I don't recommend this hotel at all… the moment that you walk in, they will try to upsell you with a time share package and Diamond member package… AC doesn't go below certain temperature so I had hard time sleeping at night… restaurants are really really busy so you will have lots of waiting time… also the foods are terrible and very small portion… during the lunch time, they have a few of food trucks options but they are very busy so I had to wait about 45 minutes in line to get a food… bar tenders are usually very unfriendly because they are just simply too busy… went to the ice cream shop and they ran out of ice cream… compared to my last visit at different hotel few years ago, I do not recommend this hotel at all…

Voiced the property was dirty upon arrival and manager told me I should take my family else where if I didn’t like it, he seemed indifferent of anything I had to say. Made reservations and took forever to get our meals and wasn’t asked for refills even at the cave restaurant where I had to pay $250 extra we were the first ones in and last ones out, seemed like the manager told everyone to treat us like garbage, went to hibachi and they never made my wife’s meal, went to voice my concerns and said the only manager available was the same guy that didn’t care, we took pictures of everything and showed them and they said no one could do anything about it, up until our last night they said there was someone above him and would meet with us after her meeting, she never met with us so we went to look for her and was told she was gone for the day but would meet us at 8am next day. The next day came around and went to meet with her and they said it was her day off and she refused to take our call. Erika Topete my guess the problem is not your employees but you and all of the “management” in your hotel, I’m a Bonvoy member and it’s the first hotel I get treated like this, I could go on for days on everything that went on my stay. It’s sad to see this and I wasn’t the only one complaining

As always in Mexico people’s service and charm are amazing, the Mexican people try their best always to make you feel at home. The property is ok, I noticed lack of maintenance throughout, from missing tiles in the pool, to rusty architectural and decorative elements, to mold in the shower, and broken plumbing that made our shower smell funky. The restaurants were ok, but nothing out of this world. Our concierge’s lack of attention was disappointing sometimes, sometimes helpful, but could been better. A lot of pool options and activities for kids. The kids in the family had a really good time.

Limited food options. Every time we had a reservation for a restaurant we were given a very small portion and waited for over an hour and a half for your food. The food quality was not the best. It was too crowded and chairs at the pool and beach were limited. Overall I wouldn’t recommend to come here for the experience. The staff was nice and kept the resort clean. I did not like that we were asked to purchase a prime membership. That took too much time from our vacation. I feel like we did not get to enjoy our vacation because we were interrupted from the start of our vacation and once we agreed to listen to their presentation, it took all morning for them to explain their membership. It felt like being in a shark tank. They wanted us to upgrade for an extra charge, and the “extra charge” was so high we would pay more for a massage in Mexico than in the US. Our resort app did not work ONLY because we booked through Expedia. Will not be coming back to Royalton. Not sure if we would even come back to Cancun.

Disappointing Hotel Experience My recent stay at this hotel was a significant letdown, particularly regarding the food and service. The food options were severely limited, and the quality was far from five-star. The chicken I had was remarkably chewy, and the vegetarian options were scarce across all restaurants. Consistency was a major issue; the food quality varied with each meal, and portion sizes differed daily. The bar experience was equally frustrating. There was no cocktail menu available, and every bartender seemed to have their own recipe, leading to wildly inconsistent cocktails. Beyond the dining, service issues also marred our stay. Our luggage was delivered late, which was a huge inconvenience. Even more frustrating, a special item I had ordered for an occasion required daily follow-ups and only arrived on the very last day of our stay. Overall, the inconsistent food quality, poor beverage service, and significant issues with luggage and special requests made this a truly disappointing experience.

First of all we have spent so much money to book this resort for a great family holidays. Beach is dirty (can't swim there). Seaweed smell covers the entire property and it is really gross. We been just settled in to the smell and started taking some family pictures using drone and we been told drones not allowed. Which i found really pointless rule. I am spending close to $6000 for 4 nights and can't use my own drone? Resort is very isolated from the city town and very restricted access to the shops and foodery. All inclusive alcohol has cheap quality spirits. Bar tender ran out of spirit by 7pm and told me we only get 1 Bootle allocated to this bar so select something else. One last advice is to book cancun activity using private platform. Resort offers local activities for 3 times higher price compared to viator OR Trivago.
