This was our first time staying at the Ocean Tower and it was great! It was farther from the lobby, but very convenient for the lower pool, the sunset and the gym. We checked in with a very friendly employee and everyone was kind and welcoming. We had a great time.

Transportation was down so a half mile walk was needed to get to the main lobby. Van service provided as an alternative didn't take luggage. Extremely slow check in. Water in handicap shower flowed into main bath area.

The property is beautiful, and the landscaping is breathtaking. The lagoon is outstanding for snorkeling. The coffee shop in the ocean tower was outstanding. Great coffee and amazing service. They open at 6, and be prepared to wait in line. The main pool had so many cabanas to rent and not enough lounge chairs during a busy spring break week. Pool bathrooms appeared messy and smelly during peak times of the day. It’s been 30 years since we’ve visited this resort, and sad to say there hasn’t been any updates or modernization to their rooms or common areas. We remembered this resort as a luxurious and opulent place, but it now appears tired and out of date. It is true that there is an incredible amount of walking, but we didn’t mind the exercise. Parking a car cost $55/day, so factor that in to your car rental expenses. Overall, we would return because we love Waikoloa, and you can’t beat the location. The price is more affordable here than neighboring resorts. And, there’s dolphins ❤️.

We liked the ocean view and beautiful scene!

We had an amazing stay here. The front desk staff was always helpful and we really did have a pleasant stay. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

Terrible old smelly rooms

Beautiful property. Great service.

I have stayed at this resort 3 or 4 times.

Great property for families. The only thing I wish that they had more of is, restaurants.

Located on the bay surrounded by native vegetation.

it is fine

Excellent views and lots of pool and lounging space. Amenities like coffee and food were severely lacking if they were even open (and extremely overpriced even by resort standards). The room we were in was rough- old, damaged furniture and the carpet was pretty off-putting for what you pay and would expect at a nice Hawaii resort - I do understand they are the process of updating the rooms (ours was not). Pros - lots of open space and scenic views. Negatives - amenities and number of staff lacking. No room service option.

Many areas are in a state of disrepair.
