We would stay there again but…
We were there for a graduation at Ft. Benning. We stayed Monday to Friday.
The initial impress is awful. The neighborhood looks sketchy. Heading toward the river gets better with every block. We walked every day and honestly never felt unsafe. Really everyone we encountered was very friendly. Columbus downtown is walkable and very nice. We had great food, white water rafted and did the zip line. The naval museum was really good. My husband, a history buff, loved it. We learned a lot we did not know about the Navy during the Civil War.
Back to the house. We had some issues that were resolved and some that were not.
Resolved:
Delivered a brand new portable crib when requested.
There were not enough
plates, silverware, baking dishes, big enough cookware to feed my group of ten.
It took them over a day to bring the things but they did bring everything I requested including more towel as there were barely enough for one day. Unfortunately we had gone to plan B of eating out. Not my favorite option for a group that size.
Unresolved but I do not remember if I even bothered requesting given the slower reply of the first issues.
We needed bedding for the futon. Bought our own set of sheets and left them.
Conclusion: They certainly tried to make this a good experience and overall a four star is a nice rating given all the issues. I gave it that because had all this items been there when we arrived I would have easily given it a four star. As I stated the first impression was not great but the experience was much better than expected and we would stay again. It was nice to have so many bedrooms.
