Large rooms, nice restaurant, water park not open while we were there. Asked for a room facing the lake, was told none available. With the number of vehicles in the parking lot, there should have been more than enough lake view rooms. Next question below requires an answer, but none fit that we were here for a funeral so I selected business. One of the reasons I HATE reviews. Should be able to skip any questions you don't want to answer.

Another gymnastics meet weekend! My two daughters and I got a two queen family suite on the Lake Level. It was beautiful to wake up and see the frozen Winter Wonderland - and watch the ice fisherman head out to set up camp. The family suite is big with a microwave, sink and fridge. There are no doors separating the sleeping area from the living room/kitchennette though. A commonly complained about issue - but hardly ever mentioned when it goes well - is the Heating & Cooling! The vents were quite and the airconditioner was not a big noisy box under the window. Big Pro for me. Cons would be some lack of snow removal, primarily on the west side of the propery. Smaller bathroom, but no big deal. And it looked like the front desk staff were a little overwhelmed, especially at night. A special shoutout to Jesus at Regatta Grill who treated me to some great customer service and a great salad. He went above and beyond and made my stay special - Thank You!

We were in Storm Lake for a family gathering and all the other hotels in town are total dumps so we chose this one. We were not here with children so the water park was not a concern. Most people probably stay here with young kids for the water so it won't bother them that there will be constant screaming in the halls, stomping on the floor above, and pounding on the walls at all hours. The property is attractive on the outside and the lobby is very nice. The rooms are dated, the mattress was cheap and uncomfortable, the bed skirt was ripped, the bathroom was dirty. The bar was decent. The view of the lake is very nice. We paid $195 for the room which comes with 4 water park passes.

Overall a good stay. Did not have towels available for water park unless you went to the desk to ask. Pizzas were not very good as well. Room was very clean and comfortable.Way too much chlorine in the pools.

Nice indoor water park we have come to for 3 years straight for a staycation from Omaha. Our kids have so much fun and the water is warm and water slides are fun, so that has brought us back. This year, they were out of pool towels the whole 2 days we were there, unless you specifically asked the desk for them and even then, they were out once. (None sitting available on the community towel rack). And both times in the 2 days when my family got out of the pool and back up to our room to shower there was no hot water!! That seems crazy for a hotel. Also the restaurant there has horrible service (like it took them 45 min to get us breakfast with 3 small children and the waitress asked us if we wanted the buffet—which we then ordered, which they didn’t even have available that day then had to wait 10 more min for her to come back and get our order), they had no kids menus printed, the food itself was fine, but we would not give them business again due to the service and lack of communication there. Probably will look for a different destination next year for winter getaway.

I have stayed at this hotel many times, but this week was disappointing. Hot water wasn’t working for three days. Aster running for half an hour, water became lukewarm. The restaurant was also closed one day because an exhaust fan wasn’t working. Outside of this, the hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. There was no offer of a reduction in rate, but I was given a chance to move to a different room. That probably would not have helped since other guests had the same problem.

Water park was only open till 9pm on Friday night. We only got to be in the water about a half hour because of a "pool check" (it was obvious they were cleaning/shocking the pool- why not just say it??). Quite overpriced for what we got. The least they could do is offer a breakfast.

Water park was great. Pool Water is a warm 85. The highlight for the kids. We set up a family get together at the hotel. Some what disappointed in not getting the block of rooms request so that we could be in a group, nor were any rooms adjoining. This is of course after we drove over the week before to ensure we met with manager and went over the details we wanted to see. Domestic water to the room showers was ice cold, but if you ran the water 15 min before showering it did become warm. Restaurant was cold to sit in and the food was at best OK. Staff working the weekend was very good.

Clean Room and Hotel. Only recommendation is to repaint the little kids side of pool. We watched kids constantly slip and fall hitting their head and adults sliding as they walk across. Very dangerous.

My kids & I have stayed at King’s Pointe a handful of times in the last 4 years. We were unfortunately quite disappointed in our recent stay. We got a 2 room, queen suite.....although the room itself was ‘okay’ it wasn’t very large for the price, not the end of the world because we were there to swim. When we organize this weekend it’s a girls trip with friends that don’t get an opportunity to get together often & Kings Pointe is a great middle spot! Once down at the waterpark we grabbed a table & went to get drinks.....while the drink list at the concession showed about 6-7 options when I went to order they only had 3, none of which were good choices, in my opinion. Whatever we’re still determined to make the most of our trip! At 9 we went to our rooms to get the kids situated & order room service. We called the front desk around 920ish only to be told room service was done for the evening. Fine, we got the kids settled down & ran down to the restaurant to grab something to eat, it’s now not quite 930. We get downstairs & the restaurant is closed! Fortunately we’d already fed our kids frozen pizza from the concession stand but as adults we wanted something a little better than frozen pizza so we waited......bad idea! Even tho the website clearly states on Saturday the restaurant is open until 10 it was closed well before 10pm! I called to the front desk to get an additional roll away for our room! I was told it would be $15!! The rollaway arrives & when we go to set it up there is no bedding, not even a pillow! There were 2 vending machines that we saw on the floor we were on; however one was completely empty & the other was pretty much empty except for maybe 3 bottles of water! There were no snack machines anywhere! When I mentioned it to the front desk staff they said; well we do have pop down here in the gift shop. Hmm okay that’s fine, but why have the vending machines then? We’re just quite disappointed as this is a wknd the kids & us girlfriends have really enjoyed over the years, but I’m not sure we’ll be able to stay there again.
