We were late boarding (don't know why), and then after we boarded and were about to take off, we had to have mechanics check out the plane and then we needed more fuel. The pilot did a great job of explaining what was going on and keeping us updated regarding progress. And the flight crew gave us water and snacks while we were waiting. The pilot apologized several times for the delay, including just after we landed. I give the pilot and crew high marks for the way they handled the situation.
