We loved this old-fashioned, quaint Inn! All staff we experienced we're friendly and helpful. The room was almost perfect for our needs except the window air conditioner which was very dirty but once I cleaned the filter, it worked better. For us, the on-site restaurant was a huge bonus that we enjoyed very much. The meals and beer we're awesome and reasonably priced. We checked out before breakfast was served but a kitchen staffer heard us leaving and offered us a coffee for road - great service! No surcharge for parking and in a great area to explore. The restaurant atmosphere was comfortable and the decor interesting to check out. They are proud of their Spaulding High!
This was such a great find!! The staff (Nicole, Robin, John) were just wonderful!!! The room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable!!! The restaurant atmosphere and the food was just so yummy!!! I'm so glad we stayed four nights, I wish we could've stayed much, much longer. You simply can't go wrong here, thanks to everyone who made this stay so memorable. I couldn't have been more pleased.
Excellent experience all around. We arrived very late and the a/c was running at the perfect temperature. Breakfast outside was lovely and the staff were very nice and friendly.
Staff at front desk was very pleasurable. Food was excellent for late night dining.
It was a little difficult climbing to the third floor for my husband who is 72 years old.
The property is a bit worn and tired. Restaurant and bar on premises were good. Quiet rooms. The interiors seem haphazardly arranged rather than coordinated. Charming through a soft focus lens.
My overnight stay was perfect! Room and bathroom were very clean. Enjoyed it more than staying at a hotel! Although the restaurant didn't have a lot of GF options, everything smelled awesome. I would have given it a try if I didn't have other plans. Will stay here again anytime I am in Rochester!!!
This is a lovely historical inn. It is managed by people who see and enjoy its history. They make it accessible and popular to people who enjoy socializing to music in this atmosphere close to nature but also in a small city setting. All of this is excellent.
The only concerns come with the expectations of modern travel (e.g. bigger rooms, bathrooms with space for travel items, etc.) still, breakfast is ample and well thought-out, rooms are very clean, staff capable & friendly. If one chooses to stay for supper, meals appear to have good variety and well-priced.
