I gave 5 Stars for the Housekeeping they clean our bedroom great despite of the place outdated. The sink always make an awful noise every time the water drains and it makes noise like “burping”.

Unfortunately, during the first part of my stay, I noticed that the Hilton posted a pending charge to my card for the amount that I had already paid Expedia for (I had prepaid a large portion of my stay to Expedia). Concerned that I was being double-charged, I went to the Front Desk and showed the clerk the Expedia receipt and the response was that it was a problem between me and Expedia. I demanded to know if Expedia had made any advance payment to Hilton as my receipt suggested. I got no answer and she called the manager. A few hours later, she informed me that the manager said the pending charge for the amount of what I had already paid Expedia for was taken off. I checked my credit card transactions and the amount that I had prepaid Expedia was taken off. Inexplicably, two days later, the amount that I paid Expedia was once again posted on my credit card transactions. At that point, I decided not to worry about it until after my vacation. About 4 days after I checked out of the Hilton, the charge for the prepaid amount that I had paid Expedia was removed from my credit card and the final amount charged by the Hilton reflected what I owed it. I’ve been a long time user of Expedia and this is the first time that this strange billing has ever happened. I’m disappointed with both Expedia and Hilton. I assume Expedia refers many customers to the Hilton chain. Please communicate with each other about billing practices and inform customers about what to expect.

The room was great - beautiful view and cleaned daily. The monorail broke down a few times and was very slow. Restaurants were few and closed early. Only 1 breakfast place and the buffet was way over priced for options/quality. The coffee shops were always lined up as there was only 2 for the whole resort. For a resort - they lacked enough water rentals amenities and activities.

This is a large Hilton complex with the Ocean Tower being a long way from the main lobby. Once you get your bearings it turns out to be about a 12 minute walk between the two. There is a tram to take you around, but if your luck is like mine, just as you walk up to the loading platform the tram is just taking off. You had better like the sound of chirping birds. And I’m not talking a few birds, it has to be many hundreds of them. I found the staff to be very nice and helpful. The view from my room was awesome with the ocean being in the background. Lots of nice paths near the ocean to walk.

We had a terrible experience at the Hilton. The hotel reception didn't provide clear directions to our room, so we ended up roaming the building with 2 young kids and luggage 🙄. The tram schedule was awful - only every 30-40 minutes, and with repairs, there was no reliable schedule. Hilton, you can do better!

Breakfast was at a little cafe next to the Ocean Tower check in (not buffet). There were 4 food options we could choose from - it was ok for the adults, but the kids weren't particularly excited about it. Room was as advertised. 2 double beds (not queen beds). Balcony was nice, overlooking the bridge to one of the pools. The water slide at Ocean Tower was small but the kids still had fun. The Ocean Tower is the furthest away from the guest parking. Expect a 15-20 min walk. There is a tram that runs from the Makai (park close to the tennis court) that will take you to the Ocean Tower. However, it is slower to take the tram than it is to walk! You'll definitely get your steps in at this resort.

Service was bad. Started with them not giving waters as promised. When asked for towels and shower caps. Did not get it that day. Then next day had to call again. The tram and boat were not working most of the time and we had to lug around our bags. The bag folks would not turn up on time. Overall the folks at front desk and valet were not very friendly. They did not seem like they were there to help. Everything was “ we are sorry for the inconvenience “. We have paid enough money to expect good / excellent service. Not sure how this will be compensated

We got the partial ocean view which was ok. The hotel room was very old and carpet was not clean and drapes had dirt and looked bad. The breakfast option at the Waikoloa Coffee was a waste since there are not a lot of options to choose from and the items got over. I couldn't use the coupons for all the 5 days.

I love the Ocean tower at Waikoloa. The thing that we were upset about is that we payed $35 for what turned out to be a breakfast with very limited choices and a very long line. The price of the items we received was $10 less than if we had paid directly, and wasn't what we even wanted. We had called Expedia to try to get a refund immediately after we purchased it because it then showed us the breakfast choices and they weren't good for us, and the guy at Expedia said that we hadn't paid for the breakfast yet and if we didn't get the breakfast we wouldn't be charged that $35. That turned out to be a lie. Very disappointing, especially the lie.

The view was great, enjoyed seeing the ocean and all of the wildlife around the resort. The balcony was kinda small, but two of us could sit and enjoy. The distances between the various places was extreme. We had to take the tram, which meant a lot of waiting, but at least they had a tram. The distance to drag your luggage was difficult, to say the least. The staff were all friendly, the lagoon was fun and the food was good. The feeling was over the top as far as how grand it looked. The guests all seemed happy and enjoying.
