The property is kind of run down - could use new paint and hardware. Also, it is not close to the convention center. One of the few motels that have smoking rooms. For the price, it was fine. Good beds and cable tv. Room had a microwave and fridge. Get a room in the back, because the front faces the freeway.

Two gripes up front. Staff was not helpful or responsive to concerns. In fact, I would use the word “dismissive”. Definitely not hospitality oriented. Secondly, the parking lot is TINY and cramped. With little to no on street parking it makes for a frustrating experience. The recommendation here is to park your car (if you can) and walk, scooter or rideshare everywhere from there. Location is convenient. Right off the freeway, near to the Gaslamp and to Petco Park. The rooms are clean with amenities. For the price and location, if you’re spending most of your time away from a hotel room, this is the way to go. Just be prepared to not have the staff give a flip about what you need and to be extremely thankful once you find a parking place that gives you enough room to open your doors.

After paying over a hundred for the room via orbitz and card they still requested a $40 cash deposit and then they room key didn't work. Then checked the room before I got my deposit back. Felt very unwelcome. Plenty of other options in Downtown San Diego don't need to be treated like that.

Close to the freeway and shops and restaurants and beach

This property really surprised me. The location is super convenient to so many things downtown yet the price was much less than other local properties. The decor in the room was warm and inviting and the staff was really, really nice. I would certainly keep it in my back pocket for places in San Diego when I need to make a quick trip.

This place was a dump. They used so much air freshener it made us physically ill. Then as we were sleeping there was loud scratching in the walls and we realized that there were rats in the walls. Our phone didn't work either so anytime we needed anything we had to go downstairs to talk to the office. The phone probably didn't work because the rats chewed through the cords!!! It was a horrible experience. We asked for some type of refund and got nothing. Also, someone stayed with a dog and left the feces in the walkway by the elevator. Simply disgusting. It is not in a good part of town either. Lots of homeless people hanging around the block and general area.

Close to the freeway. Parking lot a bit hard to get out of.

The room smelt Lole weed. The smoke detector was broken the bathroom light was out

The bathroom door had a pinched hole which gave me the impression that the area or hotel was unsafe.

This hotel was very comfortable. They had obviously repapered and painted the room the carpet was in good condition sheets and bedspread were very clean. It had a nice refrigerator and microwave with a small in room coffee maker. The staff was very helpful and eager to make sure the rooms were clean and acceptable . My Uber driver told me the area has been really sketchy but in the past couple of years it has been improving. The hotel seem to be pretty busy, and the patrons all seemed pretty respectable . I was pleased and would stay there again.

My husband and I chose this hotel for it's location, which was walking distance to where I was working. The staff was very accommodating. The room was non-smoking but there was a slight odor of smoke, not enough to bother us. They have a good breakfast for this category of hotel. The neighborhood has a strong authentic Mexican character, which we enjoyed.

Hotel staff are very nice and friendly but my credit card was charged twice. Prepay through Orbitz and Hotel charge me a second time. Eventually the second charge was reversed and everything was ok but if you don't pay attention to your credit card statement you'll end up paying double. Parking lot is tiny, you'll have a hard time finding a parking spot and and if get lucky you'll find out you can't even open your door wide enough to get out of your vehicle.

Its a clean and well priced. It's close to downtown, and walking distance of some tourist attractions.

Great Service. Was able to check in earlier with no problem!!!

Okay, look why take my license plate number if you are not going to monitor your parking lot? Or why not have enough spaces for rooms? When I mentioned I couldn't park in the lot, got limpid response from desk clerk (Male. The young lady who checked me in was friendly, however). The only time I could park in the lot during my 3 day stay was when I checked in! Also, the sink in my room needed to be unclogged. When I ran water it drained slow and smelled so bad, that I eventually resorted to brushing my teeth in the shower.
