This was our second time staying here, and we was a little disappointed. The front desk was very polite and professional. We thought housekeeping could have done a better job of cleaning our room, as the tub was not cleaned. The beds were kind of hard to sleep on. Unfortunately, there were a lot of people who stayed there this past weekend, so getting breakfast in the morning was a challenge. The hotel is in a good spot close to shops and restaurants. Overall, the hotel could use some upgrades, but is decent enough if visiting the area.

I was in town for a friend's wedding with my wife and friend. The hotel was very nice for the one night. The bed was comfortable and from what my friend said the pull out was comfortable as well. Overall a good hotel.

I'v relocated from Northern Virginia for a work related Government assignment for the Summer of 2017. Jeanette of Marriot was very welcoming to myself and my superior upon arrival and since. Daily breakfast is plentiful and Mon, Tue, Wed evenings there is some chow offerings which we partake of. Indoor pool is sufficient that opens up to a patio grilling area with chaise lounges - a putting green and basketball hoop. Parking is always free and available. I have two more months to go - Keep Up the good work Residence Inn Poughkeepsie Marriot!

We were treated to an upgrade which was a pleasant surprise given the late hour of our check-in. Thank you for that! The room was clean with the exception of a broken cabinet doors in the kitchen (shabby) and a huge disturbing stain on the bathroom rug. I put a towel over it and things were fine. We were comfortable and the popcorn in the room is an excellent touch. Breakfast (I had eggs) was eh, cold and rubbery but I guess I could have opted for the carb fest of waffles, fruit, oatmeal and toast which all looked good. The coffee was very good.

Average sums it up. Room was ok, staff friendly. Pool area was badly used by a group ( family? ) of 8 to 10 kids who were unsupervised and running all over. This is difficult for the staff to control, but nonetheless expected by the other paying customers. Would not be inclined to return.

The Inn is set back from Route 9 and a short walk away from a Starbucks and a Japanese restaurant. Every business one could want is on Route 9 so that's a plus if one needs things. The location is about 10-12 minutes from the Culinary Institute, which is where we had an excellent dinner (review of American Bounty is elsewhere). The room was a standard king-bed studio. The only issue is the weird placement of the room's HVAC right next to the bed--this is characteristic of Residence Inn king studios. Price is reasonable.

I picked this hotel because of the amenities and the location, central for our travels. The staff allowed us to have rooms across the hall from each other. The rooms were spacious and clean. The king studio kitchenettes had full size appliances. The indoor pool and spa were clean and we enjoyed our evening splash.

The staff is friendly and are willing to help you. The Hotel overall looks clean. They offer breakfast for patrons, but things are missing, that a frequent customer at Residence Inns have come to expect, such as small cartons of milk (to take back to room to eat breakfast in the room), flavored creamers, mixed fruit bowl, individualized breakfast syrup containers, trays in breakfast room to take food back to room, mini-muffins of various varieties for those who would like to eat something other than bread or crossiants, fresh fruit other than bananas, breakfast potatoes of any kind, The breakfast room is smallish, and patrons kept on bumping into each other when trying to take food. The pool, especially the whirlpool were not clean, and you could see a cloud in the water. When something was said to management about it, nothing was done to remedy it. The tennis court could not be found, although it is . Communication between departments is not what it should be. For example, I said something to the front desk about the lack of an additional roll of toilet paper, and, that I had go out and look for one in the hotel. The message got back to the floor housekeeper, was that we were not satisfied with the job housekeeping was doing. That was not true, yet the housekeeper introduced herself in the hallway, telling me what I had supposedly told the front desk. I found myself explaining to her that I had only mentioned that there was only a small 3/4 used roll of toilet paper, and that another roll should be left in the room. Overall, it was awkward talking to the housekeeper. Overall this hotel was relatively clean (except for the whirlpool), and the breakfast was adequate, but did not measure up to Residence Inn standards. (I should mention that when I asked the manager of the breakfast room about this, the next morning, he had purchased a container of milk , and blueberry muffins in a box, for us. This was very nice, and appreciated, but the availability of these type of things should be standard throughout Marriott Residence Inns, so that travelers are not disappointed in the first place.

The room was not clean , yes the bathroom was and the Bed was fine . But the room was not vacuumed well . Like stated by another review the room was not fresh . The breakfast was poor. Not a good selection and stale bread . On top of all this the staff was cold and not friendly . This Hotel has issues , most likely just poor management . Do yourself a favor and find a different place .

I have high expectations for Marriott Hotels and feel this one is just ok. Something about the room wasn't quite fresh, tv reception not great, previous guest's swim bottoms on the back of the bathroom door.
