Hotel very disorganized and tried charging for a romantic dinner we didn’t even go to cause they didn’t have record of our reservation that we made on day one. And we’re confrontational and tried to charge us without our permission.

this hotel needs to be upgraded, the dinner restaurants were great, hallways and rooms weren't clean to me to receive a 5star rating, we couldn't sleep the night before we left because they were literally working on the room above ours til 2:30am!! i will never ever stay here again

Not much to walk to from the hotel. Also, it felt a bit unsafe. However, the hotel was nice. It needed more night life since there wasn't much to do around the hotel. It got too quite at night fall, but you were stuck there since there wasn't anything in walking distance. Even if it was something within walking distance, the area felt a little unsafe. Not the hotels fault.

The lack of air conditioning in all the restaurants is sub standard. It was too difficult to enjoy a meal when you're perspiring. I also found the butlers had too many guests. When it takes six hours to get soda water and your complementary bottle of spirit, that's a bit too long. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. They were on point!

Very beautiful and relaxing. Staff and service were excellent. Food was very good! Our only complaint was the temperature inside the resort. Not cool enough. Even ceiling fans would have helped.

This was our first trip to Cancun and to an all-inclusive resort. Over all a great experience and would visit Cancun and Secrets again. My only complaint was there were areas of the hotel the air conditioning was not working very well. In particular the main lobby and and the Market restaurant were hot. But again, great vacation.

Excellent risore. Very clean and the excellent staff are all very friendly, they really make you feel at home

Absolutely stunning property, probably once of a nicest hotels I’ve stayed at. The amenities are pretty great. Downsides: You can hear EVERYTHING from your room. From people walking by your door and your next-door neighbor if you have a connecting door. Definitely not noise proof. The food options are the same everyday, so it gets tiring after a while and the food wasn’t very fresh.

The resort is beautiful and the staff is amazing. The pool area was incredible and we loved having access to the beach. The room was beautiful as well with gorgeous views of the Caribbean and the lagoon. Me personally, I did not like the scent of the cleaning/air freshener they use in the main lobby areas. The food was also hit or miss. Their breakfast and lunch buffet was amazing and all of their Mexican cuisine was some of the best I’d ever had. The drinks were fantastic as well. The other restaurants we were not so impressed with. We also felt the resort lacked nightlife. They had a couple mediocre dance performances and live singers, but I personally felt the entertainment they had was not appropriate to the atmosphere. We would have enjoyed more professional entertainment and more night life events. Last thing, please be warned, if you agree to let them show you their preferred membership club, they will stop at nothing to close a deal with you. Don’t get me wrong, it’s actually not a bad program, however we have other commitments with limited vacation time and did not feel we would use it in a way that would be beneficial to us. After more than 2 hours and 4 different sales people, my boyfriend finally had to get rude and tell them we’re done and we’re not listening to anymore packages before they finally let us get back to our vacation. So just be aware of that before you agree to see it. Overall, we had a great time and would consider coming back in the future.

Horrible experience and very disappointed that a “luxury hotel” like Secrets does not provide a high standard quality in their meals, on my first day at the hotel I was given rotten food and ended up with food poisoning, my so dreamed vacations were a total disaster because of this and the best part is that management people at the hotel do not want to take responsibility so I am afraid I will have to get legal assistance for this matter. I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all.

Great hotel with good service and great food. Only drawback was the horrible neighboring hotels that were very noisy.

Immediately after check in you are given to a person who tries to sell you upgrades and takes up about 30 min of your time even before you get to go to your room! We are tippers and found the more you tip the worse the service was around the pool and beach. After not getting the waitstaff to help us we went up to the pool bar and they said we had to go thru a waiter to get drinks. Going to a place like this you expect great service and this is extremely lacking in the pool and beach areas! Will not go back to this Secrets.

The property was great, staff was nice and helpful. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with food at all.
