Hilton London Hyde Park

This hotel has really a great location, just next to Queensway tube station and in front of Hyde Park. Unfortunately the lack of sympathy of some of the staff members and the disappointing accommodation do not make you want to return to this hotel. We had a nice check-in experience and Tim at the reception delivered us a really nice service and took great care of us. But the room was really too small and the bathroom even more! The flush was not working properly, the shower water jet was really low and we found stains on the blanket. But the worse was definitely the breakfast experience, really cold welcome from the hostess and a small choice for the breakfast buffet.

My wife and I chose this location because the price was very good. We were surprised by the great location. Queensway has a tube station next door and everything you might need on a vacation. From Restaurants, coffee shops to a great 100 year old bakery a Sainsbury express and a couple of Boots. The bus terminal is there and Hyde Park across the street. 20 minute walk to Harrods and access to the rest of London via the Central line. Going back to Lindon this year and while we considered other hotels we couldn't justify staying anywhere else. It is now our hotel in London.

Stayed for one night only as a diamond Member. Debora the Italian receptionist was excellent and very helpful, unfortunately the back up was sadly not up to standard, we were informed we could check in at 2.00pm, the room was not available until 3.30pm, a number of other guests were rather frustrated as they also could not check in at alloted time. Room was first class, spacious, clean and well equipped. We went to a show and arrived back at 10.30 and went to the bar for a drink, it was empty of guests and staff, we waited a few minutes and went a look for a barman, front desk staff managed to find a waiter who reluctantly served us, other guests fed up and annoyed at the the poor service left. You can only get a drink until 11.00pm and then it has to be room service, to cap it all there was a service charge on our bill for the service of drinks in the hotel bar. We complained and charge was removed. It was all too difficult, what should have been a pleasant end to an enjoyable evening was all hassle, dreadful service, Hilton need to examine the service culture here. We have stayed here before but it has deteriorated, if it is a quality hotel it must a comparable service, at present not even close. Breakfast, food was good but queue for the one poor quality slow oaster and the one coffee machine, Improvement required in a number of areas before we stay again, there are plenty of other options in the area

I like the hotel and location. Very convenient to 2 tube stations. Lots of eating places. Four very good Chinese restaurants on Queensway. More than 3 convenient stores. Hotel itself was good. Clean and comfortable. Could do with a safe box in the room. I'm surprised the access to the rooms floor levels were not like most Hilton I've been. No need for card scan which means anyone can get to your room door. And my room door didn't have a peep hole.

The hotel was a standard 5-star hotel with friendly staff upon check-in, very normally sized rooms (although we had booked for the King Deluxe room), and small bathroom with just enough amenities. There was no 5-star posh services, such as taking your bag to your room and bringing down your luggage (we had to do it ourselves). Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was okay, although the staff there might be inattentive to what you order (I am a Muslim, and they accidentally added pork into my omelette, the waitress did not apologize, but was instead blaming my husband for the whole issue). Hotel location was superb! Easy to get to almost anywhere you'd like to go using the public transportation services (tube and bus), but not very sufficient for walking to the famous London attractions (since its at least a 20 minutes walk away). Overall, I would rate this stay a 3/5.

I have enjoyed 4 nights of stay in this hotel which overlooks Kensington Park. There is an underground station in same building. Many moderate Resturants are close enough. Bus stations to Oxford and other attractions is few foot steps away. I like staying here whenever I visit London. Pricy little bit but worth it. Family enjoyed it socially corner room overlooking park and other side. There is a French Resturant attached to it. Food is ok but you can find other better .choices around with lower prices

Friendly and helpful staff, we were able to drop our bags off before check in so we could start our holiday luggage free. Staff gave us a cake and card for our anniversay which was a really nice touch. The room was nice and the bed was comfy, clean and huge. Breakfast was nice with a good selection though vegetarian sausages would have been a nice extra. Checkout was was really smooth, quick and easy, Staff were happy to look after our luggage as our train didn't leave till late, meant we could make the most of our last day. Great location being close to the lovely kensington park, queensway underground and only a 20min walk from Paddington station.

A fantastic stay at the Hilton for our 25th Anniversary. Staff were amazing, breakfast was out of this world and the little touches they made to enhanced our overall experience and weekend like the balloons and cake really made us feel special. Thank you

What a location! Everything London has to offer is within minutes of this great hotel. Either by foot or Queensway tube, 50 metres away. The rooms are beautifully appointed with all modern facilities. Loved the huge sash windows that can be opened to enjoy the fresh air and views of Hyde Park. Just fantastic. Incidentally. There was no noise that we could speak of... given it is located on Bayswater Road. The Hotel is a listed building which has been sympathetically restored And offers a somewhat nostalgic hotel experience of old London Town, whilst providing every possible convenience. Fabulous.... and so is the service and food, which is fresh, varied and beautifully prepared. There is also a lovely sidewalk cafe and Restaurant opposite Hyde Park, which has the best coffee in town and people watching at it's best. A special mention to Tim and all the staff. They are first class. A comfortable and intimate stay in a world rated chain in a City like no other.

We enjoyed a 5 night stay in London - the hotel is located just around the corner from the Underground at the Queensway stop and across the street from Hyde Park where you could view Kensington Palace. The hotel is close to a Hop on Hop Off Bus stop-perhaps a 2-3 block walk. The hotel offered a queen size bed which was much appreciated. The continental breakfast (additional cost) has a variety of items to suit most appetites. Staff was able to book tickets for us to some venues. They also booked a taxi for our return to Heathrow Airport. By joining the Hilton Honors program upon arrival we had access to free WiFi. We would recommend this location.
