Hilton London Hyde Park

Every time I stay at a Hilton I promise it’s my last, then I’m tempted again... Staff were friendly and the lobby was small but clean. I was offered an upgrade for a special discounted rate - which felt a little tacky, many others offer me an upgrade out of the kindness of their hearts! Also offered breakfast for £16, which I declined. AC was poor and difficult to control. Bed was comfy. I was in a queen size room but it wasn’t very big. My biggest issue was with the shower (over a bath). You had to lean over to get under it, not what you would expect from a room that can cost over £200/night. Bit of a slip hazard too imo. Sadly this was another example of a hotel that must survive on brand name alone (American tourists). There are so many more hotels to chose from in the area that are better and cheaper but don’t have the Hilton name - I’d recommend you broaden your horizons! Ironically, their other brands are better (Doubletree etc)

I've stayed at several Hilton properties in London and have found them to be most satisfactory. I chose this particular one because the rates were better and it overlooked Hyde Park. Small lobby, smaller lift, small rooms, mediocre breakfast buffet--but staff is up to par. Waitstaff and housekeeping were very reliable. Front desk was most gracious. I asked for a room facing the park--nice view but you also get the traffic noise despite the double windows. My only beef with this hotel (and practically ALL Hilton and Marriott properties!) is that they don't list the nearest transportation site on their webpage. This hotel is VERY conveniently located a few doors down from the Queensway tube stop on the Central Line. This is the easiest line for me in London as practically all sights require one or zero change of stations. This hotel should note this convenience in its website. I would come back here to stay simply because I like the calm of this place. None of the distractions or apparent chaos found in other larger properties.

We were there 2 months ago and it was a very clean hotel. Our room had a nice view in front of Hyde park. Breakfast was good and the atmosphere was very friendly. You can go to underground station by walk in about 1 minute and you can go to Oxford street by walk which takes about 15 or 20 minuets. The staff were very polite and friendly. The Lobby was small. In the end it was a comfortable and well located hotel.

Our stay at the Hilton London Hyde Park could not have been better. The staff were friendly and hospitable from the second we checked in to the second we checked out. They made us feel like we were great friends of theirs. The lounge was lovely and had a great atmosphere. Breakfast was perfect and filling. Our rooms were overlooking the park and the beds/pillows were comfortable. Location was great -- across from the park and Kensington Palace, next door to the tube stop on the central line, which made it so easy to get in and out of the hustle-bustle, and one stop away from Notting Hill and Portobello Market! The neighborhood was lovely too with several good pubs and restaurants and shops. We will definitely stay here again each time we come to London!

Excellent location of the hotel, IT is next to the Queensway tube station, very good for the tourist purpose. Rooms are very big and well maintained. Cleanliness is good. Room service is little slow. Staff is good and polite. Breakfast is very boring and no variety. All the days they have the same MENU so you get bored to eat the same thing. Service at the breakfast tables is also not very good. So for food this is not the hotel

I have stayed here a couple of times now. The first time, I landed in London for a last minute trip and didn't have a hotel booked. Since I always stay at Hilton properties, I picked one without much research, and ended up here. Since that time, I always choose the Hilton Hyde Park. The staff is great, and I love the location. Easy walking distance to many places, and 30 second walk to an underground station. The hotel is classic with a modern touch, and offers both the best of old London and new London. I enjoyed spending each night sitting in the lounge area with a drink in hand and reading a good book. I loved my upgrade, and the views of the park are great. The hotel restaurant is good for breakfast (never tried dinner). Wifi is great, even in the rooms.

Stayed here for one night, great location less than 5 mins walk from the Queensway tube. Really friendly staff. Good sized room and a powerful shower! Overlooked the park which was an added bonus. Only complaint is the breakfast, there was a wide selection of food but the hot food was all a bit cold!!

Hotel grew on me over the three days I was there Rooms clean and functional for a business visit. Location fantastic for stretching legs in the Gardens or Park and close proximity to Tube for London access. On site restaurant good - particularly for breakfast.

Stayed at this hotel for two nights recently. Good clean hotel, great location and friendly staff. Cannot fault it - comfortable bed, nice hot shower. We didn't eat there as we were room only but plenty of eateries within walking distance. Very enjoyable stay despite the snow and freezing temperature outside!

We stayed at the Hilton for one night. It is a hotel I like and I choose to stay most times I am in London since 2003. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are comfortable and quite large compared to most hotels of the same level in London. The park view rooms are a bit more expensive but worth every penny. I would like to specially praise the work of Debora della Francesca at the reception desk, she made us feel at home. There has also been some important refurbishing since the last time we were here, the restaurant has expanded to the front and the breakfast area has been completely redone (at least it seems like it) and it looks great. Only the quality and variety of the breakfast buffet has been reduced and we deemed it a pity as the quality-price relationship for it has been altered (no salad or vegetables, no smoked salmon and many other choices are not there anymore), I wished I had known when opted for it. Overall our stay was great, we will be back.
