Excellent stay staff went out of its way to take care of you food overall good not excellent pool great bar indoor served a better drink

Great resort, nice people, clean, good food, beautiful beach. We've stayed at Secrets Capri in Playa. Compared to that one, The Vine is larger, newer and has a bigger beach. But, Capri's staff is phenomenal and The Vine OK. The Vine's staff is good but you don't get the same enthusiasm and attention as at Capri. I suspect this is because there are more guests at the Vine and they can't cater as easily. The Vine is clean and our room was beautiful. Room service and turn down were as expected. Our AC would not shut off when we arrived and they fixed it quickly but I was cold the whole time. Not a big deal, just left the slider open a lot. Our toilet clogged and they fixed right away. We put $ and passports in the safe and it wouldn't open! Turns out the battery died-took 3 guys about 30 minutes, but they got it open :) The controls for the lights are loopy. Never did figure it out completely. Food is good at all the restaurants, did not try the steakhouse. Dragons and the Italian place are the best IMO. Drinks could be a little different from day to day. I ended up drinking wine or beer just to have the consistency in taste. Pools are great. Entertainment in the evening can be cheesy but it's all fun if you let yourself relax and enjoy it.

Second time at Secrets. First time with friends, second time with family. Everybody enjoyed, love it.

Enjoyed a week stay at Secrets. The hotel was nicer than we expected. The rooms are extraordinary. We upgraded to the VIP service. The rooms on these floors are luxurious. However, the butlers did nothing for us. At other resorts the butler’s pack and unpack for you, make reservations, reserve seats at the pool or beach etc. At secrets the butler was not accommodating at all. We had trouble even getting ice from them. Overall a nice stay.

Hotel was any good that I respect! Couple dish’s in all hotel was good from all the restaurant.... one time I did ordem dinner on the room and was fantastic next day I order break fast and lunch and we have to go out of the hotel to eat because was not good so I have one night of good food in all the 7 days of my stay there.

an all inclusive hotel with modern art deco decor .. great location and staff, with many amenities.

I had an overall wonderful experience. Good food and fun

Stayed for 8 days with me adult kids. This seems to be a primary couples get away. Lots of romance. Several good restaurants. Upsell of wine can get old. Bars and drinks were great. Staff was very helpful. Food in all restaurants was good. Concierge service was helpful for finding excursions.

The food at this resort was seriously gross. The sushi tasted like a gas station stand, the restaurant dishes were saltless and there was cheese on everything. Good drinks, nice pools, excellent staff.

Wonderful hotel with caring and friendly staff that will go out of there way to ensure you have a great vacation. If you are looking for a relaxing all inclusive experience in Cancun this is the place to stay.

All what u need for a beach vacation is this beach front all inclusive and luxurious hotel. Loved the food. There are 6 restaurants and 7 bars in the hotel, 3 swimming pools and a jaccuzzi. One of the restaurants is just for the preferred area (i guess for rooms in floors 21 and above). There is an italian, asian, steakhouse, mexican, and a grill restaurant. Very safe, they ask u for ur rolm number and family name everytime u enter and exit the hotel (even to the beach). The restaurants are either buffet or a la carte. Every afternoom they arrange to put a paper on ur bed that includes information abt the next day: weather, which restaurants r open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the time of the entertainment and where in the hotel. The spa is expensive and therefore i did not use it. It was 180-220 usd. Very clean and the staff is very welcoming. Raoul, a waiter at the steak house, was my favorite.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Secrets The Vine. Great service, great staff, a great facility with a great location.

Hotel staff needed to be reminded of everything. They are very polite, but are not adequately trained to anticipate and meet guest needs.

It was our friends 40th birthday and she wanted to do something fun. Not that I can speak for all of them, but they all felt the same; loved the place. This is coming from 5 guys and 7 women from all different backgrounds; white, black, asian, latin, gay and straight! Lots of couples though so it's not really a singles place. Since I'm on dialysis (kidneys) I had to have my solution shipped to the hotel a head of time. They were so good about this. This was huge plus for me. I was really impressed with how tight the security is. Before we even got into the property, we had to be on a list that was checked off as we got in. I felt really secure there. I would go again in a heartbeat!

Service was impeccable. Excellent night shows performance every night. We stayed at even numbers room which facing Sando. You can hear loud humming sounds from the AC when the balcony was open. It was not "deluxe ocean view" at all. Blue water grill & Italian food were our favorite dinning options. Food was okay but nothing really special. Champagne tasting was great.

Eveyrhtjng here is nice clean and new. Only bad thing is slow food service. Other than that. It's best bang for the buck. Better than live aqua. I guess since its new.

Was going to leave a good review, the service was amazing and the food tasted good, also a very nice modern design. The spa at this location is out of this world, if you are staying at this location the spa is a must, about 2 says before my departure we had lunch by the pool next to barefoot grill, I bit a few pieces of the burger and realized it was really red on the inside, looks like it was on the grill for only a minute or so, so I threw it out but it was too late, I got food poisoning from it and could not eat for the rest of my stay there, Also intense diarrhea, sorry to get graphic but thats just not the way I imagined spending my honeymoon. upon checkout I mentioned it to the concierge and he just shrugged it off, it seems like they don't do anything about food poisoning at this location unless it is a large group that gets sick. Another review on this a similar site shows where a reviewer got sick from the exact same meal, a burger by the pool, and it looks like nothing was done, I guess they are waiting for more people to get sick from the burgers by the pool? anyways I don't think I will be going back, thank you secrets of the vine for ruining my honeymoon

This was our first time at Secret and it definitely lived up to the ratings! From our first moments in the hotel (greeted with champagne) to the festivities celebrating Mexican Independence Day, we truly enjoyed our time at the resort. The spa was relaxing and clean, and our masseuses Christina and Cinthia was wonderful. The only complaint we had was with the food. Nebbiolo (italian) was delicious (our waiters Sylvestre and Brian was fantastic!), as was the Sea Salt Grill. And I highly recommend the Market Cafe for breakfast if you're looking for authentic Mexican food. However, the Blue Water Grill was very disappointing. The sides were incredibly small or not good, and my boyfriend's steak was all grizzle. We didn't bother trying Olio or Dragons because other guests told us the food was terrible. Hopefully this is something they can work on for the future. The beachfront was gorgeous and the staff (Jorge and Alejandro) were extremely attentive and friendly. We never had an issue getting drinks, and they helped us set up chairs and umbrellas all day. Definitely made our time much more enjoyable! We look forward to coming back again in the future!

Simply put, this resort was AMAZING!! Food, Staff, Entertainment AMAZING!!!!

The last couple of years we have stayed at Aqua and Beloved and decided to try Secrets The Vine based on many great reviews. This hotel will not disappoint! The building is very modern and spotless with large rooms and many architectural details throughout. The staff is fast to respond whenever we needed something. The restaurants are all very nice with Nebbiolo our favorite restaurant (Italian) followed by Dragon (Asian) and Blue Water Grill (Steak). Sea Salt at the beach is casual and serves great Ceviche. Nightly entertainment was good at the lobby bar (singers, bands, etc.). There were 6-7 bars serving drinks. The only complaint I had was that it would have been nice to see a tropical drink menu with some creative options. The mixed drinks I requested were not particularly tasty at the Manatee Bar. After trying 3-4 I switched to more simple drinks like Sea Breeze, Mimosa and beer which are hard to mess up. Again, it would have been nice to try some nice tropical drinks like we had at Beloved. Overall a great experience and I recommend to everyone looking for a luxurious all inclusive, adults only vacation in Cancun!
