This is a very old motel that was poorly upgraded.
The room was clean and conveniently located to nearby beaches. Traveled with my spouse and 2 young children, so had a 2 Queens room. Adequate space for everyone and the kids were happy with the cable selection as they quieted down for bed.

Very clean room. I had made a mistake booking the room, and the owner did not charge me for the night I did not check-in. He had every right to charge me, but was kind enough not to. Thank you very much!
Very quite. Was here for one night and it was clean well maintained. No amenities but it’s ok for a night or if you want to spend your time enjoying the area.
Owner is very nice, safe convenient location, walking distance to a park on the bay that has a playground for children.

The spacious room was in excellent condition. Everything was up to date, including the heating/air conditioning unit. The only negative was that in our two queen bedded room the A/C unit blew directly onto the bed closer to the unit. I would absolutely stay here again but choose a different bed setup.
This was our first trip to Apalachicola which has limited motel/hotel rooms. The Rio Rancho Inn is a vintage roadside motel (circa 1970s), but it is well taken care of by the staff. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The management was very responsive to our needs, and we would use this motel again.
