We loved this hotel/all-inclusive. The food was amazing. Delicious and great selection for all tastes. Rooms were very nice and the grounds were nicely kept. The beach was beautiful. Staff beleive in customer service.

This hotel was wonderful. Staff was great, food was great and room was pristine. No complaints at all! Made the honeymoon even nicer.

Had a great stay at EDSS. Food was EXCELLENT for an AI. It is about an hour and 15 minutes south of the airport, so book private transportation.

Just the right balance of authenticity and comfort. The food stands out as excellent for an all-inclusive. The staff was eager to please and when we left we knew that we would miss some of the kind people we met. There are bars everywhere. The beach was nice and very clean and the water was comfortable to be in because there are walls that break the waves before that reach the shore. Constructive criticism would be that the pools felt exclusive, like if you weren't in the right building maybe you might not feel comfortable using any of the pools. And the WiFi service, for which there is an extra charge, is not at all reliable.

This resort is amazing, beautiful setting, amazing rooms and some of the best food and service I have ever received. The swim up rooms are wonderful, to bad the water was way too cold to swim. So much sun, I'm sure they could have used a solar panel or two. Don't miss this resort, it's breathtaking.

we went for our anniversary and it was the perfect location. they have daybeds and beach chairs all over the property - both beach and pool. very relaxing hotel. only thing i would have liked to see is free wifi at least in the lobby, you had to buy a card to use the hotel internet with a very slow connection.

Everything was fantastic at the resort. It was very clean and the staff was all friendly. The beach was the best we have ever seen. We always vacation at Sandals so to compare I would say Eldorado Seasides price is about half, the beach and staff is a lot better, the rooms are more plush and the overall experience is better. The only thing it lacks is better nightly entertainment. The food is very good but you will not know what you are ordering by the menu but dont worry they have 24 hour room service with beef burgers and coke light haha they dont know what ham burgers and diet coke are. Everything was great except we chose the wrong airline DO NO use US Airways unless you want to be stranded everywhere with NO help. I highly suggest you consider this resort. I know my advice on this resort seems simple but it is this easy, The staff does everything for you. Hold out your hand and you have a drink. O and most of the people at this resort are from England and are very friendly also.

We were there from 2/20-2/26. The resort is the perfect size - not so small that you don't have enough food choices, not so big that you're overwhelmed with people and the sheer size of the place. It has a small hotel vibe with big hotel services. The staff is super friendly (tip them for every meal and drink - most people don't but they really appreciate it). We have stayed there twice and both times received excellent service, despite them having to cut back on staff and reduce their pay to weather the recession. The rooms are quite nice, setup like townhomes with exterior entrances and they all face the ocean - which you can't really because of all the palm trees, but if the waves are up you can hear them from your room, which is nice. If you like to snorkel, their beach is great for that but unfortunately on this trip, it was rather windy night and day, so the visibility was poor and the surfline wasn't confined to the reef - white caps and choppy water every day ruled out most water sports. Fortunately, Xel-Ha Park is a short trip away and they are in a protected inlet which has superb snorkeling. The hotel is within 15-30 minutes from virtually everything - Tulum, Playa Del Carmen, Xel-Ha, Akumel Bay etc. so it's the perfect locale for exploring the best parts of Riviera Maya. Recommend a rental car so you can move about on your schedule. Taxi's are expensive so it's well worth paying just a bit more for your own car. The food is mostly all quite good - "Gourmet" might be pushing it, but they do a very nice job with most everything except the asian food, IMHO. TIP: if you like tequila, they used to have Don Julio on the bar shelf. Now they stash it so you have to ask. If they actually run out, which happened one day, they do have a 100% Agave tequila on the shelf that isn't too bad. But if you just ask for a margarita you won't get it unless you specify it. Your body will thank you in the morning. Overall, despite the minor cutbacks since our last visit in 2008, the resort is terrific! We'll be back again, I am sure!

This resort is extremely romantic and more secluded than most others. The beach is beautiful with comfortable beach beds and chairs. Very relaxing! The staff is accomodating to any request although there was a little language barrier sometimes. We had such a wonderful time and would recommend it for honeymooners or couples!

The staff at this hotel went above and beyond to make this a great experience. They wanted our stay to be perfect and I really appreciated that. They hosted a great New Year's party on the beach that I won't soon forget.

