I stayed there one night on business and had my debit card stolen or I lost it. However, when I was departing the next day I only had a credit card that could not despense money for a taxi and could not get a paid out nor a credit to the hotel to get a ride to the airport; due to being a business credit card . The credit card has no limit, the safe travel card I always leave in the safe deposit box. I had to beg and was embarrassed inform of everyone. I finally had a guest at the resort lend me money to get to the airport. Which was much appreciated and is being paid back. With compensation, but, will never stay there again due to rude staff and lack of consideration. The worst part it was a manager that didn’t give any options and told me sorry find your own way.

The first morning we spent at the hotel some one of the staff was knocking on my door at 8am just to know if there was someone. They made me change rooms and leave a deposit of 1500 mexican pesos

Everything was perfect except deposit 350$.We didn’t know about this charge so we wasn’t ready

This hotel did not meet our expectations. We first encountered a leaking tub. While hotel staff did change our rooms, we still continued to experience problems with cockroaches and ants in the new room. We took pictures and videos to show to hotel staff that this was unacceptable. Unfortunately, after much explanation and evidence of poor quality cleaning/maintenance, hotel staff didn't do anything to earn our satisfaction. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. If you want pictures or videos, please contact us.

Needed a place to stay for the night and found this one but since it was after midnight, I couldn't book it online. Went to the front desk to get the room we saw online and were told they don't book rooms directly. Had to change the time zone on my phone to before midnight to book the room and it ended being $100 more for the night. Got to the room and it wasn't even ready. Would never book here again.

This was our first visit to Mexico. Because we heard horror stories about the water, the safety e.t.c. We were so pleasantly surprised however. I wish we had time to stay longer. The hotel is not only beautiful, everything about it is considered to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Every suite has a view towards the beach and a balcony or patio. There are little details that make you feel almost like home: vanity chair and magnifying mirror, mini kitchen, walk-in closet, not to mention the beautiful paintings in every room. We didn't need all inclusive because we were taking day trips almost daily, but we had breakfast buffet which was the finest breakfast you can imagine!!!! There were grocery store, gift shops, travel agency, fine restaurants, and lots of activities to choose from. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. The best of all: nights were so quiet, you could only hear the ocean. I would recommend it to everyone and would go back again and again.

Great hotel, will stay again a 3rd time! Had a beautiful view over the pool and ocean from my 7th floor balcony!

we've been in the all-suites next door and it's about the same, more restaurant options and services.

Very nice i liked the ocean vew. I liked the tacos etc

Great location, facility, staff and hospitality. View of the hotel is unbelievable. Didn't want to go back home. Be back for sure!!

It is a very nice place to stay. Very family friendly. Great location.

Like the location, nice beach, nice view from the room.

Great time great people great place to have vacation

They expect a tip for everything their prices were kind a high and the beds were hard as rocks hotel staff was extremely nice hotel was clean beach was beautiful hotel was very nice well-kept

The entrance to the resort is somewhat hidden from the street view, but still easily accessible. Check in was a breeze, we were provided with maps to the resort, given access to the facilities of all the other sister resorts, and asked to leave a $150 open credit (refunded upon check out). The resort sits on a very nice area of the beach, with great views of the ocean and the Mayan Museum behind the property. The resort tailors to an older crowd, but as a family of 4, including two teenage girls, we very much enjoyed the tranquility and serenity of the place. Rooms have a full equipped kitchen, extra pillows, blankets and WiFi access. The beds were all comfortable, including the two sofa beds located in the living room! The onsite breakfast buffet is worth your while, don't miss the green juice and waffles. Important to mention is the AMAZING service provided by the onsite car rental service. The company is "Alamo," provides great prices, full coverage, allows to pay with multiple credit/debit cards and even cash. After a bad experience with another car rental company at the airport, we decided to go instead with the onsite Alamo company at the resort. Best decision we made that day! Also, public transportation is available a short 5 minute walk away from the resort's entrance ($11 pesos each way per person, 20 minutes with traffic.) Overall, great service, location, rooms and onsite Alamo car rental.

Arrived to the Royal Islander early due to a flight change they quickly assisted us with getting our room ready for us. Due to check ins being from Friday to Friday we were in our first room which was decent, our surprise came in the next morning when we were upgraded to the 5th floor with such an incredible view! The grounds are decent, a tad bit outdated but for the price you can't beat it. as for the staff, if I could give them 6 stars I would. They did such an excellent job, treated us like we were family!

Great experience no complains . Hotel is amazing loved everything about my trip

Very nice but crazy Saturday switch room is required. This is a timeshare ownership which requires hotel quests to pack up and move rooms. Horrible service. Demanded I stay in room for hours while they clean other room to move to. With so many other hotels, would never stay here again.

Hotel muy agradable y comodo. Habitaciones muy espaciosas y limpias.

We had a great time beach and the weather was great but the water weves we little to much for us to use the beach.
