This is not a 5 star hotel by any means. The hotel needs some serious updating. The room shows quite some wear and tear and the service is average. For the price that they charge, I would have expected a much better service. The curtains are not blackout leading to high luminosity in the morning. Room service is very average with beds half made. The breakfast buffet is average with very limited choices. If I had to rate the hotel, It would be less than 4 stars.

Staff was very attentive. Had to wait a few minutes and had the coffee at the coffee station. I mentioned it was cold. She came back with a fresh Americano. Room was clean and ready.

Nice view from room. Property amenities good. Lots of little bites in the club lounge. I found it weird that my room minibar was locked. I asked the staff and apparently I had to call to have it unlocked? Never had that experience before. So no access to a mini fridge

We experienced an issue during our stay on the night of 10 December 2025. Water began dripping from the ceiling and gradually moved towards the bed, causing significant inconvenience. We informed the hotel lobby around 11:00 PM, but there was no immediate response. As the situation worsened, we had to personally go to the lobby to seek assistance. It took approximately one hour for the issue to be addressed and resolved. Due to this delay, we were only able to go to bed around 12:00 AM, which disrupted our rest and overall comfort during the stay.

The property was very well groomed. When we went to our room there was no water, one cup for hot drink, and very little tea. This was all fixed when I called the front desk.

Room taken is absolutely deviated from what is advertised. Manager at that breakfast place is rude and so as most of their unattentive staffs. Quite awful experience and definitely not worth the monies.

They gave us a bedroom on the first floor close to the ice maker room that was extremely noisy, we complained and they moved us to another room. Loved the beach and the food.

Beach was amazing. Service and a staff were attentive and conversational. This is our third time visiting Cancun, and our second time staying at intercontinental. My mom loved this hotel because of the quiet area away from the lights and noise, but also it’s close enough if you do get bored and want to walk in the evening to the area for shopping. My mom loved talking to locals in the hotel and it reminded her of home, everyone was nice with good sense of humor. Hotel room had everything you might need, bed was very comfortable and beach view was nice, if you could get a higher view that would be ideal. But who’s staying in their hotel room all day anyways?

Excellent service. Staff was amazing and helpful. Specially concierge desk went above and beyond to fulfill my needs. Also both managers on the reception desk understood my needs and helped me to upgrade my room to 615 which was sea view . Had an excellent time with family. Will definitely go back next year
