This is our 5th visit and we had an amazing visit as always. The staff is so accommodating and friendly! Room service was super fast with our morning orders. The food is excellent. We love the fillet minion at the French restaurant, chef specials at Ginger and everything at Mar Tierra breakfast, Lunch and dinner! The pool was beautiful and entertainment staff works very well with guests. The grounds are beautiful and the evening walks with lights along pathways along with soft music was a romantic.

This resort is awesome, very well maintained, services are amazing, personal is extremely friendly and make you feel so welcomed. Food is delicious. What impressed me was the level of details they are looking at and how hard they work and go over and beyond to make you have an unique pleasant experience. This was our fifth day at the Valentine was a little disappointed in the service compared to previous visits and food was not as hot, but the drinks and everything else were great

We did not feel safe or comfortable in this hotel as two single women. Ground floor rooms have open balconies for anyone to access so we could not open our curtains or sleep with the screen door. Most importantly, we think this hotel has counterfeit alcohol as we suspect one of us got methanol poisoning after being offered a special drink by the bartender at the pool. It ruined our entire trip. Please be careful with drinks here. The loungers are all reserved by 6:30am and the beach has a full-on construction site right behind it (feet from the last row of loungers). The hotel did not warn us about this when we booked our beach vacation. The ground literally vibrates and there is honking, beeping, and shouting that drowns out the sound of the ocean. Towels are not offered by the pool or beach so be prepared to lug around the two provided in your room. Food is not provided at the beach. Staff do not seem to like working there and often times treat you with disdain. Be prepared to wait 1 hour to get a seat at a restaurant, while staring at empty tables that will still be empty by the time you get seated. Concerns brought to management fell on deaf ears and we strongly feel they do not care about their guests experiences. I've stayed at this hotel before (and have referred many people) and after this experience, I can confidently say that this is no longer a 5 star hotel. I caution anyone against booking this hotel.
