The spa and pool opened at 630 and closed at 11pm. The rooms were so quiet.
The hotel's restaurant and lounge are both closed during renovation. There is a tiny coffee shop; we stopped down for a light breakfast and there was a sign on the door that said the staff person would be back in five minutes. The hotel is huge and not the most price-competitive option in own, so having a one-employee coffee shop as the sole source of refreshment is pathetic.
This hotel is near most of the attractions we went to visit. Lots of history
Checking in was super easy and the ladies were very friendly. The lobby is absolutely beautiful. The rooms on the other hand need some serious updating and a good cleaning. We had dirty hand towels. Dust was very visible on every corner and edge of the walls. The fridge was rusty and old. Over all I would not stay here again.
Great lobby!! Small bathroom No safe in room No cups No coffee or tea in room No water
Needs updating and did not feel clean l. Shower was filthy
The location is great and their staff is friendly.
Location, well maintain, clean, nice gardening the way around property, spacious rooms but oldy furniture and amenities. OK for the weekend stay...
The room was pleasant and the staff was very welcoming. The facility is a bit dated, but appears to be going through renovations.
Loved the lobby very grand and inviting entrance and seating areas
Great location for visiting Busch Gardens. Traffic and train was disturbing at night. WiFi wasn’t working. Bathroom super tiny and very poor lighting. Not very clean and very outdated. Staff were very pleasant.
Stayed three nights. Did not receive house cleaning on any one of those nights. Room hadn't been vacuumed in what appeared to be weeks.
It was a fine place to stay. It seems like it's in transition - an older property that is being renovated currently. The rooms are older, but functional. The shower head is maybe 5'9" off the ground, which is tough for tall people. The room was decent size, but the beds were not the most comfortable and the fitted sheets had lost all elasticity so they constantly came off. Otherwise, the room was perfectly fine. The breakfast is a "light continental", which had plain bagels you could toast, prepackaged muffins, a tray of danishes, instant oatmeal, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, apples, orange juice, coffee, and milk. Nothing freshly cooked, but it was free and plenty to start the day for our family. Overall, it was inexpensive and conveniently located for our vacation plans (Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens).
Power was being turned off for the day and evening on our second day there. NO advanced notice. Found out by reading a sign at check in! We had to move rooms in the dark for second night. Then no breakfast put out the next morning...no coupon to go elsewhere, no notice that our included breakfast was cancelled, no apology. It is a quiet place to stay and very clean for older rooms.
Close to everything and a great price. Not fancy but still nice. Breakfast is so-so. Staff is great. Desk had my paperwork ready when I entered the front door. The key in my hand and headed to the room in one minute!
The refrigerator is frozen over with ice that is simultaneously leaking water all over the inside of the fridge. The dresser smells musty and moldy like it was pulled out of a 100 year old cellar. There was also a wig's worth of long, black hair stuck to the bathroom walls. At least a dozen hairs. I have gotten better from a travel lodge.

Thank you for your review. We apologize for the challenges in your room. We do have coffee makers and all the accompaniments typically and we apologize these were missing.
