Breakfast was good but could be a little better. Rooms were in need of alot of work. This was the worst that El Caribe has been since I've been coming over the last 20 + yrs. New owners need to step up and bring life back into a place that used to be nice.

Great view 6th floor suite but roaches in room

Decided to stay a night in Daytona Beach and I found this place rooms look pretty cool in the picture so I gave it a shot. I got 6th floor suite on Monday night and the rate was decent great views of the ocean but one major problem my wife and I went to bed and 20 minutes later she screamed and she said something big just crawled across her face, so I hurried and turned on the light and sure enough there was two big cockroaches one on the floor one on the bed I was able to kill one of them, but the other got away, so I did a whole sweep of the hotel room and I found 3 small bugs what looked like to be a tick.. so I took a picture of them and chat. GPT said they were baby cockroaches. I called the desk around midnight to let them know. There was a roach infestation and no one answered. My wife was terrified from the bugs. She didn’t sleep all night and kept me up all night. I informed the front desk about it when I left in the morning and I was informed management would call me and they never did. I will never stay at this property again. I did see other reviews saying there’s cockroaches found.

The Ormond Beach suite 1610 was so spacious. Very clean and very comfortable. The views of the beach and sunrise from the room were beautiful. We had a great stay and definitely will rent that room again.

We have stayed here many of time and have enjoyed each and every stay. The staff have always acted as they were pleased to have us there. We celebrated my fiancé's 50th Birthday 2 yr ago with aprox 20 people. The adjoining rooms were great and all in all, all the rooms are very spacious. The beach front rooms have beautiful views and are well kept up with up to date décor. And to top that particular stay off, the staff was very accommodating for the entire stay. Even the convenience is worth mentioning. Across the street is a shopping center with a grocery store and even a liquor store. I highly recommend staying here.

The a/c leaked and our carpet was wet for all of our 5 nights stay. They brought a fan in to dry the carpet and it did not do the job and when we left this morning the ceiling was turning black in places do to mold or mildew.

My family of five booked a seven day stay here in one of the most expensive rooms. Upon arrival, there was no AC in our room took several hours to get us transferred into a room the size of a hospital room when we booked a ginormous room. Was promised our AC would be fixed by the second day and we would be transferred back to our room that did not happen if we were stuck in the smaller room for a second day there is a older lady as a manager there that promised us a refund for the first day And half of the second day now she is refusing to apply it.

Parents obviously don't know how to control their kids running around and be considerate of other hotel guests that are trying to sleep at midnight and them moving chairs and furniture around without thinking it's too loud for the people beneath yall. Not to mention people talking loud in the hallways at an inconvenient hour of the night when I'm trying to get my own kids to sleep. Request to stay in an area where they didn't place other guests with kids if you want quiet at a decent hour such as 10pm and after at night when its BEDTIME. next time I'll make a complaint at the front desk if you parents can't keep your disrespectful kids quiet after 10pm (this happened every night we were there). Be respectful of other guests, you're not the only ones there. Common sense. Otherwise it was ok staying here. Continental breakfast was nothing to brag about id rather go to ihop across the street for more bang for the buck than little items just to get griped at by the house keeper me trying to feed my family of 5 by bringing breakfast to the room for them using a tray instead of a bag when that little tray cant hold all that i need to make sure my babies tummies are good and full. (No leftovers) not to mention having to carry open cups of juice for 5 people that little bag of mine comes in handy so i can carry everything at once.

Reviewing again in hopes something will change. My family and I once again stayed here, bc simply, I love the location and the size of the rooms. Front desk personnel are EXCEPTIONAL! They truly make you feel welcome and happy to see you. The room while huge and one of the "better" rooms, truly disappointed me. The floor was slick and slippery, very dirty. The dehumidifier ran sporadically which didn't help with the damp feeling in the room. The air conditioner was barely functioning and in July, it is definitely needed. And let's talk about the pool, again. Very cloudy, never saw it being cleaned. The pool side lounge chairs are still broken and disastrous. I did notice that the broken umbrellas were no longer poolside, so that's a plus. And to be noted, the ice machines weren't working either. I do love this place, thats why i keep returning. (I may need to take a break for a while though.)
