Swissotel - Chicago

There are so many things to mention here. The pool had a hair floating in it which made it undesirable. The room had broken lamps and door locks. The ice machines were broken. Buying drinks and snacks was very difficult. The desk staff and general staff were not competent. I cannot recommend this hotel for anyone.

Great location, hotel building is very nice. Only problem is, towel has black dot on it for some reason.

Very friendly professional and courteous Helpful willing to go the extra mile Rooms cleaned in a timely manner

I thought my room would be bigger with a city view. Wasn’t please. Then I got moved to a different room and the heater wasn’t working was the worst experience ever had to move my stuff at midnight to a different room was so disappointed just want to enjoy my days off.

Beds too soft and pillows too thick. Poor nights sleep ...

The location was perfect. I was able to celebrate my husband’s birthday and he was totally surprised. The staff were friendly, great place to stay in the heart of Chicago. I paid for the upgrade for the view ... wow

Early check in was available. Extremely polite staff from start to finish of our stay. Will be the first place considered on our return to Chicago.

staff was helpful and pleasant. Hotel was short walk to Cloud Gate

Getting to the hotel is the only issue..do not rely on navigation and call the concierge for directions. This will save you lots of time..especially if you’re not familiar with the area.

enjoyed our stay great place to say due to the hotel staff the room was very nice and the locatiuon was great

Close to tours, restaurants with great views of the water!

We had stayed here before, and this time was excellent too! Very accessible to Magnificent Mile, Millennium Park, Art Institute, Navy Pier, Orchestra Hall, Chicago River, the theater district, etc etc. Great gym on the top floor. Our room had a spectacular view of Lake Michigan.

Called hotel day before to request the 2 rooms I booked to be together (my sister needs some assistance) was told they couldn't access the orbitz booking; also "rooms are assigned at checkin". So at checkin I am given 2 rooms on different floors!! I objected and was told "all the rooms are preassigned". That's a terrible way to treat your guests!!! I persisted and got 2 rooms next to each other but it should have been easier . Also didn't appreciate being lied to. The hotel is very comfortable but their reservations/front desk area needs to be more customer friendly.

Friendly staff, very clean hotel, nice view of the Lake. Access to the pedway from the hotel. Free in room wifi.

I enjoyed my stay here. The staff was one of the best I experienced in a while. Every single person I saw acknowledged me. I will absolutely stay here again.

We had a very quiet, clean room-- everything we needed in a great location for a decent price.

No complimentary coffee in the morning in lobby? Huh? Bottled water in room was $8???? One bed was really uncomfortable mushy mattress. Great location but weird elevators. Nice pool great views!

The hotel and staff were very nice. Nice room, but bathroom ceiling needed a little work on paint chipping.
