It was great :)
The Boeing airplane made all the difference !
Airline people offered to check the Carry On's in the storage and that made the connection so easy.
It was very cold on the plane and I was told there were no blankets available. I would have appreciated a blanket.
Everything except seats was great. Plane was old, trip was 4 hours and seats had very little padding left.
In just about four hours, non-stop, you can fly from Atlanta to San Jose, Costa Rica, and enjoy colonial architecture, museums and ecological activities. There are enough nature tours around San Jose to occupy visitors for days, from the surrounding volcanoes of Poas and Irazu to the gorgeous La Paz Waterfall Gardens. The city is home to many museums, but one of the best is the Museo Nacional, housed inside an impressive colonial-era fortress, which provides comprehensive exhibits delving into the history of Costa Rica. Mercado Central is a great place to try local cuisine and offers a variety of restaurants to choose from, many of which you ll find quite modestly priced compared to their U.S. counterparts.
You can get to the city from Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO) by taking a taxi or the Interbus shuttle service. Many hotels offer their own shuttle services as well. The transit bus system is clean, affordable and reliable. Temperatures are generally stable throughout the year. Average highs tend to be in the upper 70s to mid-80s, and average lows are consistently in the mid-60s. Come in January for the festive rodeo known as Fiestas Zapote.
