Check in agent at the desk was great. The room was not in good shape, though. It was clean, but it had a broken TV (no sound), broken phone, and broken fixtures in the bathroom. When I went to the front desk to report the issues, the door to the check in area was locked and no one was there. I decided to just get on with my weekend.

Overall, a pleasant stay. While they have made attempts to upgrade the property the old "motor inn" can still be seen. The carpet was really old and stained and the furniture was also pretty antiquated. That being said, the room was clean and some modernity could be found in an upgraded bathroom and bed and fresh paint on the walls. Staff was extremely friendly and free, secure parking near fishermans warf is very hard to find. For the price I would certainly recommend this motel.

We had a great, quick stay at the Castle Inn. Having lived in SF for almost 10 years previously - we wanted a convenient location and secure, included parking for a reasonable price with great reviews/cleanliness. Castle Inn was that. We'll definitely stay here again.

Nice experience. It’s a basic/ typical room nothing fancy, no spectacular views, etc… however the room, the building & location were all clean and safe! Also, a good option If you’re looking for a quiet room to relax & sleep but not far from nice cafes/ restaurants, bars, shops, etc.

The room was nice and the parking was easy, especially up on the office level. The neighborhood was great with great places to eat within a three block walk. My only complaint was that the mattress was way too soft.
