We stayed at the hotel last summer when we came to drop our son to the college and we were so happy with our stay that we decided to choose it this time as well. Spacious room, great location, warm and friendly staff makes it a great place to stay. Loved our stay here.

My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn for one night. Due to spousal snoring, I prefer a suite with a door between the bedroom and living area, so when my husband is evicted from bed, he has a place to go with a sound buffer between the two of us. This is not an easy find in the world of hotels. Hence, we chose this property. The front desk person was very nice and professional upon check in. He was actually surprised we were checking out the very next day. He said the typical guest stay is five months or so. As the name states it is a "Residence Inn". The hotel has a shuttle and a driver took us to our dinner destination that evening. It was not offered, but when our friends checked in, they asked about the service and were promised a ride. That was a very welcome surprise. We took a Lyft back to the hotel after dining. A breakfast was included, but my husband went for coffee and reported that the offerings were not all that enticing, so we went elsewhere for breakfast. I am all but OCD when it comes to cleanliness and I was impressed with the housekeeping at this hotel! I am often disappointed and grossed out. There was not a single hair as is too often the case (gross) or a dust or lint ball to be found upon entering our room. I was very, very pleased. The property appears to have been recently renovated as all furnishings were up to date and in very good condition. The room had a kitchen and dinette, which we did not need, a desk and chair, also not necessary for our needs, a sofa and television in the living room, a bedroom also with a television, a vanity area and a separate room with the shower/tub and toilet. There was a full closet in the bedroom and a smaller foyer closet as well. Of course dressers and night tables were provided as well. Everything one would need for a longer stay could be found. The hotel is equipped with an indoor pool, billiards table, a small fitness center and laundry facilities. Outside, I saw a basketball court. These are the amenities I saw at a glance. The reason I was not too excited about staying at the Residence Inn for only one night, is that the property fails to give off that hotel, vacation, getaway vibe. It lacks a proper, full sized lobby, a bar, restaurant, etc. It feels more like a low rise apartment building actually. The purpose of our stay was to meet another couple for dinner in the area to celebrate a birthday .They chose to stay at this hotel as well, so we could all be together. We brought a bottle of Proseco with us and some snacks for the four of us to have in our room. It would surely have been more fun and festive in a bar with staff, other people, music, etc. That is what this property lacked and I understand why they do not provide these amenities. Additionally, there are no robes or slippers, shower caps, cotton balls, q-tips, etc. available for use as in many other hotels. Again, I understand the reasons for these decisions as the bulk of the business comes from long stays and those people have their own items. In summary, if you are going to be in the area for a bit of time, or just desire the plentiful and convenient accommodations of an apartment versus a typical hotel room, stay at the Marriott Residence Inn. Just for a night or two, I personally, would prefer a true hotel experience.

Very nice place to stay. We were up for two nights visiting friends. We had a King Suite and appreciated the extra space. Great value considering the other hotels in the area charge the same for a smaller room. Having a full kitchen, couch was nice to have to relax not having to sit on the bed to stretch out.

Clean room. Plenty of kitchen supplies plates, cups, knives, forks, microwave, refrigerator, stove. Parking on site, outside. friendly staff. We stayed here for a sporting event at Mid Hudson Civic Center, a short drive back and forth to arena.Oddly, I can not click on the buttons below re: Hotel Ratings

We stayed 1 night in the 2 bedroom suite. The pics showed it with a fireplace, which I was looking forward to, but ours did not have the fireplace. I thought my suite should have been less money because it didn't have the fireplace. Overall it was clean and comfortable. The lobby was pretty cold to hang out in. The breakfast was very good.

The room was a very nice, clean, 2 bedroom suite. Just what we needed for family time. The front desk clerk was very friendly and accommodating. We got to town early and she did her best to get us in our room early. Breakfast had a lot of choices. For the first time in all of my travels we had to call the front desk at 2:30 am because of loud music and yelling. There was also a lot of noise past midnight. I would stay again, but would ask for a top floor room.

Room is nice enough. Staff are great. Another reviewer mentioned flies... I had to kill several in my room. Breakfast is fair. I have no idea what was going on in the parking lot, but there seemed to be more people wandering around and parked cars running with their light on every night than could be accounted for by guests just coming and going. On the plus side, if you have business at the IBM Executive Briefing Center, it's very well-placed. On the minus side, unless you're a Christian, you have more than a little to ignore. As I rode the elevator, Christian rock "entertained" me to my destination. KJV Bibles occupy the bed stand ... no Bhagavad Gita, no Book of Mormon, no Origin of the Species, etc. Clearly, Christian guests are preferred at the expense of making others uncomfortable.

