It is located 11 miles outside the city of Charlestown, and is actually a joint civil-military operation. The airport terminal was redeveloped as recently as October 2016, and as such offers high levels of comfort and convenience. Cars can be hired at the airport, which is located close to Interstates 26 and 526. The CARTA bus service also runs to and from the airport, offering two routes to Charleston between 6am and midnight, while taxis with fixed rates are available.
- Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport (GSP)
Greenville–Spartanburg International is located at the midpoint between the cities of Greenville and Spartanburg in the Upstate region of South Carolina. It is the second busiest airport in the state, handling 2.23 million passengers per year. It currently handles domestic flights exclusively, via five different airlines.