After arriving to Cancun, the shuttle driver took my boyfriend and I to El Dorado Seaside. The drive was a little over an hour and we were greeted by the front staff. The lady handed me a registration form to fill out. The manager came over and sat down and infoed us that he had some good news and some bad news. He proceeded to tell us that they were overbooked by 10% and did not have a room available for us. We could wait to see if they have a cancellation. We arrived around 6:30pm on December 27th. He offered us a room at their sister resort which was only "25 minutes" away. We were hestant to accept the offer because we did not do any research on the the resort. The manager tried to bring up reviews on the Internet but he was able to because the connection was too slow. He blamed it on being out in the jungle. A couple arrived shortly after we did and they were able to check in without any problems. This was very unacceptable for this establishment to advise us that a room that we booked and paid for was unavailable. If this was th case we should've been told prior instead of spending over 2 hours in the car. The 25 minutes turned out to be 45 minutes. I would not recommend this resort due to the lack of organization and lack of customer service.

The property & experience were great overall. The room was lacking quality. We stayed in a garden view suite. The pools weren't heated which made swimming a very cold experience in December. The linens and towels were rough. The screen door to the balcony was falling off it's track. Our toilet broke twice. That said, we didn't spend that much time in the room that it ruined the trip. The staff/service was excellent. The restaurants were great; our favorites were Vida, Mia Casa and La Careta. Our stay at the El Dorado Royale was superior to this property in every way.

The staff was great and often to help in anyway. The resort was one of the best decor we have ever seen. The coconut trees are everywhere and give shade on the beach when you need. The beach beds are a neat touch.

Just to be clear, I have never written a review in my entire life for anything. But this stay was simply so overwhelmingly perfect that I had to sign on and tell people. The bottom line is that we were treated like a King and Queen all week. We stayed in the Ocean Front Seaside Suite and it was just flawless inside. Our room was huge and the comfort was over the top. We also got the honeymoon package free because we brought our wedding certificate. The service was just impeccable: everyone knew our name, the room was always tended to quickly, the waiters and groundskeepers were like family. The food was just great and so were the drinks. Like with any food, there were things we didn't like but it was just because we tried something new. The quality of the food was always top notch. It seems like everyday we found something that surprised us with how awesome it was. I would say that it is perfect for honeymooning couples who are looking for romance, quiet, and comfort. There aren't a million activities to do here but that isn't what we wanted. I had only one suggestion to the staff, that they get a better website! Because if they would show everything we experienced on the website they would have far more guests! I had to purchase based solely on the website and I was pleased with what I saw but when I arrived they easily blew my expectations out of the water. I could not more highly recommend this place to anyone.

excellent food & service, beautiful grounds, peaceful and relaxing, wonderful management

Hotel was under updated construction . My room was right next to the work being done. It would of been nice if I would ok known . I would of stayed someplace else. The hotel and service was great however.

It was a great experience at Seaside suites. The only downfall was we upgraded to the swim up pool and there was construction Monday-Saturday 8am-6pm on the rooms right behind our swim up. We had a great time!

When we first checked in they gave us keys to a room that was occupied and needless to say the couple looked a little surprised when we walked in. We also received two double beds versus a king. That was just the beginning. We had 3 other couples with us and all the dining areas were not able to accomodate us together. I received food poisoning from the Asian restaraunt. I could not recommend this property to a friend.

We loved our vacation at Seaside Suites. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The staff were amazing, and always waiting on you or picking up after you to make you feel comfortable. For the most part we never felt congested. There was only a wait at one of the restaurants, but they made you very comfortable at the bar making you high end martini's or whatever you'd like. All the restaurants were of high quality. There was construction going on while we were staying there, which made you feel a little more like you were at home than on a tranquil beach, but it was easily gotten over. I did have a bad experience with a male staff member from the spa who provided a less than therapeutic massage for A LOT of money. BUT after stating my complaint to the concierge, they provided me with another 90 minutes of absolute heaven. Very easy to check in and check out. They also provided a quality travel/activities company for all our excursions.

The room was really clean, everyone was really nice , the beach was great. We had a great time

"right sized" resort, great location

Couples

We were there from 2/20-2/26. The resort is the perfect size - not so small that you don't have enough food choices, not so big that you're overwhelmed with people and the sheer size of the place. It has a small hotel vibe with big hotel services. The staff is super friendly (tip them for every meal and drink - most people don't but they really appreciate it). If you like to snorkel, their beach is great for that but unfortunately on this trip, it was rather windy night and day, so the visibility was poor and the surfline wasn't confined to the reef - white caps and choppy water every day ruled out most water sports.
