The location of the property is perfect, only a couple of streets from downtown with shops and restaurants, it is very walkable. The staff at the front desk could not be nicer and helpful. The only thing that I did not like about my room is that I was on the first floor and there was no view or light from the window.

I did like the private beach access although small and the two fire pits along the walkway leading to the private beach below. The draw backs unfortunately outweigh the couple of positives. Our room was dark, at least on that side of the hotel. The bed and sheets were clean as was the room itself. I had no problem with the service and in fact given that I listed the incorrect number of guests, they were accommodating and supplied an air mattress that was all prepared and made with sheets and a comforter. In general the inn was outdated which for the nature areas of NH is not too uncommon. The bathroom was outdated as well though the bath tub/shower were in nice shape. Overall, in my taste the hallways, our particular room were dark and drab. The exterior needed some siding and woodwork replacing. For two nights it worked but for us, it’s not of the class of hotel/inn we prefer.

The rooms were big and nice. The condition of bathrooms and fixtures was a little disappointing. The water pressure was really low which made it difficult to get a decent shower. The restaurant/bar had good food, but the service was a little slow. Overall a good stay though because the staff was very nice and accommodating.

Two front desk women were speaking poorly of a fellow employee...very unprofessional. Window in room leaked cold air...even though window latched cold air still coming in...enough to move curtain.

Lovely short stay in quiet room with good on site restaurant and complimentary bikes.

Stayed there in 2016 and it was lovely. Stayed there in 2018.. different room, clean. but not as nice. AC filters were so dirty and the room was extremely musty. We removed the filters and informed the front desk. They did retrieve the filters. And the filter-less AC produced better air quality. But it soured the experience.Although, had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and the location is great.

A nice hotel, close to downtown shops and restaurants. Beach and lake views great. Hotel restaurant menu needs revising. They are trying too hard to appear upscale by adding a lot of exotic competing flavors, garnishes and ingredients into their entrees. Best to stick to the burgers if you go there or ask them to keep your entree simple, fresh and eliminate some of the multiple layers of garnishes and presentation elements - they just don't work. I ordered spinach salad, and even that was loaded with unusual garnishes - instead of fresh tomatoes, they sauteed the tomatoes in with onions and a ton of whole roasted garlic cloves, not to mention they added fried cheese balls that looked like sea urchins, fried prosciutto and jumbo watermelon radish roses! I did not eat half the stuff. Also noticed they like to fry or roast what are usually fresh ingredients like fried asparagus, fried avocado, fried cauliflower, and roasted radish.

Hotel front desk (short haired woman was rude and not helpful)Evening woman was a gem…. Room dark and low ceiling, view of air-conditioning units. Beds old…..and felt I had to hold on to stay on the double bed.

Love this hotel. Stayed here before in the summer. Stopped here during a storm to spend the night. Greeted with a great smile, hot chocolate and cookies. Checked in in less then 15min and in the room. Bed was So So in the comfort level but I must say I am a PICKY person when it comes to mattress's. The grounds are beautiful and a added bonus is having the Tavern right on site. Great food and apps. Ice Cold Beers.

I needed to be in the area on business with a one night stay. I was looking for a nice hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and the necessary amenities on site. The room was great. The lounge and restaurant were clean, and the service was good. The food was very good. And, I was able to eat outside on the deck with a nice view of the lake. No one rushed me as I enjoyed my dinner, the view and the weather. The hotel is within walking distance of the center of town where there are shops and galleries, which I explored before heading back to the hotel for my dinner. The price was reasonable. I would recommend the hotel for business travelers. The hotel appeared to have activities for families, but I was alone and didn't look in to that.

We attended a wedding at the Wolfeboro Inn and the setting', banquet staff, and food were all excellent. Rooms were older, but very comfortable and we had a great stay

Stayed for a weekend for a wedding in the area. The hotel lobby and sitting areas are very cozy and warm and nicely decorated, a nice place to sit with a book. The outside gardens are beautiful and the view from the chairs on the patio is great. There are 2 fire pits that are lit at night. The morning coffee in the lobby is excellent. The room, a queen bed standard room was dark and gloomy. A brighter light would be welcomed. The room was clean. I was disappointed that there is no treadmill or a small exercise room, I assumed there would be, but did not check before booking. We were also disappointed that the Bruins game was not picked up by the TV in the room. We had dessert in the tavern and it was delicious, the service was very good. We did have a hard time finding someone to seat us early for breakfast so we went elsewhere. The best thing about the Wolfeboro Inn is the location right in town, walk anywhere. Try out the old railroad walking trail down Railroad Avenue for beautiful woods and water views.

We stayed at the Inn for one night. The accomodations exceeded our expectations. The room was large and spacious. The staff friendly and courteous, The food was superb !!!!

Beautiful location within walking distance to center of town, where many enjoyable shops were found. If not the shops, the view was fantastic. All kinds of seasonal activities were close by.

I was there for business and now can't wait to go back for pleasure with my girlfriend. Beautiful location with a private beach. The room was great and the Wolfe Tavern was so much fun. Great staff!

Recently renovated room was comfortable, clean and had lots of space. Loved the fireplace seating areas in the lobby. Tavern was convenient ...food okay, Location to town easy walking distance.

Great facility. For an inn with only 44 rooms, they had all the comforts of a much larger hotel. food was fantastic and REASONABLE. Service was great in all aspects, from grounds people to server, bartender and front desk girls. About 31 miles from Weirs Beach, but just a two minute walk to downtown. We will definatley return to this location. Also, a twice daily ferry ride leaves from the premises for only $12!!!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I arrived a day earlier than the second party and staff was very accommodating in giving me a room that could be used the rest of the week for both of us. Was very nice not to have to pack up to change rooms. We liked the interior redesign although we were not familiar with the previous decor. It reminds me of a lodge more than an inn (so I don't agree that it has a southwest/western atmosphere as someone has previously stated). I was a little disappointed or maybe naive to think that the picture shown on booking site would be the type of room I was going to have but our room was very nice for the little amount of time we spent in it. I can't say that the room was kept immaculate - dust on fixtures in bathroom - and floor was not sweep behind bathroom door. Minor things but things none the less. We did notice that there were no paintings of any type in the room. We did leave the windows open all the time as the third floor was very warm and the air conditioner was too much/difficult to regulate. We had plenty of towels. We were treated to a couple of chocolate chip cookies upon arriving "home" after 100 miles in the White Mtns. There was only one chair in the room booked for double occupancy and was addressed the following morning prior to the second party arriving.

This older inn has nice location in downtown Wolfeboro, but was not an especially good value at $160.00/night on a slow Tuesday night.
