The property was nive but the restaurant was closed and dining options limited. The lodge was not full due to covid restrictions.

Bear Mountain is a great place to visit and the inn is beautiful. Unfortunately, the internet was awful and the television did not work.

Because of the weather there weren't too much indoor activities

I loved how I was able to use the chimney and the staff assisted in getting wood and fire to enjoy a nice warm evening at the summit lodge.

Excellent place I love the was fantastic I will recommend and I will stay again

Gorgeous scenery and building. Very nice, comfortable room. Got an upgrade because there were few guests. Only issue was the heating was old and jerked on noisily, sometimes interrupting shuteye. No biggie though.

Absolutely beautiful! This inn was built in 1915. One of the most charming inns I have had the pleasure of staying at. The food was excellent and the staff was very friendly.

A wonderful rustic lodge, perched in perhaps the most naturally scenic spot I've been in in a hotel. Out my window, the Hudson River, winding its way South, framed in woodland. But I think the place is used a lot in the warm weather by rowdy wedding parties and not that much used in colder months (when we were there) The common area is great, but wasn't inviting. I would have liked to take a book, or just sit, while my companions slept. A large common area is a real nice addition, but it was slightly unkempt. A loud buzz from something that wouldn't turn off, no books or games in the shelves. A dozen bare shelves instead, What should have felt like a luxurious space felt instead like a passageway you should just rush through. It felt dusty (whether it was I'm not sure) The room though was very clean, the decor charming. No complaints there!

The surroundings is beautiful, but the hotel itself is not impressive. We stayed at Overlook Lodge. There was a wedding blasting loud music at the lower floor until 10:30 PM. The floor and walls were vibrating from the loud music. This doesn't work for anyone with young kids.

Quite and relaxing, overall a great stay to get away from they city for a night or a weekend.

We had a wonderful stay at the Overlook Lodge. It is a nice blend of rustic and convenient - makes you feel like you're out in the woods (which you are) but still have access to modern conveniences. Food was good, but service was outstanding. The actual cottages we stayed at, while generally well appointed, could do with some updates to the plumbing. WiFi is a little spotty in the detached units, so if you're not trying to disconnect from the world, find a room at the main lodge. Convenient access to the Bear Mountain hiking trails is a huge plus and parking is free for hotel guests. So come for a day-hike, but stay the night (or two) to rest those sore muscles.

Beautiful landscape, very peaceful and relaxing. Easy access!

It was a rustic feel with all the amenities. The scenery & location was beautiful. It was tucked away so it was very private.
