Stayed here while on business trip. Good Residence Inn on par with other RI's. Everything was clean, well maintained. Nice touch to have a pool table. There are neaby(walkable) restaurants which are very good(TableTalk Diner) and others. Very convenient as it's directly on Route 9 but set back a block to avoid the noise.

Got in late and the keys were ready and check in was fast. Had cup of coffee and went to the room. Very nice room large and the bed and pillow were excellent. The shower was clean and nice too. Quite night sleep.

We spent one night here with two other families. The hotel and our room were clean and updated. Our suite was spacious and beds comfortable. We enjoyed the time spent at the hot tub and pool as it was a very cold weekend and the outdoor entertainment options were limited. The breakfast was fairly good and well stocked. All the staff we encountered was pleasant and helpful. The only slight negatives were the noise of the elevator since our room was close to it (not sure what can be done except warn the guest) and that the pool was unavailable on Sunday till 10.15 am because of maintenance. The work was done within about 30 minutes from 9.45 am to 10.15 am so it would have been nice to have access to the pool before. But the front desk clerk was understanding enough to give us a one hour delayed check out. I would recommend this hotel!

We were upgraded to two bedroom suite with a fireplace. The room was clean and spacious. It met our expectations for a Marriott Residence Inn. The staff were friendly and attentive. We would recommend this hotel.

Our family was in town to visit Vassar College, and the location was very convenient for that purpose. The room was roomy, and the beds were comfortable. It's always nice to see friendly staff. The breakfast, was standard, and served it's purpose.

After spending a night at home with no power following the Nor’easter storm that hit the Hudson Valley - we reserved a couple nights here to wait for power to return. It was not as close as we would have liked, but there were no closer properties with availability. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of a few good eateries and coffee places , such as Starbucks, Bonsai and Red Robin. The one bedroom suite that we reserved was fine. The free breakfast was pretty decent. What was a bit surprising is that the hotel did not offer any free coffee, fruit or cookies in the common area. I thought that most of these kind of hotels had things like lemon water, coffee and at certain times some free fruit or cookies. Even if they did not do such things normally - with so many people coming in to stay due to the power outages - it would have been a welcome gesture for the displaced families. Another issue was the availability of extra pillows. We had two teenagers that had to share the pull out sofa... but only one pillow was provided in the room and they had no extra pillows to give us. Yet another issue was the pool/whirlpool area. There were no towels available at the pool and the place was a bit of a mess with so many visitors just throwing the used towels everywhere. The next day that I went to the pool , fresh towels had still not been restocked.

Stayed here for two nights recently. I really wanted to give this a better rating. The decor is updated and pleasant, the rooms are good size, plenty of space for a couple and a dog. They are pet friendly (extra fee) and the front desk and management were all very nice and helpful. But...the breakfast service and the man working the area were very much below par. First day, came down with plenty of time left, and there was hardly any food. A big tin of hard, cold scrambled eggs and some wheat bread for toast. This was an hour before it was to shut down. But worse was that there were no plates, bowls, etc. When I asked, a rude gentleman said they were coming, but it took 10 minutes for any plates to show up. Forget about utensils. First day, the utensils were filthy, so much so that every guest down there was hovering around asking for clean utensils. They never came. I ate with my fingers. Second day, went even earlier. Still a bunch of unappetizing scrambled eggs and no utensils. I was more vocal this time, and the same man brought four dripping wet forks out and put them in the container. I did report this to the front desk, and the clerk apologized profusely and said she would alert the manager. Other than the breakfast, the only complaints were that no toiletries were left in the room and there was some uneaten candy on top of the refrigerator. Otherwise, all was clean and very comfy bed.

We stayed at the hotel last summer when we came to drop our son to the college and we were so happy with our stay that we decided to choose it this time as well. Spacious room, great location, warm and friendly staff makes it a great place to stay. Loved our stay here.

My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn for one night. Due to spousal snoring, I prefer a suite with a door between the bedroom and living area, so when my husband is evicted from bed, he has a place to go with a sound buffer between the two of us. This is not an easy find in the world of hotels. Hence, we chose this property. The front desk person was very nice and professional upon check in. He was actually surprised we were checking out the very next day. He said the typical guest stay is five months or so. As the name states it is a "Residence Inn". The hotel has a shuttle and a driver took us to our dinner destination that evening. It was not offered, but when our friends checked in, they asked about the service and were promised a ride. That was a very welcome surprise. We took a Lyft back to the hotel after dining. A breakfast was included, but my husband went for coffee and reported that the offerings were not all that enticing, so we went elsewhere for breakfast. I am all but OCD when it comes to cleanliness and I was impressed with the housekeeping at this hotel! I am often disappointed and grossed out. There was not a single hair as is too often the case (gross) or a dust or lint ball to be found upon entering our room. I was very, very pleased. The property appears to have been recently renovated as all furnishings were up to date and in very good condition. The room had a kitchen and dinette, which we did not need, a desk and chair, also not necessary for our needs, a sofa and television in the living room, a bedroom also with a television, a vanity area and a separate room with the shower/tub and toilet. There was a full closet in the bedroom and a smaller foyer closet as well. Of course dressers and night tables were provided as well. Everything one would need for a longer stay could be found. The hotel is equipped with an indoor pool, billiards table, a small fitness center and laundry facilities. Outside, I saw a basketball court. These are the amenities I saw at a glance. The reason I was not too excited about staying at the Residence Inn for only one night, is that the property fails to give off that hotel, vacation, getaway vibe. It lacks a proper, full sized lobby, a bar, restaurant, etc. It feels more like a low rise apartment building actually. The purpose of our stay was to meet another couple for dinner in the area to celebrate a birthday .They chose to stay at this hotel as well, so we could all be together. We brought a bottle of Proseco with us and some snacks for the four of us to have in our room. It would surely have been more fun and festive in a bar with staff, other people, music, etc. That is what this property lacked and I understand why they do not provide these amenities. Additionally, there are no robes or slippers, shower caps, cotton balls, q-tips, etc. available for use as in many other hotels. Again, I understand the reasons for these decisions as the bulk of the business comes from long stays and those people have their own items. In summary, if you are going to be in the area for a bit of time, or just desire the plentiful and convenient accommodations of an apartment versus a typical hotel room, stay at the Marriott Residence Inn. Just for a night or two, I personally, would prefer a true hotel experience.

Very nice place to stay. We were up for two nights visiting friends. We had a King Suite and appreciated the extra space. Great value considering the other hotels in the area charge the same for a smaller room. Having a full kitchen, couch was nice to have to relax not having to sit on the bed to stretch out.
