is 2 subway station stops, Bayswater and Queensway, within a 2 minute walk. There is so many places to eat next to it that I lost count, as well as Tesco and Sainsbury's express shops. Breakfast in the hotel was great. All kinds of cooked breakfast and pastries. Stayed for 2 nights and it was an enjoyable stay.
Enjoyed our stay, clean room, excellent staff, location great! Breakfast included would have been a plus, although a small cafe next door was very good and reasonably priced. Easy to catch the hop on hop off bus tour.
The Good - Fantastic location as the tube station and bus stops are literally 50 steps away. So convenient!!! The park is across the road so that is fantastic too. And there are loads of eateries and shops down Bayswater Road beside the hotel. The Bad - the hotel's WIFI sucked. We had to change rooms to get a better connection to the router which still didn't work. We even had the WIFI network suppliers work with us to get better WIFI and that still didn't work so I ended paying for my Malaysian Phone Data the entire time in London. The hotel wasn't clear about their free breakfast. One day it would be breakfast was included for 2. The next day was breakfast for above 9 year olds had to pay extra. The next day we had to give an extra coupon if my 11 year old wanted breakfast. So much inconsistency that we skipped breakfast a few days at the hotel which wasn't great either as they served the same old thing daily. Really not like the Asian Hilton kind of buffet spreads! Would I go back? Yes, simply for the location until I can find another central 4-5 star hotel beside a tube station!
The Bottom Line - 5 stars. Great location, modern rooms, great staff and a great breakfast. Good price for London. With many Hilton properties in London, this one was impressive. The Great - the rooms, while on the smaller side, were very modern or recently renovated. Bathrooms were very modern. Ample chargers for a gadget geek, including USB ports. Breakfast at the restaurant was fantastic, one of the better ones I’ve had in a Hilton property. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location can't’ be beat, with Hyde park right there and a quick walk to Kensington palace. The meh - the elevators are a little tight, as are the stairwells. This is a function of the building, which is clearly older/historic, although all of the facilities are newly renovated. To Be Aware - the nearest Tube station is either 121 steps or elevator only. It can get a little crowded during rush hour but not unbearably so. There is no concierge lounge at the property because it’s small.
Excellent & friendly Service from Pedro on Reception.A nice room on 6th floor with comfortable bed, nice tv ,and really good shower .Hotel well situated for Hyde Park and ease of transport by Tube or bus to Oxford St & theatres etc.Hotel good all round but waiting for lift to 6th floor can be a minor problem at busy times .A good breakfast but would have preferred cooked food to have been kept warmer. Staff polite and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Well done.
A small unassuming hotel, the lobby is short on style, the elevator tiny, the rooms just ok, BUT the staff are amazing and I'd return there in the future. Less than one block to the Queensway Station (Central Line) this quaint Hilton has some of the best staff in the business. Niccolo upgraded my room without me asking; Eva carefully scanned and sent business-related documents (twice) as there is no business center and Pedro worked overtime to get re-booked on my tour to Bath and Stonehenge after the first booking was sold out. Amazingly warm and sincere staff!
Hello. There are a lot of hotels at this area but this hotel has very good location for business goals and for rest (morning and evening walk through the Hyde Park will make you fresh all the day, there are tube station and road with cab's near hotel). Very kind staff ready for quick help in any situations.
