Not clean and smelled terrible
We stayed here a few years ago and we were not happy cause TV can only be watched from 1 of 2 beds. We decided to try again hoping that things have changed. Again- rooms set up so the TV is only view-able from one bed. The rooms were dated but clean. The bathroom very small. There was a problem with the TV and the door key not working. I was sick and I wanted to do was lay in bed, watch TV. I had to call the front desk. The manager came and he was nice. He fixed the TV and then he took the door knob off to fix it. The door key, however, never worked. That was not my main issue. The first night we were there and I expressed to the manager that I was considering leaving the next day instead of staying 2 nights as we were not happy about the TV situation. The manager was very apologetic and he said to please stay and he would make sure things were good. The next day my husband and I left in the morning and did not return till late in the day. Again our key did not work. The lady in the office came down and opened it. When we entered the room it was NOT cleaned. I expect my bed to at least be made when I stay more than 1 night. The lady said that I probably had the 'do not disturb' on and I told her NO we were gone all day. The cleaner did come into the room cause towels were gone and there were NONE left. I also saw that the tv was on a different channel when I turned it on than it was when left so cleaner probably watched TV when we were gone. We we not happy with our stay.
The first night we stayed I could not sleep because I was scared of all the Cockroaches. I will never stay there again
The sheets were in poor condituions and the price was to high
No smoking rooms with chairs and ash trays outside the front window guarantee smoke in rooms unless you turn on the incredibly loud AC/heater. Also, by FAR the noisiest room I've ever stayed in! People were noisy until 1:00 AM the 1st 2 nights (with people making noise both inside and out) followed by 4-5 people talking (sometimes yelling) until 4AM the 3rd night. I'm not even sure it wasn't locals using it as a hangout.
Only stayed one night, but it was a great stay. The hotel was under construction/remodeling. Other than that there were no problems. I would stay again if ever up that way again. I was very quiet, and away from traffic. Very nice.
Only stayed there because it was convenient to the industrial part I was working at. Four nights, one of them they didn't even make the bed or clean the room during the day. No coffee. Grungy lobby.
When we arrived we were checked in promptly. Our first impression of the establishment was to walk into a lobby that was under total construction. Bare except for the reception desk and visible electric work in the ceiling. When we saw this we knew that the continental breakfast advertised on the site was unavailable. We went to the room, loving the easy access of parking right in front of our room. The room was a nice size and very clean. The king bed was very comfortable. The drawback was the smell of perfumed cleaners meant to mask the smell of lingering smoke in the room. We had reserved a non smoking room. We got very little sleep due to eye irritation, headaches and throat irritation from the combination of resilient smoke and cleansing agents.
The staff was very friendly. Room was dissapointing; hair in sink and bathtub, mirrors were dirty and smudged.
We always go to the powwow at Mi-Te-Jo Campground in Milton for Columbus Day weekend, and this is the first time we have stayed in Rochester. From the motel to the campground was a straight shot up route 125. It was also convenient to be so near to restaurants and convenience stores. The motel room itself was simple, but clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast included Belgian waffles and the manager was very friendly!
I have been disappointed by room noise from other people at other motels but not at the Anchorage Inn. The room next door was also occupied but I never heard my neighbor, their TV or shower. There was construction out on the main road but I couldn't hear anything from my room. My daughter and I were completely happy with our stay. The staff was attentive and friendly. While my daughter was at a Horse Clinic it was just a short ride for me to the Kittery, ME outlets. If there was any improvement to be made, I would say the inside of the room was not handicap accessible.

Hello, There was 1 stink bug which somehow was found in the room. But you said roaches as you wanted to stay for free somehow, which doesn’t work at our property. Well, we would not like to host you again, because of your such intent.
