It's hard to do this and write a terrible review, it is not something I normally feel the need to do. But with United Airlines, I have never had a flight on time, and the communication between staff and customers (or other staff for that matter) seems to be non-existent. The airport I live near has 3 airlines, and united is unfortunately my only option most of the time. In the last 10 years, every flight I can remember with united has been delayed. In fact, it's the only airline I have flown where there is a message over the intercom as we're taxiing into our final destination that says "Please allow the people with connections to exit the plane first." (As if that's even going to help those poor people make their connection). I've simply not experienced this on Alaska, American, or Delta. These airlines seem to communicate much more openly on delays. For instance if Delta says there's a 10 minute delay it means 10 minutes. With United 10 minute delay means we don't know but likely an hour or more. So why not just say it? The kicker was purchasing a ticket which had fine print that we had to check our bags for extra fees in both directions. The ticket price seems less expensive at first but actually ends up being more expensive. So that's how they get you. It honestly feels like I'm being scammed. I hate that feeling that way and would rather pay more to an airline who actually cares about the people flying.
