We smelled marihuana in our room..called the front desk to tell them they told us they would "check on it and get back to us" they never did. I understand theres not much they can do but would be nice if we were notified of any updates in regards to them "checking".
I stayed here because I was attending a conference at the hotel across the street. I had a great experience at this hotel. The location was walking distance to a bunch of restaurants, a Starbucks and the Capitol Building. The staff were ALL very friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. The room ...
Hotel was exceptional from the time we checked in til the time we checked out. Very clean and the staff was very helpful.
Went to DC to visit GWU. Arrived late and were greeted by friendly staff. Felt welcome. Restaurant was closed so we ordered room service. Very expensive sandwiches and water. But, hey, its' Washington, D.C., you expect it to be expensive. So not really surprised. The hotel is an older hotel that seems to have been refurbished. My only complaint is the bathroom. Shower is old and the shower head was ancient. Updating the fixtures in the shower would be a nice touch. But it isn't a deal breaker. Just reminded me of the old hotels you might find on a drive out west, in the middle of nowhere. In DC I'd expect a better set up. But again, not a deal breaker. Sink water ran slow to near nothing. Beds were comfortable and easy to sleep in. I guess that's the focus of the room. Sleeping. Loads of restaurants near by. Across the street and up and down the road. Starbucks right next door which is good because the coffee in the hotel restaurant is terrible. Starbucks is not my favorite, but it was far above this stuff. That's all.
Our room was quiet and comfortable. The in room coffee is excellent!
Booked this hotel with a group for an event happening in DC. Bed was very comfortable and room was clean. Had to pay for parking garage but it was reasonably priced considering we were only staying one night. No free wi-fi. Staff was incredibly friendly including maid service. Got a great rate online. Good value!
