Nice & Relaxing - up until it wasn't! room clean & well maintained, beds comfortable. nice soak in the outdoor hottub in the morning. Shower was hot and had good water pressure. I left room keys in the room, and a tip for housekeeping -- then went to my van. (No coffee in the lobby). At the van I realized I left my phone in the bathroom, so I pulled around to the door, left my van running -- and went back to get it. Housekeeping attempted to open the door -- but, SOMEHOW THE LATCH HAD CLOSED SO THE DOOR ONLY OPENED ABOUT TWO INCHES before catching on the latch. housekeeping went into the room nextdoor to call down for assistance, and after about 10 minutes -- she followed up with me -- and I too went into next room and called for assistance. Few minutes later, guy came -- saw situation & said, "I don't know why they called me up here." and turned to leave. I asked what's up? and he said, "Relax man, I'll be right back." I went to follow and said I had to turn off my van that I left running, and he told me again to "Relax" he would be quick. Housekeeping asked what's up, and I told her -- "he didn't tell me anything -- he just told me to relax." He was back quickly, obviously irritated, and when I asked how does this happen -- he went off on me -- telling me I cannot talk to him like that and I was treating him like a dog. I was not & had not lost composure yet, but it devolved into screaming as he used plyers to rip the latch off the wall. Turned a nice stay into tense one.

When we initially walked into the room we noticed it smelled terrible. We found that one of the pillows on the couch smelled like puke. Then when we moved the pillow and gave it to the cleaning crew we discovered dried puke on the couch, in multiple spots. There was also random receipts and stickers under the bed we cleaned up ourselves.

I surprised my wife with a 4 day, 3 night stay for her birthday. The hotel was great with two pools, two jacuzzis and we saw a couple of free movies at night. I also surprised her with a 1 hour couples massage. The masseuses were great and professional the only downside was the massage room is in the lower level next to the main mechanical room. I always expect a 1 hour massage to be a quiet relaxing experience. Not one hour of loud AC equipment and pump motors one door away. DON"T DO THE MASSAGE! GO ELSEWHERE.

At the grand hotel, New Hampshire, I definitely will not be going back there. I feel like it was a very dirty hotel. It smelled the rooms weren’t that clean that hotel needs a total refurbishment
