The pricing on this property puts them in a category they have no business claiming. Yes, they do come in and clean rooms daily. Yes, they do have amenities on site, but not of the class the pricing dictates. It was almost $150.00 in property fees for a 3 night stay and the amenities just don’t dictate this kind of fee. We went off season and a 1 bedroom king suite with property fee was close to $700 a night midweek. I would only travel to this property for work in the future.
I have stayed at this property numerous times and have always had positive experiences. However, this stay was different as the hotel was under construction and renovation. There was no communication prior to arrival that there would be restrictions and the historic aspect of the hotel was being completely renovated. it would’ve been helpful to have either meals compensated or some clear communication prior to arrival that the hotel was not going to be as a advertised. Management should have let it’s guests know. We had a family with us that from California and didn’t get the true experience and spent money to be there. We had to walk around various hallways and floors to get anywhere (no clear signs of where to go or staff directing to where things had been relocated). We were looking forward to the views of the harvest tavern and cocktails in the lobby by the fire place just to find out, after driving hours, neither of these were available. Communication about a construction work zone and some type of compensation for all the restrictions would have made for a better experience. I’ve been a guest numerous times and this is the only negative experience I have had.
Lobby is nice to sit and look out the window/people watch. For the price, the resort has gone downhill, unfortunately. Everything is a la cart with a high fee, (requesting a microwave cost $30). I was looking forward to the outdoor amenities, which several were cancelled due to lack of staff. The rooms are nice but over $600 for 2 nights is best spent somewhere else.
Beautiful property located near many great attractions.
Everything
Beautiful grounds and excellent attentive staff!
Property was beautiful, aswas the view. I do want to say two things that i was unhappy anout. The front desk staff were not as polished as one would expect of a high end hotel.. more important I was charged a "RESORT FEE" which i did not expect or appreciate, not being made aware of in advance. And got no explanation what it was for. Would hesitate to book.again.
View and grounds were beautiful. Very friendly staff, great service.
Being able to bring your own glass of wine on the porch to relax and enjoy the view. Plus close to SV
Great resort
The hotel is beautiful. Its in a great location with spectacular views. Its clean and spacious. Unfortunately, some of the staff ruined what was suppose to be a celebration weekend by accusing members of our group of stealing. They did apologize and try to rectify the situation but i left the weekend tarnished. Was pretty disapp6, as weve been there before, hence why we chose this location.
Staff was not accommodating with room changes where they could have been.
Property was stunning and very clean!
This property was the cleanest hotel I’ve ever Stayed in. The staff extremely helpful, courteous, & kind. The location in the shadow of Mt Washington exquisite. Deserves a five star rating.
Staying at this hotel is like stepping back in time. It was renovated nicely and has a lot of old fashioned charm. The hotel is very clean and well staffed. The grounds and views are also very beautiful. One thing that we were a bit disappointed about was that most of the staff and other guests chose not to wear masks in public, indoor areas (although there was signage that this is recommended).
The free game room and movies for the children. The porch with cocktails and a beautiful view. Beverage service was very slow and food service a bit too! Online reservations for the restaurant were not good. Other than that everything was excellent! Love thst you keep the food prices reasonable.
Really amazing place. Better than I imagined
That was our second stay in the last 3 years. Like last time the staff was very friendly and professional, the resort was well kept and the food was amazing.
Flurried the whole weekend making the property look like a winter wonderland. We were able to enjoy snowshoeing (staff who did the rentals didn’t seem knowledgeable) but we still enjoyed ourselves on their well maintained trails. The harvest tavern has top quality food!! I love that room service has improved since covid-19, I hope that will continue at our future stays!

Thank you for your feedback Diane. I am very sorry for the confusion with the resort fee. We will look into how we can make the resort fee clearer during the booking process. This fee is used to make amenities available that other resorts and hotels charge for like Wi-Fi, parking and more.
