Located just eleven miles south of downtown Atlanta, the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (6000 North Terminal Parkway, Atlanta) is the primary airport serving the greater Atlanta area. Since traffic can be at a crawl during peak hours, the MARTA is one of the easiest and quickest ways to get to the airport, and a one-way fare is just $2.50. Many taxi and limousine companies in Atlanta offer airport transportation for about $30 from downtown or $40 from Buckhead. If you plan to drive your own car, you might want to choose Airport Park Ride (404-530-6725), which offers on-site parking for just $9 per day. Short-term, long-term, economy, and reserved parking will cost you anywhere from $12 to $36 per day.

The Pensacola International Airport (2430 Airport Boulevard, Pensacola) is located less than five miles south of the city with easy access via 9th and 12th avenues. The climate is generally warm, with winter highs in the low 60s and summer temperatures that can soar into the low 90s. Pensacola gets its fair share of rain, so consider bringing an umbrella or rain slicker. Hurricane seasons runs from June through November and peaks in in September and October.
