Easy fix. - FAIL Balcony Door Lock Broken - told maintenance wouldn't care if I didn't have a toddler I didn't want to get out, he proceeded to show her how to work the lock after he fixed it...thanks but no thanks - FAIL Front Desk Staff - Friendly but failed to follow up on issues as they occurred - NEUTRAL Housekeeping - Clean room other than initial issue of having dirty sheets, took personal belongings out of the closet - FAIL Pool Decks - Not maintained on daily basis. Broken ladder, slippery from sand/water mixture, gutters need major cleaning, broken furniture, rooftop bar/restaurant closed, people using pool bathroom for drug use - FAIL Follow up for any issues as they were occurring - FAIL

My only complaint is that the AC wasn't up to par. It worked but not like it should.

Yes the hotel was right on the boardwalk but the pools were dirty, loads amount of hair floating in both pools and we tried to go 3 different times each day and we asked for the pools to be cleaned, my son did get pink eye the one time we did get in before we noticed all of the hair. The rooftop pool was also very small and the other pool wasnt much bigger. The hotel room didn't have good water pressure in the shower and the bathroom door wouldn't lock, it was broken. We had 2 queen beds in The room but The second bed was so close to The sliding glass door you had to crawl across the bed to get off of it...2 kids slept in that bed. The elevator was very slow, not much parking at all. We will not stsy here again and definitely don't recommend it.

Good hotel. Biggest problem was parking. Hotel parking lot was full so was the extra parking across the street. We finally found a parking space and didn't move the car until we checked out.

Clean rooms, good service, close to the beach and boardwalk.

First of they moved the front desk from the front to the back of the property. It's was very confusing to find. Then when you do there's not enough space for but maybe one car to check in at a time. There's no where near enough parking spaces. The front desk staff was very nice. They did let us check in early. The rooms are OK. The beds weren't that comfortable. They hadn't cleaned out the fridge from the previous people. The 2 pools were nice and so was the workout room. Are stay was OK, but next time we will stay somewhere else.

Stayed here about 5 years ago and the hotel wasn't too bad but this time around it just looked old and a little run down. My friends and I stayed in a suite and while the beds were clean the floor was pretty dirty as well as there were scuff marks on the walls and the couch was destroyed. I would stay again only if the rooms are updated.

Good location rooms are clean but they can do better no body want to see hair on the bathroom floor or on the bed sheets

For the price and location you can't beat this hotel! Our room was beautiful and very comfortable, stayed in 2 King room with a view of ocean from the side, so happy we chose to stay here! Perfect for family with kids!

We checked in late so the parking was full and had to park about two blocks away in a dark empty lot and walk two blocks back to the hotel. The room was dingy and hot. The ac wasn't working so we had to sleep with the balcony door open to get some air. The balcony door wouldn't shut properly. It took two of us to get it shut. There was one cheap plastic chair for the balcony but it was inside the room because there was no table or any sort of sitting furniture inside the room. The outlet next to the bed didn't even have an outlet cover on it. The linens and curtains had cigarette burns on them. The floor was so dirty that we wore footwear the entire time and there were even ants in the room. They did fix the ac the next day after the request was made. The voicemail light on the phone constantly flashed but the hotel covered the light with tape to help minimize it (eye roll). The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the location to the boardwalk.

we were promised a beach view and got a partial view. We were very disappointed by this. Then the second night we were there our air conditioning broke , so they moved us to a different room which was the room we were supposed to get when we got there (beach view) !!!

Noisy, no staff at lobby desk. Have to go next door

Me and my wife stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel was ok but has extremely outdated rooms but when you walk the halls you notice that they appear to have been updated. I think you should worry about the rooms more then the hallway. The air condition had to be set at a certain temperature and if you went below that it would freeze up. Well I had it set on 70 and it still froze up after stating not to set it below or it would freeze. I did love that it was right on the boardwalk close to everything.

Ocean City is always a wonderful place to visit.

The title says it all. I have to be that not picky to find a single thing wrong with the hotel. It was amazing and clean and just wonderful.

The room was disgusting. There was dirt smudges all over the walls, the shades had splatter of something all over them, there was someone's hair all wrapped up in the bath towels, the clock didn't work, the door didn't lock properly, the toilet would flush 3 times every time you flushed it and the bed was like sleeping on concrete. Don't stay here. It's sleazy and not that cheap for what you get. Pay the extra and stay at a nicer hotel.

Convenient location, room was big and spacious but reminded me of a spring break hotel. Good for just a night or 2

The staff was great. I went with a good female friend of mine and I got the suite which gave us our own space. We were very comfortable. Rooms were clean but u expect some sand or wet stairways or hallways since it is right on the beach. Great food all around. Recommend the tap house. Pool bar staff Brittney and state were amazing and the front desk staff were very awesome too. I would live there if I could.

I stayed with family for the weekend. All in all Tidelands Caribdean Hotel is an okay place. It wasn't what I expected, not what it looks like in the pictures, but I guess you're paying for the location, which was right on the boardwalk. So yes I would recommend it.
