The rooms we had felt a bit outdated. The wait for dinner was completely unacceptable; we waited nearly 2 hours one night. Making a reservation isn't an option. The property looked nice. The pool was great, but I don't know what it would have been like during peak days. The spa was excellent.

The food was pretty decent for resort food. Outside of that, it would have been five stars. The grounds, the beach, the staff, and the entertainment were all amazing. We went with a large group with all ages, and everyone had a blast.

Our room was clean and nice however there should be more “inclusive family” items for those paying for upgraded family villas. The food wasn’t great at any of the restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful. It’s very difficult to find basketballs/tennis rackets and they are not near the courts. Our butler was great. Overall the trip was okay but we have stayed at other chains, even less expensive chains, and preferred them over this resort. Shop around for excursions as two of the vendors on site tried to sell us an excursion and the online price directly through the excursion website was significantly cheaper. We did the photos through the onsite vendor and they were significantly higher in price than what we have paid at other resorts. We ultimately did not purchase.

Our room was clean and the staff were all so amazing and friendly! I do think the common areas (namely the common bathrooms) could be cleaned more often and more deeply. Would definitely return.

The bartenders weren’t as enthusiastic as they usually are the other times we’ve stayed, the bathrooms in the buffet were dirty the majority of the time, and the power went out multiple times.

Amazing time at Sapphire. Friendly staff, fantastic pool and beach. The new indigo preferred was beautiful. This is our 2nd time at Sapphire and we will definitely be back again I’m sure.

My third time here. The staff at the resort is great Reselly at portofino is an awesome server She went above and beyond. Alberto in the buffet restaurant is also awesome saw us waiting and already had coffee and juice in the table waiting for us. Truly missed Jose at the adult pool he has a great personality and always attentive. Plan on going back next year hoping Jose will be back at that pool.
