Just returned from a five day trip, including arrival date and departure date. There are plenty of activities for a short stay. The facility is beginning to look a little dated. Painters were present during the daytime and the beautiful thatched roofs on some of the buildings in the main complex will soon need replacement. Many beautiful fountains surround the facility although the one outside of our room complex was never turned on during our stay. They seem to cater two families, as there were always little ones running around and being loud. The one adult pool seemed inviting until we found out we had to have a VIP membership which we declined. Food was great! Only one breakfast place available for us "commoners". VIP had another breakfast option. Very friendly staff but not all of the visible people could speak English. Spa was outstanding.
Stayed in September with a friend and returned with husband for this trip. Pool area is beautiful, nice beach (except for all the dang seaweed). A lot of good choices to eat and the food is good. Great daily entertainment and entertainment staff. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that I could get an espresso or latte daily and is including with all inclusive. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept. My only complaint was that I asked for a room closer to the main lobby and pool since I was just there and they didn't seem interested to accommodate without a ridiculous increased fee per night.
Had a wonderful time at sapphire Lively crowd Great food Nice staff Spa was wonderful Would definately recommend
Facility was nice but old and outdated. Cleanliness was moderate. Needed paint and repair. Age was setting in. Grounds were old and overgrown. Staff was very nice and accommodating Food was moderate and quality was OK But not high end. If looking for HIGH END experience this is NOT the place. If value is your choice then this will work. Just know it's not 5 star. 2.5 to 3 at best
This was a fantastic resort. Clean, great food, and very friendly staff. Me and my wife would definetly return again.
we had a great time. the staff was super friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for us
Great staff. All around amazing. The employees really go out of there way to make sure you feel like you are home.
I would return to this resort no questions asked. The staff down there are so incredibly hard working and will do anything to accommodate their guests. Our room was always cleaned and we never went more than 5-7 min without being asked if we needed a other drink. The Now Sapphire entertainment team are outstanding. I wanna give a thanks to Dylan (entertainment), Mario (waiter), Maria (maid), and Carlos (bartender). Amazing staff I can't say enough about this resort I had one of the best vacations of my life.
Great food and staff. Resort is very clean and pool area is great! Only negative is that there is a lot of seaweed on the beach that staff cleans up daily. Overall great vacation! We would definitely go back!
We came for my 50th Birthday and one I will never forget. Ocean front room was beautiful. Staff at this Resort are excellent. All the Employees I came in contact with seem to love working at Now Saphire and happy to help you in anyway. We have been to Riviera Maya 23 x, this has been the best of all. Customer service Great, Food was really great, Entertainment was great, Kudos to the Activity staff to all the hours they put in to make this place so wonderful. The coco cafe is lovely since it is open 24 7. Had a relaxing massage and facial which was superb. We did an excursion a boat ride up to maroma beach area did some snorkeling had lunch the beaches are so beautiful. We also did the bike ride to Puerto Morelos that was a lot of fun and relaxing. The restaurant CIBU was my favorite we also loved the buffet. We really loved all of it. Grounds are very well kept, water fountains and walkways are great. I would like to Thank all the employees I really loved all of you. I felt like I was in Paradise.
Beautiful resort. Close to the beach , restaurants are great I will be going back.
lovely room on the beach. Beach access from the room felt limited due to no way to lock the patio door after exiting that way. Also, the A/C struggled to keep up. Other than those issues the experience was fantastic..The staff was attentive and very pleasant.
This is our second time at the resort and it was unbelievable. The staff was incredible and the food was excellent
Pros: pool very large with floats and swim up bar. Staff was extremely friendly, the service at the restaurants was great! Cons: beds were not too comfortable, not enough entertainment... I would stay here again. Spent 6 nights and enjoyed it! Beach bar was very fun with swing seats and the beach was nice.
Excellent Hotel. Very clean, they take pride in maintaining the grounds. The staff is very attentive to detail, an example is if you finish your drink at a restaurant they are already bringing you another one. The rooms are very clean and well maintained
We just returned last night from a 5 night stay at Now Sapphire. We had an amazing time. The food was good, the staff was so attentive and the facilities were fantastic. The spa was wonderful...Iran gives a great deep tissue massage and the hydrotherapy was very relaxing. We upgraded our room to one on the beach with a jacuzzi on our lanai and were SO happy that we did. We were ~40 feet from the surf and could hear the waves crashing from our room. Amazing! The only complaint we had was the hard sell as soon as we got there to join their "VIP" program and come to a sales breakfast. They need to cut that out as it is very annoying. Otherwise our trip was wonderful and we will go back!
We just love this property. We've been to 6 resorts on the Riviera Maya and this one is at the top of the list. We opted for the Preferred Room which was well worth the extra money.
This hotel is a good value...but I will forewarn you-- you get what you pay for. We had several issues with our trip. We were there for a 5 day stay for my husbands and I anniversary. We requested a King size bed on three separate occasions of talking with the hotel prior to arrival and were told each time that was no problem and that it would be noted. Upon arrival to the hotel--we get a double bed room. I talked with the staff and they said they would move us to a king room--so I thought everything was settled...but when we get to our room- guess what double beds! At that point I was frustrated with the situation so we just kept the room. We were also asked to provide our marriage certificate upon check in to prove we were there celebrating our anniversary (to note our anniversary package) which I feel is a little much but even with that they did nothing to recognize our anniversary until day 3 of our 5 day vacation and that was only recognized when concierge called to ask us how our stay was going. Also, be aware they will try to haggle you when you arrive to attend a time-share type presentation--trust me don't do--it isn't worth it. We spent most of our sunny day on that tour to be lied to..but that is another story since they claim to be another company I will leave that out of this review. As for the hotel, the room was clean, neat, and what you would expect for a normal hotel room. The pool was nice but everyone hogged floats and chairs so be prepared. The food was mediocre at best. The nightly shows we attended were good. The spa was very nice but very much overpriced. Overall we made the best of vacation and had a great time. The bar staff at the pool bar and the nightclub are great and very fun! We met many friends during our stay and overall had a great time despite the few set-backs mentioned above.
The hotel was not what we thought we were getting. Our first morning we were hounded very bad to buy excursions from the hotel staff, it was very offensive and didn't give us the feel that we were on vacation. We wanted to go on some excursions, but didn't want to be haggled about it. For this reason we will not stay here again. Lots of mishaps on this trip, yes the hotel can't control Mother Nature, but we wanted room service one evening and they gave us the run around since it was raining. We made a request for the mini bar and what we requested didn't happen, they actually left less of what we asked for. The package read gratuity and taxes included, but if you don't tip everyone you encounter the service got worse. The room was decent, our complaint on the room we had was, the towels were like sand paper, and pillows were horrible. We read in the hotel book you could have better pillows if you become a preferred customer. This is ridiculous and we felt like our stay here was nothing but an opportunity to take advantage of innocent tourists.
This vacation served several purposes. We attended our niece's Wedding and the buffet, service and atmosphere was just beautiful! It was also our 1 year Anniversary and just by mentioning it they surprised us with a bottle of Champagne in our room and a cute sachet on our door during our stay. The food was great, the staff was absolutely amazing, super courteous, friendly and fun. :) I gave 4 stars to location because the beach was full of sea weed due to weather conditions that brought it all on shore but the pools made up for it. We took a horseback ridding tour there too the staff was fun and friendly. We also drove to the inner city in Cancun for souvenirs at a place called Mercado 28 best place to shop- cheap cheap authentic Mexican souvenirs! Wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend.
