The room I was initially provided had poor wi-fi connection. I asked for a change of room, and it was granted immediately. The new room has excellent wi-fi connection,.

Ceiling tiles are falling in the bathroom and the trim is rotting by the door next to the bath tub and the toilet was loose and wobbled

When I showed up to check in. There was a person outside the front door asking me for my personal information and when I didn't give it to her, she went over and pestered my friend in my vehicle. Sign in was very slow. The room we stayed in was dirty. The floor was not clean and had not been swept, the room was not dusted. The toilet was not up to specs because it was almost on the floor. Very hard for a tall person to get off it and my friend is shorter than me and it was hard for her to get off the toilet as well.The mirror had water stains on it. The bottom hallway was smokie and hazy the first day, that evening it smelt like Marijuana. Their contanatiaI breakfast was very poor. There was only juice, milk, bread for toast, and a couple cereals. I will not be spending any more trips at the Econo Lodge of Newton, IA as the property was very poor. My overall rating doesn't even rate 1 star and it says its a 3 star hotel. Not in my book.

The front desk manager offered to us to park our motor scooter underneath canopy which is very kind. I saw a lot of staff cleaning and working to maybe repair things.

This is the very worse place i have ever stayed.its old,smells terrible!floor was sticky,poor bathroom lighting,urine smell..had to go get key Authorized every day.this was the lower floor..talked to another customer and they said the upper floor was better.

Will never stay at another Econo lodge again

Horrible stay! Website was very deceiving. Dirty, stunk, fridge was nasty, hesitant to sleep in bed, TV didn't work, blow dryer didn't work, smelt like smoke, said there was a bar and there wasn't. Ac didn't work. The pictures on the website made this place look very nice and it was the furthest from nice or even decent.

not worth it

my 2 big issues were - not very secure - anyone could get in anytime on any of the side doors without using a pass or key card. Breakfast was toast and honeybuns only - no fruit no yogurt. i don't think even any peanut butter for the toast. for a diabetic that is unacceptable. Also prices totally jacked up for the Indy race and concert. If you are going to do that - then at least provide an actual breakfast. Staff was very friendly and always helpful.
