Staff was very friendly and the room was super clean!

This Hotel is old and rooms could be upgraded. The biggest negative is traffic. getting into and out of the hotel is not safe, especially if you need to get into the far left lane

The most comment worthy aspect is the staff. They all were wonderful--from the front desk to the breakfast prep gals. The room was tidy and adequate. The bed was comfortable. I was in a room with a King bed way down the hall from the front desk (Rm 125). It was very quiet. The indoor pool area was very nice, but as I was there for a conference, I was looking for quiet which is what I got. On the down side, there was an odor in the room noticeable every time I walked in. At first I likened it to someone having smoked in there before me, but as the week went on (I was there M-F), I couldn't place the odor. Now I am thinking it was the cleaning solutions, but I cannot be sure. I got a good price on the room and felt as though I was given this room (perhaps one of the less-desireable rooms) because I paid less for it. When I asked for a new room on the second day, I was told they were full. The room was not SO terrible that I felt the need to go elsewhere. The most annoying thing other than the odor was that the toilet seat was so loose I was afraid I was going to fall off it every time I sat on it. Additionally, it was the old style--push the metal rod with your foot--type of flush mechanism. I think this was an old outdoor motel that was purchased by Quality Inn and converted to an indoor type of hotel including the pool. The rooms nearer the front desk seemed nicer than the area where my room was located. Besides the toilet issues and the odor, it was an adequate facility

I primarily booked this hotel because of pricing and proximity to my destination. Staff was friendly and courteous. But the non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes and there were cigarette burn marks on the bedding apron. I needed a taxi the next morning, but when I called the list of taxis given by the hotel, half didn't answer, one was out of business (for 3 years) and another was booked solid for the morning. My wife was able to locate a taxi service that has served the Lansing area for decades, and they arrived in ten minutes. It looks like they have plans to renovate the facilities soon. Not soon enough.

My hotel room was filthy and dingy. Even the water felt dirty. My saving grace was my socks (dare not let my feet touch the floor) and my Lysol wipes. At least the bedding was clean. Never again.

Horrible stay. Room temp never dropped below 80 degrees.

The facility is older and, although it may have been updated, it doesn't look like it. Most areas of carpet appear grungy and the bathrooms are just plain old. Unfortunately, it sounded like we had tweakers for neighbors for the first night...they started yelling at 2:40 am and didn't stop loud activity until 5 am. Although not the hotel's fault, it could be indicative of the clientele. The walls are very thin which made matters worse. I requested to be moved to the quietest room in the house. Staff complied. The HVAC is hard to dial in. The thermostat was not accurate (in either room). The beds were good. We were given two free drink tickets that I had planned on using on my last night there, but when I went to get them they were gone, although the other two pieces of paper that were near the same location on the TV stand were where I left them. No one other than hotel staff had access. I looked all around the stand and did not find them. Draw your own conclusions. I must acknowledge I did not tell staff of our loud neighbors until breakfast, nor did I inform them of the missing tickets (I highly doubt they would have replaced them). The Ramada, where I stayed because of a flight delay, was much nicer.

Was given an inside room w/1 thin, vertical window that faced the hallway. The room was incredibly warm & stuffy. Apparently no way to make the room cooler. It had to be 80F. When I asked the front desk to do something or change the room, I was told there was nothing that could be done and gave me a dirty box fan. I found it ironic, though, they the lobby/front desk were so cool the staff were wearing jackets.

Staff are very nice and helpful. Housekeeping are very lazy. Room cleanest is poor. Dust is all over. You have to tell them what to do. Breakfast is the same everyday.

Travelling from out of state to drop our son off at Michigan State. We stayed two nights. The hotel is conveniently located under 5 minutes drive to campus with easy access. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the facilities adequate, but the hotel is showing age. In our room there was wear and tear. The faucets in the sink area showed age needed replacement, as did the baseboards in the room. If you're looking for a convenient low price two-star hotel, this meets your needs. We would go back, but limit your expectations. Breakfast was offered, but it's Styrofoam plates, instant eggs and make your own waffles. The hotel does have a nice big pool for children, but their gym is an elyptical, a bike, and a lifting machine, all vintage.

It's an ok hotel. Very old. Beds and bathroom are very old.

Looked nothing like the photos on their website. My feet stuck to the tile in the bathroom.

The bed was ok but pillows were all small squares and so odd. Bathroom was dated and corners were very dirty. Towels smelled bad. The walls were so thin that you can here neighbors conversation and felt every doors open and shut. Woke up every time som doors shut (even 6 doors down) through the night. I paid $170 for this $40 worth room. Never again!

Great stay for the $! The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the courtyard experience is very welcoming! Having a bar by the pool gives your stay a vacation feel.

Stayed here during the week while in town to interview at MSU. Great location with lots of dining and grocery options within walking distance, conveniently located very close to campus and the Landing airport. Room was clean, furnishings were modern, and it was quite comfortable. Only complaint was that the pool is located in the center of the hotel, so when a huge group with rowdy children came in for the weekend, there was no quiet place to escape to, and the noise echoed terribly throughout the lobby. However, the front desk staff was excellent, and did their best despite the poorly behaved guests. Would definitely recommend for a mid-week stay, or a weekend stay if you don't particularly care about noise.

It was wonderful the rooms are clean and the staff are helpful and friendly I went for two days and extended my stay for two more and invited family to get a room its beautiful

everything was good restaurants a little pricey. location perfect for convention we attended.

Loud AC and corridor lights kept us up most of the night. There are larger bathrooms on airplanes. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Could not control the temp in the room. The thermostate did not change the temp.

Everything I needed to unwind after the conference.
