Love the free trolley to Universal Studios. The room was clean. The staff were very friendly. I plan on going back soon .

Perfect spacious rooms for families visiting Universal Studios. The food at the bar is not impressive though.
It smells like molded water at the elevator area on the 4th floor. More ventilation needed I guess.
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the cleaning service was far better then what we’ve seen in other places. The trolley service to get to and from universal was awesome.
One of the women at check-in was horribly rude. Keys would stop working constantly and parking pass was hit or miss on it working. Room was dirty, turning clean socks and feet black within minutes. Balcony door is a hazard and would fall inward off the track. Tub was chipped and cut my foot open, good thing I am up to date on tetanus. Facility is nothing more than a cheap motel that they throw some IG worthy photos of the lobby up to try and be something it's not. Area is riddled with violent homeless who were screaming and threatening people from the front of the property.
Poor mattress condition. Gnats in room buzzed lamps when lamps turned on. Need to clean lamps and shades.
The pool in the patio area was nice. Some of the staff members were a little unfriendly

Normally stay at the Sportsmans large but since it was closed I tried the Garland due to its location. I enjoyed my stay. Loved the restaurant, bar, and pool. also liked they had laundry and dryers available for use.
Very nice “retro chic” style with lots of outdoor seating options including fireplaces. Great heated pool too. Will definitely be back!
The women on your day shift staff are complete angels. They were so sweet and took care of our concerns immediately. The evening staff were rude and nasty. Even the woman who broight us our room service was rude and out of line. They did not give us any utensils or napkins with our room service order, we didnt even get salt or pepper. My daughhter went out to get some. EVERYONE was so rude. She kept getting eye rolls and snippy comments. Every person they sent her to said. I cant help you. Even the delivery girl got mouthy with her. And i gave her a very nice tip. By the time she got back to the room. Her fries were mush and all the food was cold. And they never did give her and salt and pepper. The front desk clery was a short little asian man. I dont know his name my 1st time.ever ordering room service. Will definitely be my last
I got there waited 10 minutes for them to tell me to book the room again because they had canceled it then I booked it again they they told me to wait 15 minutes then they couldn’t find me in computer but I showed them my booking confirmation and still made me wait so I left and went to get a room somewhere else

Thank you for the review. We are sorry to hear that your stay was anything less than exceptional. It is our hope that during your time here all guests are taken care of and are given excellent service. I'm sorry to hear your check in was not up to our standards. This kind of thing we take very serious especially because the front desk is the face of the hotel. I will make sure to speak to the agent about this going into the future. Additionally I can understand the issues with the keys especially not working on a constant basis. Come December we will be replacing all door locks with RFID card readers so key issues will be a thing of the past. I know that doesn't help this time but it is something to look forward to. As for the room cleanliness I will make sure this is passed to my housekeeping as this is not the kind of image we want to portray to our guests staying with us. I did send my engineering team to the room to look at the tub and balcony door. With regards to the balcony door it is a European design and with how it opens it can look as though it is going to fall off the track but I can assure you that is how the door opens. Again I'm sorry to hear that you did not have a great stay and it is our hope that we can do better in the future.
