Great place to spend time with family. It is a nice gateway from the city and not far from DC

The amenities were more than expected. We were pleased with the variety of things to do throughout the day and night. Did not like that one of the 2 elevators on our wing was out of order and the one in service did not work as it should. When asking staff about pools they neglected to inform us that the outdoor pool wouldn't open for several hours, so we hiked across the property to it only to find that on that day it didn't open until 2pm. Room cleanliness was just avg. Ceiling vent in bathroom covered in dust from years of buildup, a pretzel goldfish on the floor behind the nightstand, a hairtie under the desk. But bed linens were clean so that was good. One of the bedroom windows on 4th floor lacked a working lock and a screen. This would be a safety concern for some families with children.

I had zero hot water in my room and the towels were dirty

Staff were exceptional, we enjoyed our time there immensely.

Homestead has lost the plush of the old days. Tea time was a grand time of the day, but has been changed to a cart with 1 type of sweet and 2 hot teas. Dining room service needs to be more attentive to clients and not just serve food & not even refill water glasses. Wonderful grand hall. Great history tour. Will prefer Greenbrier in future.

Beautiful property! Loved the indoor pool & kids arcade area.

We had a lovely time from start to end! It’s beautiful out there, and the kids loved the ice skating and swimming pool areas, as well as the skiing and games room! The food was delicious, and the drinks lovely. We will be back in the summer for sure!

This is the second time I have visited the Homestead in the last 6 months. Everything has been wonderful except the dining experience. Both times we experienced overworked servers with a long wait. Then food id good but not great. Everyone and everything else is wonderful which is the reason we go back. Definitely need to focus on the dining experience.

They did a great job with the outdoor swimming pool area, they should renovate the Jefferson' hot springs since many of us returning visitors, want to see it renovated. The Omni should invest in fixing several aspects of the building that are deteriorating... Food was as always outstanding and the Staff wonderful.

Wonderful property and staff ... it is a one of a kind experience for anyone seeking a break from the busy city and/or hectic pace of everyday life. Reminds me of the location in the movie Dirty Dancing ... great family vacation spot! 😀❤️

Love the hotel..can see that you are working to keep this hotel current. Room was very nice..hotel lobby needs to be upgraded .. new carpet and all new upholstery. That is your first impression and it was dated!! Otherwise..great job..loved the OLD COURSE. Great shape!!

Terrific get away ... fabulous room with a balcony ...

The wallpaper, paint and carpet all need updating and maintenance. It is a beautiful property but has seen better days. For the price and status, it does not deliver. The dinner at the Main Dining Room was slow and nothing to write home about. The staff are loyal and pleasant but not well trained. Go only if you get a very good deal on the rate or for a conference etc.

I found the staff here to be incredibly nice and customer-focused. We had a room in the "newer wing" and as I understand it, it's a little nicer over there. The beds were soft, housekeeping was great. It's expensive, obviously, and everything within the resort is correspondingly expensive--I recommend going elsewhere for food--but the experience itself is fantastic.