Great clean hotel friendly staff spacious rooms great place for groups lots of space to have get togethers in your room. Two bedroom units have two baths lots of privacy for two couples. Very close to culinary institute of america vassar and marist colleges

Check in was a breeze. Room and bed were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was ample with juice, coffee, waffles, cheeses, eggs, pastries etc. Luna's Pizza has quick delivery. Need to use the exit to the north if you want options to go north or south.

This property is conveniently located and has a nice large sign so you cant pass it. A large 4 floor Residence Inn (new style) with the inside hallways. Patio and tennis court out front. Greeted and welcomed about 6 pm, room was ready. The majority of the Residence Inns that I have stayed in have either a light happy hour or coffee bar this one has neither. Marriott members do not get bottled water. This is not a new property and the carpets are about ready for a redo but the hotel upon entry was clean. The hallways themselves have a lot of garbage disposed on in the hallways from dinner and shopping. Need a night person to just keep up on the garbage that accumulates in the hallways. Off the lobby is a sitting area with a fireplace and a few tables. Down the hall is a pool table room 21 and above, nice size swimming pool with a hot tub, next room houses a small workable fitness room. Elevators further down the hallway. There are multiple entry's from both the front and back parking lot which makes in convenient as the hallways are long. Room was on 4th floor and at the end of the hallway, room was a studio which was clean, small kitchen area with a full size refrigerator and stove/oven, fully stocked with everything needed to cook a meal with a service for four, Living room has a couch, end tables and lamps, coffee table , flat screen TV with cable box so a lot of channels. Bedroom, includes nice queen bed, flat screen TV and night stands with lamps. Off the bedroom is a vanity sink area, and then a closed door with shower, tub bad toilet. Over nice room, and kept clean. And now why I have mixed reviews, I kept hearing fly's but never really saw any at night but I did notice a couple dead on the window sill when I closed the blinds, but to tired to deal with ti so went to bed and slept good. Come AM, went to use the bathroom, opened the door and the bathroom must have had 50 fly's. I promptly closed the bathroom door and went downstairs in search of bug spray as I really didn't want to pack everything up. The lady at the front desk, no name tag but she was very nice and called housekeeping and maintenance, after several minutes the result was no bug spray and I would have to move rooms. Only they were sold out and the only clean available room was a 2 bedroom on floor 2 room 204, again end of hallway, I say that as if you don't or can't walk far, really ask for a room close by the elevator hallway as it is a hike.. Room was clean, same setup with kitchen and living and then 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms neither with fly's so I was good and at this point even with the flays I would have rated the hotel a strong 4 as the no name tag lady was nice. went down to breakfast about 9:15, breakfast is served till 9:30 am but due to my fly problem I was later than I would have wanted to be. Well the down wood rating starts, no plates, no pastry, bread, muffins, fruit, waffle mix, so i asked. Was told breakfast items were out and they don't refill as it is to late, I reminded the lady that the sign posted at the entry clearly says till 9:30 am, but I was told that means that you must be finished by 9:30 am and not that food and beverage is available until 9:30 am, and the proof was that the juice machine was turned off. UGH, really! I had noticed a few stores when I pulled in the night before so I ventured across the parking lot and found a Starbucks which I now had to spend $18.00 for coffee, juice and a muffin for breakfast, damn fly's! Good location, lots of restaurants nearby and a fabulous frozen yogurt shop next to the Starbucks, picked up some dinner and frozen yogurt went back to hotel, cook and relax. Now the 1 star reason - Loaded up my car, left my frozen yogurt in the freezer, along with a few leftover dinner items in fridge, did not check out. Went back to room to leave the room attendant a tip and gather my food, time gone less than 10 minutes went into room and my yogurt bag was on the counter and the leftover food and full frozen yogurt was gone, Inquired with maid in hallway she no speaks English. Went to front desk and the lovely no name tag lady called housekeeping, 15 minutes later my yogurt showed up delivered by a very rude guy who said it was moved to another rooms freezer and I must have misplaced it as he has no idea how it go there. Do no trust anything in your room, lock everything up as people are watching you and see when you leave your room and then the thief's enter and steal your items, even with the do not disturb sign on the door. Trust no one except the nice no name tag lady at the front desk. Thieves will always get a 1 from me as there is nothing lower, safety and security are prime concern just not at this Residence Inn.
