Really worn. Adequate for one night stay
Property presented clean and well maintained on arrival. Grounds well groomed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived quite early and the staff checked us in and gave us our room keys so we could walk right into the cleaned room immediately after returning from lunch. Room was very clean and nicely appointed, unpretentious and welcoming.
Excellent hotel for the price point! Staff was extremely friendly from check in, one of the housekeepers, check out, and breakfast bar. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast bar had a great selection. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the beginning of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Close proximity to several restaurants as well. Would absolutely recommend staying here, and will most likely stay here again when we come back up this way.

The front desk staff was very friendly. The fitness room was small but adequate for a basic workout, however much too warm in there to do any significant cardio. The outdoor pool was not fancy but also adequate. When going into the pool the door locked behind me and I had to exit the gate and go through the hotel's main entrance (albeit only about a 30-foot detour). The shower floor was very slippery which could potentially turn into a big problem if not careful, and the drain was slow to drain. The hotel was super quiet at night for restful sleep which I very much appreciated. Anything and everything you could need for stores and restaurants is within a half-mile. Overall a fine experience, but depending on your outlook and expectations you may take issue with a couple minor inconveniences.
It took them 45 min to give me a room, after i waited in line for 10. There was lots of confusion over what rooms were available, when i got to the room (204) it was completly trashed and never cleaned, second room (224) same. I handed front desk our room keys and asked they reimburse the room charge as we left, choosing to drive 6hrs home rather than stay there. Couple infront if us had a similiar problem. No more Comfort inn for us

Free hot breakfast-none due to covid-prepackaged bars and muffins due to covid, but nothing mentioned on site, confirmation email, etc. 2 towels per room with two folks staying 2 nights-really? Room smelled terrible like cigarettes and moldy AC unit. Nasty, woke up stuffed up with a sore throat both mornings. Tried to get a different room after check in, was told nothing was cleaned, called down later when we returned and was told they were booked. Ridiculous! Stayed here may times over the years without all of these issues.
