I always like staying here when I come to Charlottesville...

ALL the staff, from top management to the kitchen and cleaning crew, are very cordial and helpful... I always enjoy staying here...

Customer service was excellent. hotel is a older place, but thats one thing that makes it unique. for being older, it was well kept with typical wear and tear in areas. breakfast was good, typical hotel food(eggs, sausage, etc) however it was hot and fresh and was really good. also, the fact they have made breakfast work through COVID, is also a plus being other places just gave up on that aspect. They also allow pets, which was a big plus being our dog just had surgery last minute and we couldnt board him. definatly will stay again.

The hotel was very clean and the common area near the lobby was very inviting and nice. The staff was unfriendly and not attentive when we needed something. The man at the front desk the morning we checked out was extremely rude. As I was putting the keys on the desk he shouted, "just hand them to me"! The hotel was clean and nice, the staff not so much. We will not stay there again.

It is an old hotel. The mattresses were very uncomfortable and poor quality. The pillows were also very poor. There were stains on the washed towels. The room phone was not even attached to a line or power outlet. It was just an accessory. We called the front desk from our cell phones. Over all, the hotel needs to update itself and renovate its rooms. I couldn’t sleep for two night as the beds and pillows were so uncomfortable and did not meet Average hotel standards. I forgot my PJs in the bathroom and I called the hotel next day, and was told that housekeeping did not bring anything down to front desk and that they would call me if they find my PJs. I literally told them my room number and where I exactly left them hanging on the hook of the bathroom door. There is no explanation that the housekeeping could not find them (yet). It was the worst hotel I stayed and it was not even cheap. Total disappointment!

Very clean, room had a fresh clean smell when you entered. House Keeper is excellent.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Room was adequate.....linens were sparse and not especially comfortable. We had the king suite and having the frig there was very nice. Bathroom door handle was in need of repair and toilet flushes very slowly but overall stay was pleasant.

Very nice and responsive staff. The breakfast buffet was awesome both days. A little older property, but they've kept it up. The location is perfect for stores, restaurants and access to UVA and downtown. Will definitely come back.

Upon arrival to this hotel, I was disappointed to find the front desk operator and 2 other hotel employees in the front lobby not wearing facial masks, which is required by Virginia law indoors, when dealing with the public due to covid 19. This was especially concerning, as I was staying the night in the hotel after having a surgical procedure at the University of Virginia hospital, Because I live 2 hours away. The air conditioning in the Room was not working properly. There were holes in the ceiling of the bathroom as well as mold all over. There was so much dust on the light fixtures and air filters, that my daughter and my allergies were exacerbated.

Good breakfast with array of choices. Very friendly kitchen staff. Good value.

Very nice. What we expected for price. No complaints.

Customer service was nice. They were very accommodating

Food, shopping center and highways near it. Many options for dining.

Out behind it is what appears to be a community garden. It was nice to go outside and see veggies growing. Also, there is a small park-like area next to a creek where people hang out and walk their dogs. You don't feel quite so much like you are in the 'city' The staff is very nice and helpful

Our sincere apologies on your stay FBA. Although we would of preferred you bring this to our attention while still with us so we could of remedied, we are still sorry this was your experience and can definitely say it is not keeping within the high standards we strive to provide. In regards to renovations, we are actually in the midst of renovations and hope to be complete this time next year. On another note, we are glad you found your pajamas. We do hope you give us another chance as your experience was not the norm.
