The sloping of the bedroom floor took some adjusting to, but we liked everything else about our room, and the breakfasts are great.
We loved the surroundings of Jackson and Conway. Receptionstaff was very helpfull and had attention. The breakfast is focused on full american. More continental brekfast is poor. We left our feedback on one of the staffmembers at the management.
Amazing location, nice breakfast, cottages were very nice and offered privacy and yet maintained the homely feel
Caveat Emptor. Disappointing, particularly the way the room rate is advertised. If you don't read the "fine" print (and why should I) you don't know they charge $16.50/day for a resort fee (pool, etc). You are charged this regardless of whether you use them. This should be in the room rate as you pay no matter what on a daily basis. This hides the true cost vs. other accommodations. I don't care if "everyone" does this because everyone does not. Also, the spa tub in the room did not work and when I was checking out the person said only the manager can provide a credit. They need to empower employees to make adjustments. I did not ask for a free room for the day just to remove the spa fee as I could no fully utilize the facility.
This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I could have stayed at a best western for cheaper and with a working shower. Rooms are older and the theme is like your staying at grandmas. Didn’t care about the looks of it but when I pay to stay somewhere I don’t want to feel disgusted the whole time and I’m paying for at least a working shower. Was not comfortable staying there another night. My ceiling looked like it had a leak above the bed that was just painted over and my tub kept coughing up gunk in the drain the the water was backed up and not functional to use. I was staying there for a wedding so thank god I had a friend staying there too but I had to walk outside the main inn in the cold with my toiletries to go use someone else’s shower. I booked for two nights but left immediately after the wedding was over and didn’t stay the second night. When I checked out and spoke to the girl at the desk. I told her about the shower problem and her response was that’s strange. The staff couldn’t care less. I recommend finding somewhere else to stay other than this mess.
Our waitress Cathy was excellent and a wealth of information. Our room was comfortable, but needs an update. It was a little tired.
This hotel was perfect, grade A service and staff was very pleasant. We stayed at the carriage house and the room was spacious! I can't wait to book my next trip back to NH at Christmas Farm Inn :)
