The rooms were very nice and comfortable. There was picketing outside the hotel people beating on a drum continually which could even be heard on the 24 floor along with a person on a megaphone blasting, very annoying. I did not have housekeeping on Saturday morning so I stopped at the front desk on my way out Saturday evening and asked for someone to replenish the coffee in the room, they said this would be done promptly, come Sunday morning there was still no coffee

The Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff person I spoke with was very annoying with respect to letting me check out in a timely manner. I also had the same hassle when I called to left themvknow I would be checking in later in the evening. The other surprise that really made me irritated is it cost $10 more for a prepaid reservation. Be up front about room costs. It is an expensive hotel and tacking on additional fees without telling the customer up front is WRONG. Very deceptive and unlawful practice! The noisy striking workers out front were a nuisance.

The protesters were a nuisance. Loud banging on a drum at 0700.

Cambria Hotel has not agreed to a contract with their union employees in Housekeeping. From information provided by the hotel itself, Cambria seems to be the only hotel in the Loop to not reach an agreement and is being picketed, day and night, by very noisy protesters who seem to have lots of community support. Even on the 27th floor, the noise could be heard at 7:30 am. The rooms and hallways are consequently not clean and the staff at check in were very uncomfortable about their job and this conflict. Orbitz deserves serious blame and criticism for posting this hotel as a great deal without adding that they have lowered their prices because they are nowhere near full capacity. I spoke with customers in the lobby and in elevators who were angry to have prepaid to Orbitz for a multi-night stay and therefore could not easily check out of Cambria and find another hotel that was willing to pay its housekeepers. This strike has been going on for a while and Orbitz’s behavior in this is negligent and delinquent. Orbitz should post this information and let consumers decide whether they want to save money by patronizing an anti-union (Housekeeping only) hotel or not, rather than hiding this information and trapping their customers.

Great staff, great modern and eclectic style. Perfect location just off Michigan Avenue. Good food!

Great location and service. Right at the heart of magnificent mile. Hotel staff was excellent.

Maids woke us up every morning cackling in the hallways and the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything. There was a union strike going on in front of the hotel with beating drums and hotel workers on strike for fair pay. Location was amazing and the bar tender at the lobby bar was the best!

It is a nice hotel but the protesters in front banging their drum in the morning was annoying.

Excellent with the exception of the noise from the picketers out front.

The hotel rooms were nice - spacious and clean. I was comfortable throughout my short trip.

The Cambria was a great hotel. It was centrally located to basically anywhere we wanted or needed to go. The room was large (we had a king suite) and clean. Housekeeping was great, they came every day promptly and cleaned well. The hotel staff was very nice. The only disappointing thing was that the rooftop bar was not open (it was restricted for special events only). We would have liked to have been able to go upstairs and look at the view after dinner. I'd recommend the Cambria hotel and would definitely stay there again if I returned to Chicago.

Horrible service and staff. Elevators are old and slow. Wouldn’t ever recommend or stay again.

This hotel was great. The location was perfect, very close to Michigan Avenue. The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. The staff was great at assisting with recommendations and helping with directions. There were several very good restaurants in walking distance. It was perfect for a weekend stay in Chicago! Would definitely use this hotel when I go back.

Its a very quaint boutique style hotel. The location is perfect. Its a 1 minute walk to the Magnificent Mile, but being on a side street, you dont have any of the congestion. There are also a lot of restaurants and little shops within a 2 minute walking distance if you need to run out and grab something. Right when you walk in, they have a fantastic little sitting area with a full coffee bar.The staff is top notch. Very friendly. The rooms have character. Now with that being said... The shower is clearly just for decoration. If you attempt to turn on the hot water, the pipes rattle as if you are in a 3 Stooges episode. Which was weird because with the noise, there is no water pressure.

Everyone was so welcoming and helpful throughout the entire stay. The location was also great.

Wish they would open roof top bar back up. Other than that great hotel great staff great location
