Erie Inn & Suites Solstice

The room was rundown. There was a huge water stain on the ceiling, paint was chipped in places, the carpet was threadbare in places. We will definitely stay in a better known hotel next time. This hotel desperately needs some TLC.

I usually do not leave negative reviews, but the owners of this property have to step up their game. We had a hole in our wall behind the door, paint peeling off the ceiling in the bathroom-only one towel for guests, remote to tv not working and no hair dryer. Just lots of inconveniences. Plus, desk manager inappropriately mishandled a customer and threatened to call police when the customer just wanted a hard receipt for her stay and he wouldn't ablige.

This hotel was awful. I ended up leaving a day early without a refund for the two rooms I booked because there was literally no staff to help, dirty laundry in all the halls. They had the window at the end of the hall open on the third floor because it stunk so bad. I was traveling with my toddlers and I was afraid they’d fall. Couldn’t get the front desk to answer the phones. Our key cards never worked. They didn’t even know how to check me in when I first got there! I waited almost 30 minutes for someone to even show up at the front desk and it ended up being a cleaning lady that had no clue!

The worst starting with the manager she is rude when we got to our hotel after 8 hours drive we get their and the room was not ready we waited 3 hours in top of that I stayed for 4 days and not once the cleaning lady came in to clean and give us clean Towel and sheets and more coffee never again and drink lady’s outside the lobby screaming at everyone walking in to the hotel to check in.

Love the style!! Everything felt fresh and modern. Everything was clean, staff was polite. Waffles for breakfast!!! The only thing I would change is that the light blocking curtains only closed half way, and it is a very bright area, with lots of lights at night from surrounding businesses, and one particular spotlight shining directly into my room. I ended up running to target and getting a sleeping mask, and slept beautifully after that.

There was a nice big bathroom and roomy shower. The lighted mirrors were so unique. I would definetly stay there again.

The lobby is nice, but the breakfast is lacking variety and quality.

Only issue I had was the guy at check in, gave my room to another person, with kind of the same last name. They don't check ids here, "or at least this kid didn't that could of been the issue. they gave me the wrong room, which could have been the other persons room, they did fix it, but was an inconvient caring bags around the hotel with young kids. other than that place was clean, and the room was big enough for a family of 5.

We had a wonderful stay. They are doing some updates around the hotel, but it didn't interfere with our stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable in both of our rooms and the breakfast was satisfactory to our needs and liking. Staff was very friendly and when we found we didn't have an iron, the front desk was quick to bring one up to us. We will be staying here again for sure!

Hotel was as advertised on Orbitz. Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet was spotty in the room, and staff did their best to make sure it worked. Hotel is located close to shopping, restaurants, and attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

I had seen the review and saw just the dining area was under renovation, so I called Orbitz to confirm the situation, placed me on hold & they supposedly got in touch with the hotel (which I then realized it was a lie) was told it was just the dining and they have a temporary location for breakfast. When I arrived, the outside looks nice, seems it was recenlty renovated, but when we entered the doors to enter, it entirely being renovated. Strong construction smell. Attendant welcomed us, very friendly and asked us if we knew about them not having breakfast! I was like umm I spoke to orbitz and I was told there was, he looked pretty confused, meaning orbitz never got a hold of them. He mentioned the entirely hotel was under renovation. Attendant mentioned the 1st and 2nd floor were closed, only floor available was the 3rd. Elevator wasn't working, had to use the stairs. Even though 3rd floor was still being use for customers, the walls were being worked on. I think thuis hotel should not be in service at all. People with asthma or other health issues shouldn't stay here, not healthy, not until hotel is completely done. Pretty sure it will look great great once done! Staff was pretty nice though. But once you book with Orbitz, there was no refund! Plus hotels nearby were are sold out-which wan't helpful at all when you are traveling hours away from home. No discount offered by orbitz either!

Once refurbished, this hotel will be a decent buy. As of February 11, 2017, it looks like a war zone!! Fine employees, but neither pool nor breakfast is available to guests. Call before making reservations or be disappointed!!

I booked through this site. This was a mistake long story short I mistakenly put in the wrong date and the booking site wanted $$$ change the date. It was an $$ room. The booking I made was 13 hours before check-in and I figured I'd just take the loss of the $$ and book the room myself and not hand this booking site more money. It was very early morning so I couldn't get hold of the hotel. At 9AM when I finally got hold of the hotel they changed my date with no problem and no price increase. They had a problem with this booking site. It took me calling them back and the receptionist spending time on the phone with them on a busy Friday night. All she needed was them to change the date so she could run my card. Everyone on the staff at the hotel, all weekend long were wonderful. Very polite and helpful. The original receptionist upgraded my room for all the hassle. Another spent time with us telling us about the area attractions and printed us directions. Even the cleaning staff was very nice. Asking if we enjoyed the hotel and the area. Smiling the whole time. I very highly recommend this hotel. Although they are remodeling and have a little mess. But a mess is to be expected when remodeling. Everything was wonderful except the booking site. I'm not allowed to say their name, if I do they reject my review.
