Pretty outdated but bed was comfy. While in the shower tub filled up with water and would not drain. Toilet flap also needed replacement. Otherwise the running water from the toilet will keep you up at night. Small bar soap, small bottle of hair conditioner, and bottle of lotion were provided. I guess they ran out of shampoo? Parking is in the rear, in a not so well lit area. Free breakfast was offered only til 10 am. We slept in so never took advantage of this. Lastly, we didn't want to be disturbed in the morning by room service but a do not disturb sign was not available in the room so I made my own sign and hung it. Really?

After taking 20+ minutes to check in with only two people in front of me, I went to my room to find it under construction or something. No bed other than a mattress on its side and bed rails or something in the bathroom. I went back downstairs and had to wait in line for 20 more minutes. Then they had trouble switching my room saying I may have to call orbitz to cancel first. Then they changed mind. Slowest checkin ever. New room was fine. But shouldn’t take an hour to get one.

The review would have been rated a whole lot better, but....I chose this hotel because wanted a hot tub, but it was out of service. Otherwise, it was very nice. Enjoyed sitting at the bar. Staff was good.

Nice room, lovely lobby and great room area. Very comfy bed.

Selected the Causeway while visiting our son who attends MSU and there was a home football game that weekend, so prices for hotel rooms across town went up. The staff were friendly and attentive, however undermanned at the front desk as there was quite a line of people trying to check in when we arrived. The staff were visibly working hard but could not keep up. We had two rooms, as we were traveling with my mother. Both had repair issues. In ours the in-room coffee pot did not work. We contacted the front desk who promptly replaced it while we were out, but they left the broken one in the room. In my mother's room the remote did not work and the toilet seat was cracked. The thing that stuck out was house service put a ribbon across the broken toilet showing it had been cleaned. when notified the hotel promptly made the repair. Overall, I would classify this as a two star hotel. Competitively priced and would stay again, but it's showing it's age and need for greater upkeep. There is a complementary breakfast offered but it consisted of waffle makers which were popular with many of the children present and then dry cereal or pastries. Very modest.

We came for a MSU football game and wanted ESPN. Seriously devastating if you are wanting to stay on top of football scores/games

5th Floor was noisy. Too far from my destination.

Lamps are too old. Wall papers need to change. Bath is clean. The beddings are 5-star quality and mattress super comfy so that I doubt if the hotel is run by someone with special fetish in beddings. I slept really tight in the white, thick, and silky comforter and sheet.

Our stay was a comedy of errors including being given a room that hadn't been cleaned, a dirty "crib" (ie: pack & play) being delivered, a poor attempt at "making up our room", the promise of a "better room" that ended up being exactly the same, and so on. That being said - the facility was modern and relatively clean and gave us a place to rest our heads. I'd stay again.

Needed a room for night before an early morning flight. Usual hotel had very high price so looked around. Booked this hotel based on price and some reviews. Area is rundown as is a lot of Lansing. Check in was good with friendly staff. Lobby and main areas looked good. Got off the elevator on my floor and the hallways seemed rather dim and more like an 80's place. Opened the room door and found the room was probably updated not too long ago. Room was spacious and furnishings comfortable and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was fairly clean and also mostly renovated but still had a tub and the show curtain bottom edge had mold. Besides the bathtub, the bathroom floor and room entrance floor appeared to be tile from original and seemed to be stained and possibly dirt under the top sealer. Small fridge is what I needed to hold some items I was traveling with and it worked well. Did not have the breakfast as my flight was before service started. The hotel is located farther from the airport than my usual hotel but with the expressway nearby, it only took about 10 minutes extra.

A/C and bathroom fan are noisy. Decoration is old, need to improve. Likes: Beddings are 5-star hotel look, high weave cotton, solid touch, medium memory. Garden looks nice. The complex of convention center and hotel is huge. Bathroom has quartz contertop.

FIRST OF ALL THE MANAGER WAS VERY RUDE & did not want to accommodate me for the mishap I endured. The pool area was down and from my understanding is always down because they don't want anyone swimming unless there is quite a fee people residing in the hotel. I called a day before to make sure it was up and running so if it was not I can cancel my reservation and go somewhere else. I only had to 4pm to cancel for a full refund. They assured me that it was up and running. A absolute lie, it was down and told me to go to the YMCA and swim. I was very upset and felt like I should be accomidated in a better way than telling me to go pay and swim somewhere else when I paid them $200 to swim there.

Check in staff were polite but very jocular. Could use training on professional interactions. Dark entry which hurts curb appeal. They could use a major chain affiliation. Used to be a Best Western Plus and likely lost their branding. Room was nice, some good updates. Checkout clerk was young and very professional. Continental breakfast was sparse for the upscale vibe they are trying to create.

The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was typical continental type. We enjoyed our stay.

Came to town to visit our son who studies at MSU. However it was a home football game weekend and hotels adjacent to campus had raised rates to 5x normal. We made reservations at the Causeway and found the commute to be very convenient and less than 10 minutes. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful but a bit overloaded. There was one person working the front desk with a line of guests when we checked in and one person and a line of guests when we checked out. The hotel has a full pool and hot tub that seemed to be very popular with families. We did not use the pool. The work out area had only two bikes, a tread mill, and a set of fixed weights. The tread mill was not working and the weights had a pin missing at one of the stations preventing a decent workout. A bit disappointing. Breakfast was filling and service pleasant but typical economy hotel fair, make your own waffle, dried cereal and convenient store variety of coffee. Overall, a clean decent place to stay. Based o nthe fair pricing would have no hesitation in returning if visiting East Lansing again on a Game Day.

Upon check in it took a half hour to do so. Then we went and there was hair in our shower, hair on our towel, and we did not have a tv remote. We had to change rooms after that.

When I arrived at 9:30 pm after MSU game and dinner, line of guests was 10 deep. I heard the clerk tell a man he did not have a room, even though he had reserved it 3 weeks prior and he had a confirmation number. Next, a tour group arrived to find rooms that had no wall paper, beds, couches, etc. They waited 2 hours for new rooms to be found and cleaned. The receptionist tried repeatedly to call for assistance, yet was unable to find anyone to come in and help her. Her emotions were understandably raw and her behavior was elementary. It was a completely stressful experience for all involved. I did receive my room (Amen...made the reservation back in August), but found the language and wandering behavior of the guests on my floor to be quite foul and offensive. Since there was no one on staff to address such complaints, it was futile to call. On the plus side, our beds were amazingly comfortable and the shower head was lovely. Under different circumstances this hotel could be quite lovely. However,we will probably not take the chance again.

I wasn't going to write anything but am forced to in order to submit a review. This is an old facility that is not very well maintained located in an area that is also not very well maintained.

The rooms were not really clean, the bathroom had dust and bits of soap chunks on the tub. We had to leave early and could not get extra coffee or cream and sugar.

The hotel was larger than I expected and located perfectly for our needs. We would definitely stay there again!
