In town for a quick sporting event. I enjoy the larger room and kitchen features that this hotel offers. Quick access to highway and downtown via I-64. Plently of food choices nearby. Room was clean, but lobby and common areas/hallways were dirty throughout our stay. Website says breakfast is included, but only breakfast options were packaged oatmeal or granola bars. Staff was friendly. Would stay again.
I really enjoyed staying here the service was good things were clean and value was good. The only thing that really affected my sleep was the super loud noisey heater. If you’re a lighter sleep maybe not the best fit. Otherwise a good deal.
This extended stay has been nothing but good to me! It's clean and located in a mutual location for my family and myself. I have nothing but great thinges to say about this Extended Stay! Hopefully this hotel brand will expand to other areas of Richmond's surrounding counties. Make sure you hire another winning team like this one and you are guaranteed business!
I've stayed at this chain in several locations, and it's always consistent. On a recent visit to Richmond, I had a pleasant stay here. I'm giving this one an excellent, primarily because the hotel staff seemed understanding--even though I was pretty cranky upon check-in. I liked the clean rooms, the strong showerheads, and the nice people. However, I thought the furniture was a bit dated, and the breakfast was minimal. This chain should probably stop telling people that it has a breakfast, because they don't even have fresh fruit at this point. I do like their coffee, because they have the creamer I prefer. The nicest mall in the area is nearby, and it has a Cheesecake Factory. Overall, my visit was good.
This hotel was terrible, leaking sinks, stove top not working, no breakfast as they said they would, noise all the time, barking animals, running kids, garbage stinks, always out of stuff just horrible service
Bathroom including bathtub was not clean. Window was wide open when I got to my room. Foul odor in the hallways. Requested utensils but did not receive them. Night time front desk rep was hardly at the desk
Very clean, spacious and quiet. I needed a place to crash for the night and catch up on some work. I was treated well before and after my stay, and I look forward to another visit. BYOC (Bring Your Own Coffee).
I booked 5 rooms: 3 Deluxe Studios with 2 double beds and sleeper sofa (for 6 people each) and 2 Deluxe Studios with 1 queen bed and sleeper sofa (for 4 people). When we checked-in, I was informed that they had overbooked and that they only had 1 out of the 3 Deluxe Studios with 2 double beds and sleeper sofa. Getting a bit angry since this is the second hotel during this trip that didn't get the booking right, I left it up to the receptionist how to solve this problem. He offered the 1 with 2 double beds and sleeper sofa for 6 people and 5 of the 1 queen bed and sleeper sofa + 1 extra single room for myself for the same price as the original booking. Not a problem. Then I called the front desk to ask how I can call another room. He said that he was new and he didn't know. Huh? He didn't know? Really? Then I asked where the ice machines were. He said that there were no ice machines...that this is what the fridge in the room was for. Good answer, although that didn't help me at all since I just got to the room. The rooms were inconsistent. My room was great. Comfortable bed, sofa, clean kitchen, clean toilet...although the closet door consisted of a dark blue sheet nailed to the corners of the closet. The deluxe studio with 2 double beds and a sleep sofa didn't have a sleep sofa. We had to put the sheets on the sleep sofas ourselves. The wifi connection was pretty good. All in all, our stay could have been a disaster but it turned out ok.
We were traveling to this area and stayed at this hotel. It was disgusting because it had big wads of hair in the bathroom floor and had not been cleaned. Mildew on the shower curtains. The room was nasty. RUDE customer service - or actually NO customer service. We wanted to check in 1 hour early and was told it would be a $28 charge. We were staying 3 nights. Ridiculous. They did have coffee, but no creamer, not even the powdery dry kind. My daughter called today to just check on their early check in fee and was told it was about $5 or $10. Sounds like a front desk scam to me.....
OK. Saying this hotel is one step above homeless is probably an exaggeration. However, there are good reasons why this hotel is rated as one of the worst in Glen Allen, Virginia. My elderly parents recently stayed here. The room was poorly stocked with almost no cooking pots and utensils. Management was unresponsive and housekeeping was extremely sporadic. Yes. This hotel is very cheap for the area. There's a good reason for that. Pay a few more dollars and state candlewood suites.
