The Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, hailed as the world's busiest airport, is situated at 6000 North Terminal Parkway, just 7 miles south of downtown Atlanta. Airlines operating flights between Atlanta and Washington, DC, include Delta and United Express.
There are a number of shared-ride shuttles that make stops at Atlanta's airport. You may also go by the MARTA public transit train with a fare of just $2.50. A ride from downtown will only take about 20 minutes. Alternatively, there are limos and taxis that can take you to the airport. A taxi trip from downtown generally costs about $30 plus tip. There is a wide variety of choice with parking at Hartsfield-Jackson including short-term parking, daily parking, and economy parking. Daily parking is $16 per day, economy parking is $12 per day and the Gold Parker Program is $30 per day.

Dulles International Airport is located at 1 Saarinen Circle Location, in Virginia, 26 miles west of central Washington, DC. There are several ground transportation options for passengers at Dulles. The Washington Flyer Coach Service can transport you to the DC Metro for $10. Super Shuttle is also available; rates vary depending on the type of service used (shared-ride, nonstop, sedan, SUV, and so on). Alternatively, a taxi ride costs between $55 to $65 to reach downtown DC. If you need a rental car while you are in DC, several companies service the airport: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty.
Washington enjoys a humid subtropical climate. Spring and fall are warm, summer is hot and humid, and winter is cool with about 15 inches of snowfall. The best time of year to visit is probably the spring or fall with the average highs ranging in the 60s and 70s and lows in the 50s and 60s.
