The room had been nicely renovated. Nice size room. The view out of our window was a tree line between the hotel and a neighborhood. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Helped me with a easier way to get to my medical appt. Will use them again for future appointments.

Extremely comfortable pillows and bed. Very clean facility. Very cost effective

Hotel resold my room after cancelling first day due to FAA shut down. Hotel is very clean and would stay there again if back in that area.

The waiter knowingly served me the wrong dressing on my salad. I guess he was waiting to see if I remembered what dressing I had ordered.

Pillows were half the size of regular pillows, bed was so wobbly, i was afraid it might collapse! Rooms seemed somewhat clean, lobby was decent

Next to the ice machine and elevator. Noisy environment.

The hotel has been renovated. The double beds are now queen size beds. The rooms have a mini-fridge and a microwave. We noticed water on the carpet in our room which we first thought was from the air conditioner. We notified the staff and a repair person arrived in 1/2 hour. He though the problem was a leak in the patio door (which only opens a crack). But regardless -- they were able to move us to a new room very quickly -- it was great service by the staff!

We'd never been to Charlottesville, and were not familiar with the area or the hotels. We were very pleased with the Holiday Inn on Emmet St. Everyone was very nice, we had everything we needed, and if anything ran out, they provided it immediately. The restaurant in the hotel was nice--we had two meals there--and the staff there was very accommodating, as well.

Staff was super friendly, room was clean and comfortable, only complaint was a housekeeper was knocking on doors early yelling,"HOUSEKEEPING!"

Staff was attentive and the facilities were nice. The pool was COLD and CLOUDY (and had been for several days.. I checked the pool checklist); it didn't look like they were doing anything about it... just marking it on the check sheet. It was nice to have a washer/dryer available during our stay; but we didn't appreciate the creepy guy that was hanging out down there... staff should check the area more often (CCTV?)

Great location, unusually nice rooms. Very clean and enjoyable. Staff was excellent in all areas. One Lady at the front desk who waited on us was most helpful and friendly. Also, the food prices were reasonable also. Couldn't have been better.

Room was comfortable! I especially liked the free unlimited computer access. The in-hotel restaurant where we had the breakfast buffet was very good.

Because it was a last minute booking under different names, we were placed on different floors. Immedaitely the receptionist relocated us so we were only a couple of door apart. It would have been helpful to have a breakfast coupon to use for a 'take with you' breakfast rather than the dining room only. The cleanliness was great. Neither the pool nor exercise room was used - too busy - and they looked rather plain. If I'd had time, I would have visited them.

It was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the room was large and had a refrigerator and microwave which was a plus. Checkout was fast and easy.

I stayed for 1 night for office trip. Room was neat and clean, Amenities are excellent. I got what I needed for a short biz trip.

wonderful experience..staff helpful..room excellent. location perfect for UVA functions we attended.

Hotel was very understanding and adaptable to our needs while family was hospitalized. Also has discounted rate for UVA patients/family with documentation from hospital. Close to hospital & very convenient.

I've stayed at this hotel several times while in Charlottesville for UVa football games. The staff remembers their regular guests and are very friendly and accommodating.

Visited UVA to drop my daughter off for college. Great location, clean, however the ac unit was loud and there was no heavy drapes to block out the street lights at night. Will not stay again.

I had reserved a nonsmoking room, adding a message that I have asthma and a smoke allergy. I was given a smoking room, or anyway one that smelled like an ashtray. The desk clerk moved me to another room, one that smelled only slightly smoky. This is typical treatment for a female traveling alone. The hotel is attractive, overpriced, not altogether clean, with uncomfortable beds and acceptable food. I won't stay here again if I can help it.
