Nice hotel. Would return again. Restraunt and bar nice. Good food and drinks. Pleasant staff.

It was a small room but the location was perfect. Love the free shuttle. Parking and breakfast were super expensive.

The front desk staffs are super friendly and genuine, the hotel has very modern and comfort setting, and it's very clean! I really enjoyed my stay, I rarely recommend any hotel, but I highly recommend Garland to anyone who wish to visit Los Angelas or universal studios!

The internet ease in an out. Nice poolll Nice restaurant.

The Garland looks as beautiful in-person as it does in the pictures. The room was pleasantly clean and nice with a modern, contemporary look and feel. The room doors are pretty thin (we could hear a bridal party across the hall) but security did a good job with ensuring volume was kept down with regular visits. The parking is quite expensive but it seems to be the norm in the Universal City area. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in the Universal Studios area if I can get a room with at a good price.

This hotel has a 60s-70s retro design but is modern in every other way. Comfortable, in a good location, and with an excellent restaurant and staff, it has much to offer.

Stayed at this hotel many years ago when I came back to my surprise it has been all remodeled loved it years ago and now I'm more in love with that this hotel has more charm then any five star hotel I have ever stayed at I would never stay at any other hotel Los Angeles area. I will always stay at The Garland Hotel. I am totally in love with this hotel. The Hotel staff at the front desk are superb all the staff throughout the hotel are superb. The restaurant has the best food I've had in any hotel in ages Bartender make The best drinks ever and I will tell you at the prices are unbelievable low priced

We had to check in late and check out early, but I could imagine it would be a much nicer stay if I could stay longer. Friendly staff, modern and cool design from lobby to room to bathroom. I care about the cleanliness a lot in general. I was pretty satisfied with everything in the room. Loved the specialty toiletries which boosted up a "luxury spa" feeling. Saw a list of daily activities such as a hotel guided walk or games. Too bad had to miss. Will definitely recommend.

really fun hotel to stay in decor and music were like stepping back to the 70's. I kept looking for Dean Martin to walk into the lobby. Love the place , will go again

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. I loved it so much the 1st time because of the location and the unique design of the hotel that I decided to stay again. This time was even better because I actually used the fitness center. Wow is all i can say! I am an avid bodybuilder and found the gym to be perfect to do everything i needed. If you are traveling to this hotel try to stay a Friday or Saturday night because at night they show a movie next to the pool on a large screen with excellent sound. They also have a taco bar for $4-5/taco and its so nice and relaxing next to the pool with comfort food :) The rooms are old Hollywood/retro style which is cool as well. The bathrooms are great too with tile floors and walk in showers. We have always picked this hotel because its a few minutes from Hollywood and Beverly hills where we like to eat and shop. It also has a free shuttle on the hour (pickup and drop-off) to Universal Studios and the awesome city walk which is full of shops and restaurants. Definitely try the Garland if you're looking for a hotel in this area. You wont be dissapointed!

Needs to stop overcharging for parking. It is not a downtown area, there is plenty of parking. Price is high for what you get, room and bathroom are small. Bathroom needs to be cleaned better. Has a rule against hanging wet clothes on the balcony, yet does not offer a drying line in the shower area. On-site laundry facilities need cleaning, they are disgusting.

I chose this hotel because I did not want to stay in a large high-rise and based on it's location and previous reviews. Great staff, clean rooms, good food and drinks. We stayed during a hot week and did not use the pool as we were busy with activities but the pool seemed nice and others were enjoying. The hotel offered other 'themed' activities daily that we did not fully take advantage of .Nice courtyard to sit, eat or drink - restaurant on the premises. Free transportation to Universal but was overcrowded on the return back in the evening so we chose to Uber instead of waiting. Parking is not free but we did not rent a car . Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend if you are planning to stay in this area.

We had a great stay at this hotel. Location is great and hotel is clean, quiet, and staff is very helpful.

The hotel is excellent in every way for families. The facilities are clean, fresh, and up-to-date in a retro way. The staff are incredibly helpful and very friendly. The rooms are spacious and contemporary. The location is a bit out-of-the-way of a lot of L.A. hotspots but if you're planning around visits to Universal Studios or City, it's a prime location.

Quiet, comfortable, and a wonderful location in Hollywood. We'll be back!

We enjoyed our stay, it was quite and the amenities were well kept. The rooms were nothing out of this world, but for the price they were quite good! Only minor issues such as an elevator not working, not adequate lighting at night and the unfortunate early check-in fee of $70+

Had a great experience at the Garland. Nice boutique hotel located close to Universal Studios with shuttle service to the park. Food at the restaurant was great and hotel staff were friendly. Had nightly pool side movies which were age appropriate for children. Concierge did not seem to be a dedicated concierge because she seemed to be working at the gift shop and did not seem knowledgeable. Otherwise, I would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay at the Garland on a return LA trip.

Loved it amazing everything would definitely stay again.

Fun little hotel conveniently located and with an excellent restaurant right on the premises.

The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. There was a free shuttle that ran between the hotel and Universal Studios. The hotel offered daily activities such as exercise, tours, games, etc.
