Beautiful 4 bedroom penthouse by the beach

Ocean view spacious penthouse, best location in Playa Del Carmen. This incredible 270 m2 penthouse located over two floors features 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 3 terraces including the spacious rooftop. The unit has four bedrooms and room for nine adults, the bed-configuration is four double beds (2 king and 2 queen) plus one single bed. If this configuration of beds does not fit your group we will try to adapt to your needs.

On the second floor of the apartment there is a huge studio room that contains dining space, sofas. In one end of this studio bedroom there is a sleeping space with a king-size bed. The same room has sliding doors on each end going to the rooftop terrace as well as a smaller terrace in the back of the building. Ocean view on both sides.
From the studio room there are also doors to another, smaller 4th bedroom as well as a door to a bathroom that is shared between the two bedrooms. The 4th bedroom has a queen size bed, it also has its own sliding door directly to the terrace.

Long story short, the upstairs bedrooms have a little less privacy since you are entering the smaller bedroom from the studio room.

The penthouse is a great place to be for a big group or a family, perfect for staying together but there are also plenty of areas outside and inside where one can be more private.

Good location, inaccurate description

Let's start with the positive. Carlos the house manager was available and helpful so 5 stars to him. Check in was confusing because we entered through the garage but the security guard did not know which elevator we need to use so we walked around in circles in the garage with our baggage. The unit was clean but run down so 4 stars. There were doors that didn't close and the brown sofas had springs popping out when you sat on them. The hot tub is really an outdoor bathtub for 2 and the jets did not work. There was filtered water provided which was also nice and the refrigerator worked. The dishwasher was hit or miss. There is a partial ocean view which we enjoyed. The listing is false. This is NOT a 4 bedroom and that made this an uncomfortable situation. So, that really takes the rating down to 1 star. This is a 3 bedroom 3 bath unit and 1 of the bathrooms has opaque glass walls so no privacy. There is a king size bed with 0 privacy in the upstairs living area. NOT A BEDROOM! downstairs 1 bedroom with king size bed and ensuite bath. 2nd bedroom has 2 twins with access to hall bath. 3rd bedroom is off upstairs living area with full size bed. See photo for reference. I feel that the photos on VRBO could show this so you are not mislead but they do not.

We were a family of 9 adults. The place never felt crowded.The property is as pictured. It is in an excellent location. Laura is super. She answered questions and requests quickly. I would stay here again.

Great location

We loved this condo. It was in the best location, half a block from all the action on 5th. Very quiet and peaceful. Actual street was not busy and there was a taxi stand always ready. So nice there was underground parking and security at all times.manager was great and met us there. Owner very kind and responsive. Pools were nice, one shallow for the kids and another standing depth. Nice gym. Only negatives was that the kitchen was a bit bare. Also be aware that upstairs has two rooms connected, you must go through big room to get to little one, and the little room is very very tiny and only has a full size bed. But it met our needs. Would stay again.

The perfect setting for a family vacation!

This was the first time my entire family (my parents, my sister and her husband and their two kids age 8 and 5) have been on vacation together in Mexico, and the Magia penthouse couldn't have been more ideal! It offers plenty of space, both indoors and outdoors, for everyone to spread out and relax, and even with eight people, we never felt crowded or cramped. The kids loved the pools, and although the beach access right in front of the complex isn't ideal (there are boats moored there and lots of sandbags), there are several very nice beaches with better access just a few minutes walk away. The flat is well-located for restaurants and cafes, too; I was worried about my dad's ability to get around, since walking isn't as easy for him as it once was, but there are many excellent restaurants close by, and he never felt too taxed. A couple of things that could be pointed out: if you are a large group and you're going to make use of all of the bedrooms, it's worth noting that there is very little privacy for whomever takes the upstairs bedrooms (there are two beds upstairs; one is in a room with a door, the other is an open loft-like space, and they share a bathroom with a frosted glass wall). It didn't matter much to us, but I imagine it could be a problem for travelers who prefer private spaces. Also, I was a bit concerned about the kids going up and down the concrete staircase without a handrail, but their parents instilled a healthy amount of caution in them in advance, and they were very careful and just fine! Those minor details aside, it was a perfect week in Playa. Thanks so much to Sigurd and Laura (the wonderful property manager) for making our stay such a pleasure! We will definitely be back again!
