Board one of the daily flights from Las Vegas to Sacramento, and you’ll leave the bright lights of the Strip behind for a destination where you can enjoy urban adventure at a slower pace. Make all of your travel plans at Orbitz.com, where you will find some of the most affordable prices on airfares, hotel rooms, and rental cars.
Your flight will take off from McCarran International Airport, located roughly three miles south of the downtown area. Each of the airport terminals offers several parking options, including short-term, long-term, and economy, with rates ranging from $10 to $36 per day. Regional Transportation Commission buses are available to get you to the airport for a $2 fare, and several local shuttle companies offer share-a-ride service for $8 to $10 from downtown. The city’s many taxi companies also offer airport transportation for roughly $15 to $20 for a one-way trip.
Your flight will land at the Sacramento International Airport, a short fifteen-minute drive north of the city. Summer temperatures often exceed 90°F, and winter temperatures occasionally dip into the high 30s, so plan accordingly to ensure that you have packed the proper seasonal clothing. Summer is a beautiful time to visit the Sacramento area, but you’ll still enjoy warm, sunny days if you take your trip in the early fall. While you’re in the Sacramento area, spend a day exploring the American River bike trail, take a stroll through Old Town Sacramento, or learn a little about the area’s history at Sutter’s Fort.
Sacramento offers enough history, arts and culture, outdoor adventure, and diverse neighborhoods to keep you busy for weeks. Get started on your trip by visiting Orbitz.com. At Orbitz, you’ll be able to find the lowest prices on flights from Las Vegas to Sacramento, as well as hotel rooms and rental cars.
