"The property is beautiful, and the landscaping is breathtaking. The lagoon is outstanding for snorkeling. The coffee shop in the ocean tower was outstanding. Great coffee and amazing service. They open at 6, and be prepared to wait in line. The main pool had so many cabanas to rent and not enough lounge chairs during a busy spring break week. Pool bathrooms appeared messy and smelly during peak times of the day. It’s been 30 years since we’ve visited this resort, and sad to say there hasn’t been any updates or modernization to their rooms or common areas. We remembered this resort as a luxurious and opulent place, but it now appears tired and out of date. It is true that there is an incredible amount of walking, but we didn’t mind the exercise. Parking a car cost $55/day, so factor that in to your car rental expenses. Overall, we would return because we love Waikoloa, and you can’t beat the location. The price is more affordable here than neighboring resorts. And, there’s dolphins ❤️."

"Beautiful property with something for everyone. Great access to the beach, lagoon where you can snorkel and swim with turtles, and so so many pools. Property is well maintained and easy to get around in. When booking note that each “tower” has its own pools or restaurants right by it-while it’s easy to get from one area to another it is worth noting which is closer to the facilities you think you will use more.
My only tiny con is that I wish there were more dinner and breakfast options and the food is very pricey. If you can add a food/drinks plan it’s well worth it. Nothing that would stop me from coming back though! "
