Love the tropical ambience and the quiet, cozy air to the place. The parking was a fight with the public beach access right there but I love that you can hop on the beach with your car and cruise down to the boardwalk. We came at the end of the truck rally so all the big trucks were coming off the beach in droves right there. Definitely want to watch your kids in that area. The pool was awesome as always! Laundry on site ...but no food. Pop machine was empty all week and even though the website stated meals included, this hotel doesn't have a kitchen. My key cards had to be activated every day. That was annoying.

I'm not very picky to begin with, but the Dream in was perfect. Our room was beautiful and very cozy! The details of the room were stylish and comforting. I really enjoyed the view of the hotel, right on the beach. We got up early enough to catch the sunrise which was amazing from the balcony of the hotel. Everything about the hotel was perfect. April was a great time to visit as well!

a walk from the room to the beach breath taking pool to relax by

it was a nice and clean hotel, had fun it was close to the beach as well

We stay for one night in the Ocean view jacuzzi suite, the room was super clean, the view was fantastic! The bed was new and the room smells like renovated. Also they have a mini fridge, mini coffee maker and a mini microwave. I highly recommend for a couple retreat!

I felt as though the photo that was displayed on the internet are misleading. The room itself was cleaned but the sheets had not been changed. I would not have stayed it to tired from traveling to look for another room, I expressed my disatisfaction prior to check in but was informed I would have to speak to the manager the next morning for refund.

I would say the only thing good about this hotel was the location. And even that was questionable the beach waves were so high we couldn't swim and the beach was filled with Jelly Fish. The room was tiny with no carpet. Hotel workers were not friendly. The pool had a chair throughn in it so we didn't feel comfortable swiming in there either. I will not stay there again.

The Dream Inn has a nice location right on the beach in Daytona Shores. It is one of the older motels that the owners have clearly worked hard to maintain and upgrade. My wife and I had reserved 2 nights but only stayed 1 because the mold/mildew odor was so strong that being in the room was very unpleasant. Our room was a "courtyard" room, so this may only apply to those rooms. Our room had a wood plank ceiling that is probably original. The wood looked nice, but is likely the source of the mold and mildew. There were a few other issues with the room; the floor was terrazzo (polished concrete) which is a great cost saving measure over time but is not what I want in a hotel room, the bathroom only had a shower which was a disappointment to my wife who loves to soak in a tub, the bathroom itself was tiny with a pedestal sink and nowhere to place toiletry items, the door was the glass panel type with blinds built into the glass only the blinds were not light blocking and the room remained very bright at night, and the kitchen area lights were not functioning leaving it very dark since it is separated from the rest of the room by a wall. Overall the room is quite small. For a few dollars more we found a newer ocean front high rise down the street for our second night. Making the move salvaged the weekend. The new room was over twice the size, carpeted, large bathroom, and ocean front. The new room was definitely worth the extra cost.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was a little outdated but overall it was a pleasant stay. We could hear the ocean from our room. It's a family owned hotel, it was a great value for a beachfront hotel.

Great location, charming atmosphere and very clean. We look forward to returning soon.

This is an older, 2 story motel, with some updates, as advertised. The staff was friendly, we had a courtyard room which looked out on a lovely garden with tables and chairs to relax on. The pool and another garden area looked right onto the beach which was a quick walk across the sand. If you don't enjoy high rises and crowds, this motel fits the bill! We would certainaly return.

Better than expected. Clean and cozy room, nice pool and loved the court yard. Only suggestion is to add an ice machine. Look forward to returning soon.

Hotel is very convenient and right on the beach. We did not use the pool but it looked inviting. Room had just been upgraded....now included a king bed. Had small microwave and refrigerator which is extremely nice to have while in Florida. Were only there two nights but would stay again for a short stay.

An alternative to the multi level high rise hotels along Daytona Beach the Dream Inn was small and cozy. The pool was heated and very nice. I would suggest an ocean front room(duh), but either way you are footsteps from the ocean. The room we had was a bit outdated but clean. Only complaint I had was a light outside our door shone in our faces in bed and the blinds did not block it. I would stay again but only in an ocean front room.

Although the staff was very nice, the room we were in left a lot to be desired. I assumed the picture I saw when booking the room would be somewhat similar to what we would receive. Instead the room was very small with no bathtub and with other flaws. The outside actually looked better.

Super satisfied. It was just a one night stop for us, but could see myself coming back for a cheap and cheerful family vacation!

What a hidden gem! Dream Inn is "old school" Daytona - before all the high-rises and chain hotels - it has lovely grounds, a wonderful pool area and fabulous beach access - all in a great location. The hotel is south of most of the main attractions in Daytona, so if you are looking for lots of entertainment within walking distance, you should probably look for something closer to the center of Daytona. If you are looking for less crowds, premium beach access and charm, then Dream Inn should be a great fit. The hotel is convenient to several good restaurants and is within close driving distance of most anything you would need. The rooms aren't particularly large or fancy, but they are nicely decorated and very clean. Besides, who wants to sit in your room when the beach is just outside your door?! The staff was very accommodating. Dream Inn is perfect for a long weekend getaway. 1p check-in is a great plus!

We had the oceanfront, king, room with jacuzzi. Not fancy, but nice. It was a good time, but Loud renovations expected to last at least til February 2013 next door! Pool was blocked off from the view of the ocean. I personally wouldn't stay here until after the construction is done next door.

Minor little complaints, but it is just a two star hotel.

Very nice staff and beautiful beach! The hotel is a bit out dated but still a nice, quiet place

Thank you for your review I am glad you enjoyed your stay most of the time the beach ramp is a non issue but when they are having a parade on the beach it is. I am sorry about the coke machine and your key. The keys go blank when put it next to a magnet. The option on the Expedia websites does not let me specify welcome drink I am sorry for the confusion. Thank you Jody
