Stayed here twice, and it is a good value, but hotel common areas are a bit worn and spartan. Our room was well supplied and the linens in good shape. The balcony with bridgeview as well as price were our reason for stopping over on a long car trip.
Was a nice placed to stay except they put us clear in the back of the building. We felt they did that because the question ask was did we book with Expedia??
Nice place. Great area. Walk across the street to see the Big Bridge and watch freighters pass by. And the sunsets are amazing there! Could have been a comfortable chair or 2 in the room, that would have been nice. And if they could just make hotel doors unslamable!
Love the Super 8 Bridgeview. We will return. Staff gave us the room on the first floor do to the walker of one of the guest, easy access to the lobby and Pool. Pool was clean and a wonderful warm temp. Hot tub was very relaxing after a wonderful day in Mackinaw. The breakfast was plenty but they need to expand the area as when the guest start arriving for the meal they run out of seats quickly. We thought you got your full Dollars worth at the Super 8 Bridgeview.
beautiful room right across from lighthouse and bridge. nice desk clerks. room was convienient.
We got to the hotel. The lobby was very hot and extremely uncomfortable. Once we got the key to our room We went in to check it out. We were in a horrible room. The room was right next to the pool. Inside the room there were windows that actually went directly to the pool area. Little kids were trying to look into the cracks of the safety pinned curtains, so see into our bedroom. The pool was so busy and loud we couldn't even hear each other talk. The door to the room was so close to the door to the pool area that when i opened the door to go tell the front desk i needed a new room our door actually hit some kids running out of the pool area. Management made me pay $50 more for a different room. At 845 at night when my five year old needed to get some rest, i reluctantly agreed. We will not be going back.
The entire second floor wreaked of pot and evidently there was a fight there the night we stayed because there was blood all over the hallway walls. It was nasty! I kinda felt like a took my family to stay the night at a frat house. Definitely would not stay there again
We stayed for the Mustang Stampede from July 17-20. The room was clean, the beds were very comfortable and the fridge was COLD!!!! We enjoyed our stay and will be back next year!
Very nice hotel, this is the second time my boyfriend and I stayed here. Great location! Close enough to walk to downtown but not too close. Very friendly staff and nice rooms. Will defiantly be back!
I was a little disappointed by the location of this hotel; it appeared to be closer to all the happenings on the online map than it really was. But, in their defense, there was a free shuttle available to get to the ferry going to Mackinac Island. The pool was just okay and the Jacuzzi needs to be fixed. The complimentary breakfast was adequate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. If I were going to be there longer than one night, I might search for a place closer to the shops and beach.
nothing special ... sauna was locked shut ... "gym" consisted of a single bow flex ! ... and the pool area was below average at best ... breakfast was below average ... Location was the only good thing about the place ......
Pool was not functional and had to drive to another to swim and go there for breakfast also since they had no food service delivery. No vending machines stocked and had to go to a gas station for snacks. Dirty brown water out of sink faucets. We should have been informed about their problems about the pool and breakfast before checking in or at least given a discount or voucher for another time.
We had a late arrival, but check-in was speedy and effortless. We only stayed for the night and had an early departure. The continental breakfast was a hit!
We stayed in a two room suite. The hide-a-bed when opened was boxed in and we had to crawl over to get in and out of bed. Sounded like they had bats in the walls. Fitness area is nasty. Service was Ok. Location Ok. Nice view of the bridge. Probably would not stay again.
Advertised on website they had an extensive game room-totally not true. Had 2 coin operated games and a super small torn up pool table about 30 years old. The pool was ice cold and the dry sauna never got above 72 degrees. The hot tub had broken jets. The elevator broke and we were on the 3rd floor, yet the desk clerk refused to help us carry our bags....
They had lots of stuf for kids and had no problems having dog their. My only problems were the breckfast area in morning not enough room to move around not enough tables a problem I have at every hotel 4 chairs to sit at and 20 people. Also pool area and hot tub out dated and game room dirty.
The hotel was not very clean at all.The location was very close to shopping and dining. It was also very close to the ferry that takes you to Mackinac Island.Location was an A++.The motel it self was a D-.I would not recommend this one.
The Super 8 hotel was close to down town and had a great view of the Mackinac Bridge. The breakfast had a good variety. The only down fall was there was a lot of running in the halls and you could hear your neighbor turn on the tv at 5am.
I found my first impressions of this hotel to be great! For the rate, I had a clean room, with two queen beds that included a small refrigerator. However, I did find the bed to be uncomfortable and hard to the point where I woke many times through the night even though I had just been on the road for 7 hours. I would probably stay here again for the price and convenience.
The Super 8's ammenties were all inoperable. We told the staff that the saunna was broken, the whirlpool was not working. Unfortunatley, there was no attempt to fix it while we were there.
