we've been in the all-suites next door and it's about the same, more restaurant options and services.

Very nice i liked the ocean vew. I liked the tacos etc

Great location, facility, staff and hospitality. View of the hotel is unbelievable. Didn't want to go back home. Be back for sure!!

It is a very nice place to stay. Very family friendly. Great location.

Like the location, nice beach, nice view from the room.

Great time great people great place to have vacation

They expect a tip for everything their prices were kind a high and the beds were hard as rocks hotel staff was extremely nice hotel was clean beach was beautiful hotel was very nice well-kept

The entrance to the resort is somewhat hidden from the street view, but still easily accessible. Check in was a breeze, we were provided with maps to the resort, given access to the facilities of all the other sister resorts, and asked to leave a $150 open credit (refunded upon check out). The resort sits on a very nice area of the beach, with great views of the ocean and the Mayan Museum behind the property. The resort tailors to an older crowd, but as a family of 4, including two teenage girls, we very much enjoyed the tranquility and serenity of the place. Rooms have a full equipped kitchen, extra pillows, blankets and WiFi access. The beds were all comfortable, including the two sofa beds located in the living room! The onsite breakfast buffet is worth your while, don't miss the green juice and waffles. Important to mention is the AMAZING service provided by the onsite car rental service. The company is "Alamo," provides great prices, full coverage, allows to pay with multiple credit/debit cards and even cash. After a bad experience with another car rental company at the airport, we decided to go instead with the onsite Alamo company at the resort. Best decision we made that day! Also, public transportation is available a short 5 minute walk away from the resort's entrance ($11 pesos each way per person, 20 minutes with traffic.) Overall, great service, location, rooms and onsite Alamo car rental.

Arrived to the Royal Islander early due to a flight change they quickly assisted us with getting our room ready for us. Due to check ins being from Friday to Friday we were in our first room which was decent, our surprise came in the next morning when we were upgraded to the 5th floor with such an incredible view! The grounds are decent, a tad bit outdated but for the price you can't beat it. as for the staff, if I could give them 6 stars I would. They did such an excellent job, treated us like we were family!

Great experience no complains . Hotel is amazing loved everything about my trip

Very nice but crazy Saturday switch room is required. This is a timeshare ownership which requires hotel quests to pack up and move rooms. Horrible service. Demanded I stay in room for hours while they clean other room to move to. With so many other hotels, would never stay here again.

Hotel muy agradable y comodo. Habitaciones muy espaciosas y limpias.

We had a great time beach and the weather was great but the water weves we little to much for us to use the beach.

Rented a villa (2 bedrooms) for 6 people Only given 4 towels Not a nice as you would imagine for the price Cleaning lady was rude about what goes in the thrash can. Limited selection of places to eat at the hotel, and food is not that great, besides breakfast. Breakfast buffet was great. Alcohol and drinks are bottom shelf - this was not an all-inclusive hotel- so expected better quality. Good sized pools.

VERY clean room, awesome food, spectacular views and amazing staff. This is a fabulous place to stay with friends or family or both!

Nos gustó mucho no tuvimos ningún complain me gustaría regresar porque nos faltó mucho que conocer la próxima ves pienso ir con mi familia.

This place was everything and more. Everyone was super helpful. The location was prefect. We took the bus our to and from places our whole time there. I rate this hotel and my stay a 4.75. The only reason why i wont give it a full 5 star is because when we changed our room on saturday the room we were swicthed to was not cleaned. They do not get the room ready for the swicth witcj creeped me out a bit. We had to get ready to go out and ride ATV bjt coudnt because the bathroom wasnt cleaned wich blew. But other than that Amzing hotel.

Great first stay. Will go back... everything was great.

Staff was fantastic. Food and drink prices very fair.

We have stayed at the Islander for well over 20 years and had the opportunity to add one night there to our Cancun stay this year. Much of the restaurant staff at the Cayo Largo has been there for that long so it is like family. The weather was beautiful and our brief stay there was transitioned beautifully, as well as the departure and trip to the airport.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time to post about our resort. Rainy season months are among the most humid during the year. We are sorry to learn that humidity affected your experience negatively. The "dry" season in Cancun is from October to March. Probably this months will be more suitable for your next vacation in Cancun. We look forward to welcoming you again. Warm Regards.
